I'm a student at UC San Diego. I've been golfing for years, and am constantly trying to improve my game. As I was golfing several months back, I was thinking about how much I love golf, and want to expand its reach to new golfers. I want each golfer to walk away from the game (or the range) feeling empowered, gratified, and relaxed, just the way I do when I get out and hit some shots. I want a product that's easy to use, so that it brings out the best in each golfer's game.
I'm creating an app prototype that uses just the iPhone camera to analyze every part of your swing including your body and golf ball and give you instant feedback on how to improve. My goal is to ease the frustration that comes with golfers just getting into the game, maybe they’re not ready to see a coach or can’t afford a coach. I’m looking for about 20 golfers with iPhones to tell me about their experience with golfers, helping me out with the app. The best part is that you can test it out indoors. I built a dataset of over 10k golfers from amateur to pro and was able to find several different things that golfers have in common with their swing. I’m coming to MyGolfSpy, because I respect the community’s opinion and want to help more people fall in love with the game. I look forward to your feedback and hope to see you on green soon!
