I would recommend The Tribute, Grapevine, Thorntree and Texas Rangers Golf Club. If you are looking for an old school track, Cedar Crest is in great shape.

The handicap app The Grint, has a North Texas tour. They play all over the metroplex. The last tournament was at Thorntree in DeSoto.

It's a good ball for higher handicap (which I am). What I like about it, is the consistency. I agree that it does not go as far as a TP5 and does not check up on the green like a Pro-V1, but it works for me.

I prefer to walk until the Texas heat kicks in. Then it's cart with a cooler. I also feel that you play faster when you walk.
