  1. Replaced my stock driver shaft with a Graphite Design MAD. Hardly a "premium" shaft, but the difference was well worth the price for me.
  2. Definitely age. I play 4/5 days a week when there isn't snow on the ground, and there just aren't many more swings in my back, hands, hips. Even prolonged putting will aggravate things. Probably go the range 1 or 2 times a month if it seems my swing is really out of wack. Will focus on grip, stance, alignment until I hit a few solid ones -20/30 balls- and thats it for practice.
  3. I'm a senior golfer and use the same graphite shaft in my wedges and other irons- Recoil 680. Works just fine.

  5. If both players enter scores to GHIN properly and use course handicaps for the tees both are playing that day it's as fair as it is going to get.
  6. Depending on who shows up my regular group includes 8-12 people (men and women) from 55 to 75 years old. Everybody plays the tees they want to play. Add a woman to your group and playing appropriate tees becomes more acceptable to everyone.
  7. Very pleased with my 7 wood. Have a 3 hygrid that I swap in/out depending on the course I am playing.
  8. 4.5 hours is slower than necessary. Switch to a different color ball and ask your playing partners to watch where it goes.
  9. Traditionally- since 1938- you have been allowed to carry 14 clubs. Since that time it has been up to the golfer to decide how to organize their bag. Manufacturers offer more choices than ever to reach that 14 number, but that hardly seems like a bad thing. If 5 wedges suit your game do it.
  10. Best club is driver. Worst is anything I try to chip with.
  11. Hybrid. Don't have the swing speed to keep a 2 iron in the air. Also true with 3 and 4 irons.
