  1. That's awesome @Dan Underwood you can really forge your own putter. I'd go with a double or triple wide blade, like you suggested. Make sure you post pictures with ever you decide!
  2. Great Community Call! I'll echo what others said, Anand of Ghost Golf was great. It was good to hear his story of how the name "Ghost" originated and enjoyed Anand's passion! Thanks for setting up the call Jamie!!
  3. Prayers with you @sirchunksalot & also with Mrs. Sirchunk!
  4. Good Thursday Morning Spies! Cloudy Central Florida morning, 66 degree's. No golf today, working out of office. On 2nd cup of espresso! Going to take clubs with me today and hopefully get some chipping and putting in. Have a Great Day Everyone! Stay Warm & hit’em straight️
  5. @CorporateGolfRat I wouldn't say the Tour Response is more spinny than the Pro V1. Matter of fact, one of the reasons I opted to use the Tour Response, I felt using a Pro V1 on sanded greens would result in ball kind of deadening when hitting the green, with a softer shell. I wanted to play a firmer ball. It was between the OnCore Vero X1 & Tour Response Stripe. Went with the TR Stripe. I could tell with a couple of chips the Tour Response ball released and didn't grab as quickly as a Pro V. Surprised how the Tour Response ball spun on the green. I'm sure the sand contributed to that as well.
  6. Walked 18 holes yesterday morning and when we got to the course, we were informed they were sanding the greens, could not go off before 7am. This past Monday they verticut the greens, which is great. So I decided to play the TaylorMade Tour Response with the yellow/green stripe. A bit firmer than Pro V1. MGS golf ball rating showed the Tour Response Stripe at (91), 2nd to Pro V1 at (93). The ball held up well with sanded greens. However, the ball did show wear after 18 holes. Thought it interesting how I think the Tour Response held up better with sanded greens, than the Titleist Test Ball did, which I tested back in December with regular non-sanded greens. Not a clear shot but TM logo was good, not worn. The sand used was green sand. Greens were rolled, watered & rolled nicely with sanded greens. There were clumps of sand, which did impact the balls keeping on line. This photo below shows the ball did get a bit beat up by the greens & also being in two greenside bunkers. Not a normal wear after 18 holes. The photo below is the other side of the ball from above. You can see how the dimples are worn and dull all over the ball. Overall, I was very impressed with the ball's reaction on the sanded greens. Even spun the ball about 6ft, off the green into a bunker on a Par 3. You couldn't beat yourself up over putting. While the ball did roll nicely most of the time, the sand did impact the roll of the ball. Surprised by the good scoring, I shot 1 under on the front, but did shoot two over on the back. I'm going to keep a couple of Tour Response golf balls in my bag. Not this one though .

  10. @rkj427 it was pretty cool! Funny thing, after I shook his hand, I said - "Hookin" Handley, isn't that what Chris Schenkel called you? He laughed & said, yea among other things. LOL. Handley was the original cranker. He's a nice man! Bob is 2nd from right, Mr. Russ Mills (also retired PBA)to the left of Bob & on the end in gray shirt is Retired Part Time PBA Bowler & Local Bowling Legend Mr. Lenny Biondi. Lenny smooth left-hander. The guy can still bowl! It was pretty cool RK!
  11. Great Lead @Marlin Dave!! Going to check out the espresso today, from desktop computer . The Coffee description sounds really good.
  12. Good Monday Morning Spies! Chilly start to a Central Florida morning, 46 degrees & clear skies. No golf today. The pool pump is leaking, so having it repaired this morning. Busy weekend of Ranger duties at golf course. Course was packed both Saturday & Sunday. Saturday, I did get to meet retired Pro Bowler Bob Handley. That was cool, especially if you were a bowler in the 80's & 90's. Finishing first cup of espresso. Working from home. Hopefully pump is not a painful $$ issue, . Have a Great Day Everyone! Stay Warm & Hit'em Straight! Safe Travels @IndyBonzo

  16. Great article Mark! Hydration on the golf course is very important. I started using LMNT, cause of cramping after the round, in this Florida heat. Water wasn't enough. Ever since using LMNT, I've not had muscle cramps! Will try the others you listed in the article!
  17. Good Late Thursday Morning Spies! 46 degrees at 7am tee off. No wind and clear skies, made for a great 18 hole walk. No driver or 3 wood played today. Worked on iron game & new TS2 19 degree rescue. Fun round. High today will be 75 degrees. Tomorrow a bit warmer. Finally, we might be experiencing warmer Florida weather! Experiencing 1st cup of hot espresso, right now! Have a Great Day Everyone! Stay Warm & Hit'em straight.
