So bought the two ball triple track. I was convinced by the increase in center strikes. I have had problems in the past with off center hits. I'm blown away. I love it. I am lining up putts better, making pure strikes, and most importantly making more putts. I am a koolaid drinker of this product. Couldn't be happier. And I have found a ball marker that allows me to draw the lines on any ball. Highly recommend yall at least trying it at a retail shop.

Do you have a link to the ball marker you use?

Brilliant. Great reminder of golf. You must of flushed that 7i.

I suppose I did. I haven't really thought about where I hit it. I'm using cast irons and I haven't been playing long enough to know where I hit the ball based on feel.

  3. During my last round, I found myself on the fairway on 18 about 160 yards from the pin. My Arccos told me to use my 6 iron but I had been hitting strong all day so I opted for my 7. I landed the ball about 15 feet from the pin to reach the green in regulation and ended up parring the hole. Since I haven't been able to golf since, that's the shot I keep remembering.

    1. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score?

23 years with a 13 year gap in the middle because "golf isn't cool dad". I normally shoot 85-86.
    2. What do you love about golf?

The mechanics of everything, how personal the struggle is, how leveling and humbling it can be, and how at the end of the day, it's just a nice walk outside.
    3. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies?

Don't know any other spies, but I occasionally check in here for opinions on equipment. I still play the first real clubs my dad bought me so I check in to see what I could replace them with, but could never pull the trigger.
    4. Where are you from? What is your home course?

Orange County, CA. San Juan Hills GC
    5. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region?

The best thing is the environment is perfect for year round golf. Even when it's hot, it only gets up to maybe 90 and there's no winter off season. Worst thing is that every course is so damn expensive, it's a good 50-65 bucks on average for a non twilight round.
    6. What do you do for a living?

      Middle school science teacher
    7. How’d you pick your user name?

Nickname from high school that has become my username for most things.

Welcome Ploobear. I played Fullerton on New Years Eve. Pretty nice course. Have you played it?

    Hi Everyone,

Really happy to have joined this forum.

I've been playing golf sporadically for about 7 years, but just got into it more seriously about two years ago, since then I've improved, but my handicap is still around a 29.  I just find it to be an amazingly fun sport, where even if you're not great at it you can still have an amazing time and even a few incredible moments.

I discovered MyGolfSpy a few months ago and have thoroughly enjoyed the in depth reviews.

I live in the LA area but don't really have a home course.  I started learning at Woodley Lakes before expanding to other courses in the area, so no I play where I can and when I can.  Top of the favorites list though has gotta be Rustic Canyon, that's where I broke 100 for the the first time and it will always hold a special place for me.  Thankfully Southern California Golf is great with a lot of diversity in courses, the hardest thing is often deciding where to play and also knowing that some of the best courses are private and hard to get into.

I'm a TV producer IRL so golf offers an amazing escape for me from the stress of my job.  Looking forward to connecting more with this community.

    Best,

    Rami

Welcome, Rami! My brother lives in Ventura County and they just opened their courses. He wants to play at Sterling on Saturday but I'm not quite ready yet to venture out and risk it.

    20 years

What’s your handicap or normal score?

I dont play in winter, so spring can be a struggle bus sometimes. Mid 70s for average though.

What do you love about golf?

Really just being outdoors, and competing.

    What brings you to MyGolfSpy?

I usually read the feeds when I'm looking for equipment, guess I may as well return the favor!

Do you already know any other Spies? No

    Where are you from?

    Esom Hill GA

    What is your home course?

Good question... I play a lot of courses, my buddy is the pro at Meadow Lakes so I guess that would be it.

What are the best and worst things about golf in your region?

Winters are wet 24/7, why I dont play in winter. Best... There are alot of mountainous courses with nice views and wild layouts.

What do you do for a living?

    The Fuzz, Twelve, Five-0

How’d you pick your user name?

Well it's my work nickname....Long Story..

    Welcome!

  7. Here's what's in my bag. The driver (for now) is a Mazel 9.5 degree driver I picked up off of Amazon on Black Friday for $85. It's good enough for now. I waiting to get out of isolation so I can get fitted for something that might fit me better.

    The irons are Rogue X's. I'm carrying a Rogue X 3H & 4H.

My wedges are all Cleveland CBX 2s. I have 4 wedges because the lofts on the irons are very strong.

The putter is an Odyssey Exo 2ball.

  8. Hi everyone. I'm Jim. I live in Los Angeles. I am a COO of a small MSP/MSSP focusing on cybersecurity. I started golfing in September 2019. My current handicap is 31.7 and was on its way down from 36 when we were all put in isolation. i had hoped to be under 30 by now.

My home course is Rancho Park in West Los Angeles (near UCLA) and so far I love this game. I love the challenge of it but mostly I love the camaraderie and being outside surrounded by nature.

During the isolation, I've installed a hitting net and get out there 3-4 times a week practicing my pitching and hitting.

I won some SuperSpeedGolf sticks from MyGolfSpy in January and am currently in Phase 2 Week 2 of the training. So far my swing speed has increased by from about 95 to just over 100.

I derived my username from an old Nintendo game Metroid Prime.

    Anyway, glad to be here.
