  1. Is there ever an afternoon in Eastern Washington when it's not windy, except when its triple digits?
  2. Played Loomis Trails in Blaine, WA this weekend. It's been nearly 15 years since I first played the course. I was reminded how great a track it is, and all of the "hidden" dangers. I should of bought a yardage book - would have saved me at least 3 shots!
  3. I would also add - I sure hope we do not see a huge spike in the coming months and the courses need to shut down again. That would suck.
  4. Some of the Washington Tribes decided to go their own way and open sooner. Salish Cliffs opened Tuesday and White Horse opened Thursday. It was a scramble Monday to get a tee time at Salish Cliffs for this Saturday, but success was had! Looking forward to getting back out regularly. If folks play courses where the cups have been raised above the surface, suggest to the staff they try installing the cubs upside down. The bottom is concave and sits just about an inch or so below the surface. You can still put out like normal and easily grab your ball - it never fully drops below the surface. I played a course in Oregon a few weekends ago and that is how they had their cups installed. It took some time trusting the ball was going to actually stay in the cup, but it was better than just banging a put up again a raised cup liner, in my opinion. A quick plug for my men's club. If you live in the greater Seattle/Bellevue area and want to join an active and fun men's club, consider the men's club at Harbour Pointe Golf Club. The course is in awesome shape. The guys did an outstanding job keeping the maintenance up over the past 6 weeks. We're still working on our revised schedule, but there is a weekend competition at least twice a month, and every Wednesday. We also have four two-day tournaments throughout the year of varying formats.
  5. Hello all from Lynnwood, WA and current lock down purgatory. Just joined the forum. By way of introduction, I've been playing golf for about 20 years now. Picked it up seriously senior year in college. I mostly play at Harbour Pointe where I am an active member of the men's club, but I try to play other courses around the greater Seattle area. I play at least once every two weeks during the off-season, but once a week at least in season. I would play more if my better half would let me. This stay at home order is killing me - i rarely go a week without going to the range at least once. Thankfully I was able to get in 36 at HP Saturday before the order came down! I love the work My Golf Spy does so I figured it was time to join the forum, and also have a chance at testing the T100s*. I've been curious about them since they were released. My friend has the T100, and they look awesome, albeit a little intimidating compared to the size of my Apex 19s. I considered trying the T100, but i know i would be frustrated by what I'm sure would be some distance loss since the lofts on the Apex are a tad stronger. Hope all are well and staying as sane as possible during this crazy time!