  18. @GolfSpy_KFT it's such a simple drill, isn't it? I was looking for a way to get my hips better engaged. I felt my hips were too restricted. I saw the drill on Saguto Golf. Like you, I had that aha moment. Jason, when I'm at the range, I'll hit balls with alignment stick in my belt loops. It's a good way to making sure your arms are connected in takeaway and your rhythm is good, not too fast. Try hitting balls with the alignment stick in your belt. LOL. Don't swing too fast!
  19. Walked 18 holes this morning, birdied the first hole, but didn't manage another birdie till hole #11. Chalk it up to cold weather & mediocre putting. Worked on rhythm today, after finding something yesterday. Slowed myself down & had more rhythm with the swing, not matter the club used. Trusting the swing more and not rushing. Hit the ball nicely from the 4th hole and on. Putting has been disappointing the past week (and all of 2024). For the back 9, I went back to using the Japanese putting grip (that's the only way I can describe it) and it worked nicely. Getting a feel for the speed has been an issue and I think the primary reason for not scoring. Results this morning, 2 over on the front, 1 over on the back. Chipping was good. Had one 3 putt from 57 ft, uphill breaking to left. Misread the break to the left, ball went by hole breaking even further left, leaving about a 6 foot putt for par, which I missed. @GolfSpy_KFT the alignment stick through the belt loops, was the best drill I had ever done to understand how to engage the hips. What a great drill, glad it resonated Jason!
  20. Living in Central Florida, there are a lot of great courses. Resort courses such as the Disney Courses, Waldorf, Ritz Carlton, Bay Hill to name a few, are great! I've played in some nice courses in some US Senior Open Qualifiers, Ocala area with some great courses! Adena & Golden Ocala & the PGA courses in Palm Beach area, oh my! Florida has great courses. I really enjoy the golf courses in Las Vegas. A buddy of mine & I would go (with our wives) to Vegas annually, while the wives would be gambling & we'd go and play golf. Vegas has some very nice courses, great conditions, and great scenery. Bears Best, in Vegas, is one of my favorites. Had a client who ran a golf academy out of Las Vegas National, in the 90's, that was a fun course. The Vegas home used in Goodfella's was on Las Vegas National. The desert courses were challenging, different & fun! With the Vegas thinner air, the ball goes, and inflates the ego. LOL. Haven't played any courses in North or South Carolina. As @Tom the Golf Nut stated South Carolina is the Mecca of golf. One day will make my way up there and back to California. California has great courses as well!
  21. Good Wednesday Morning Spies! Another chilly Central Florida morning. 49 degrees at 7am tee time. The lack of wind made for a nice walk for at least 15 holes, then the wind picked up and into us, brrr! LOL. Putting was still cool today, although shot a 1 over round, ball striking not bad. Enjoying a nice HOT cup of Espresso right now. Working from home. Have a Great Day Everyone! Stay warm!
  22. Happy Birthday Gentlemen! Have a Great Day!! @Digiburdie wait till you get into your 60's! 49 isn't old
  23. Good Tuesday Day Spies! It was a chilly Central Florida Morning, 43 degrees at 7am tee off. But no wind & the thing they call a "sun" was out. It was a nice 18-hole walk. The golf was not too hot, putter was still a bit cold, 2 over round. Working from home today. Thought I'd stop at the store on way home to buy batteries for garage door opener. 45 minutes later dang garage door opener still doesn't work, with brand new batteries. UGH. @skraeling John Pinette is hysterical. Kind of eerie, Just yesterday a friend emailed me one Pinette's standup routines - "Chinese Buffet" - The guy is funny, including the one you posted. Have a Great Day Everyone!! Stay Warm & Hit'em straight P.S. Happy Birthday @EasyPutter
  24. I like the spikeless. Had switched to Ecco spikeless shoes years ago, after Freddy Couples was using them. Two years ago I switched to Sqairz Shoes which has 3 soft spikes on each shoe and I really like the Sqairz. The Ecco's are worn out & bought a pair of FootJoy Flex spikeless shoes and like them. The Flex is not really waterproof & not made for walking the course in the Florida mornings, with how wet it is from morning dew.
  25. Congratulation Testers! Look forward to reading your comments about the Edel Putters!!
