  1. Thanks! Actually got a message on some KBS $ Taper shaft pulls i purchased! SOLD.
  2. Looking for 3i-PW or 4i-PW. KBS $-Taper 130x Black PVD Preferred, but I could do standard chrome. .355 Tip Diameter - Standard length or over standard.
  3. IMG_3368.HEICIMG_3369.HEICIMG_3367.HEIC Couple pics of my set up. Not done yet! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  4. Man those are sexy looking. I'm going to my local fitter when I finally can get out of the house after the lockdown, he is set up with a full fitting package @ his place. I took 1 swing with the 7i and smashed it dead center. I'm definitely looking forward to doing a full iron fitting and giving those a test ride. They def have the right look thats for sure.
  5. Awesome. Thanks for the tip! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  6. Wow thats some balls! Love it, glad it worked out for you!
  7. I'm trying to justify it so bad! Along with MP20 MBs lol I do have a swing weight scale, forgot to put that on there & a digital scale for total weight.
  8. Thank you sir! I have a heat gun i used to remove club heads and heat the epoxy up. I do have a small torch, but I don't trust my ADD to use it! haha I'll pick up a pipe cutter @ home depot and give that whirl, seems like kind of a no brainer, but i've only used the chop saw. Cheers!
  9. Wow. These are beauties! Moving the couch cushions to try and find the $$! lol Gorgeous Irons Bud! Just out of my price range!
  10. Kevin Kisner Tiger Woods Rory McIlroy Ideally, there would be a few cocktails mixed in and it would be a bright sunny day @ Augusta National, would be an unreal group to hang with for the day.
  11. Same on this. AM - Wake up early & ride the Peloton , hit 100 putts on the putt out mat with the mirror and gate. go about my normal day, then hit another lifting workout in the afternoon, hit 10-20 more putts on the mat. If nothing else, hopefully i drop the few strokes i lose busting the rust off my swing with a lower putting average! lol
  12. I walk almost exclusively. We have a few courses around me (South East Massachusetts) that are extremely hilly and wind in and out of neighborhoods, so there isn't much of an option there. My home course is a perfect walking course and i love it, played 50 holes the other day walking, and routinely play 36 walking. Great exercise, plus it speeds up the game IMO. IF everyone walked at a normal pace, directly to their ball, pace of play would be much better.
  13. Massachusetts is all closed (according to the Gov.) I'm sure a few are staying open. All Non-Essential businesses are shut down until 4/7/20 @ 12:00pm. Rhode Island & Connecticut were open as of this afternoon, but with NY & NJ on the Covid-19 rise I doubt those places will stay open much longer. NH just shut down courses until May 4.
  14. Bag Boy Quad XL user here. LOVE The stability & space i have in the pocket & the compartment near the hand grip. I also have the Bag Boy Chiller cart back with the top lock tech. The combo is great, bag never gets loose, no straps, no extra anything. Also, not sure how many people do this, but i use the quad XL with my backpack as well. Before I put my golf bag on, i put my 2 backpack straps inside the 2 notches for the top lock on the cart, then put my bag right on top of the straps and lock it in. Makes for a serious amount of extra space, i bring the go pro, snacks, extra socks, and some cold weather gear, hopefully i can dump that stuff soon though!!
  15. Hi All! I'm just recently getting back into my club repair/building. Went to school and took some classes on this back in the day, the only thing I am missing in my set up at the moment that i think would really benefit me would be a Mitchell type machine for bending loft/lie. Is there a solid option out there that isn't going to cost me $1,000+. I'm not yet planning on doing this for a ton of other people, so the investment wouldnt be worth it at the moment. I will bite the bullet eventually since it's something i would love to get back into as a part time gig. Right now in my makeshift shop I have mostly golf works equipment: Grip station (Vice mounted) Shaft extractor (Vice mounted) 1" x 30" belt sander Bench top small chop saw 8" grinder wheel (new purchase, still not sure exactly what buffing/grinding wheels to get) PLUS all the extra smaller tools needed to remove grips & do the small stuff Any other recommendations would be awesome! Thanks! Thank you!
  16. CC Needham Massachusetts I had an amazing experience here as well. SAM Putt Lab is a great tool, I wouldnt trust anyone fitting with naked eye on an outdoor green. IMO a putter fitting is way more about numbers than what someone sees on a putting green. CC in MA was a great clean spot, they had a great set up for full swing & putter fittings. They also offered basically every club repair/upgrade option you could think of. Andie Savel was my fitter, she was very knowledgeable and didn't push anything on me that i didn't feel comfortable with. She gave me all the answers to any question i asked and responded fast via email after my fitting as well.
  17. Thank you!! Smart man! My mom actually got it for me Christmas 2018! Great gift, head covers, balls, tees & gloves are always a good gift!
  18. Thank you! I can't wait to do some tweaking on the srixon irons with some new shafts!! What made you go mizuno woods & then TaylorMade irons? I've been looking at mizuno irons for years! Also great choice on balls!
  19. How do you like the Cobra Forged Tec Irons? I also heard those C-Taper 120s are STOUT for a stiff shaft, any issues with feel at all?
  20. Alright everyone, here's my WITB for 2020: Umbrella - I usually don't have it in the bag, but for these pics & the sketchy weather in the north east right now. Its in the bag. Driver - Callaway Epic Flash SZ - 9* - HZRDS Yellow 65x - I turn the head down 1* to 8* and move it to the D (Draw setting) Driving Iron - Ping G410 Crossover - 17* 2i - Alta CB 70x Irons - 4i - PW - Callaway X-Forged 18 - Project X 6.5 Shafts - 2*UP lie - "Standard" Callaway X-Forged lofts & lengths Wedges - Titleist Vokey SM7 - 50* - 54* - 60* - Standard L/L/L Putter - Taylormade TP Patina Series - Del Monte- 2* Loft - 70* Lie - 35" Ball - Bridgestone Tour BX - Flower mark on it, I haven't seen anyone else with that (that i play with) so its very easy to identify which ball is mine! I recently purchased some Srixon iron heads & some KBS $Taper 130x shafts, so i'm going to be giving those a whirl when the shafts come in! Pumped for the weather to start turning so we can get on the course more than once/wk! Also the putt out mat & putting trainer is awesome, def worth the investment, my putting has dramatically improved & my consistency is much better! I just purchased the mirror to take to the course and work on my putting stroke, looking forward to even more positive feedback!
  21. Yah it is called Olde Scotland Links. I'd suggest playing during the week, IMO they overbook on the weekends, makes for some slow rounds!
  22. Hey everyone!! First time post here! Always looking to play... I'm in SE Mass, so anywhere around there is great! How long have you been playing golf? I've been playing golf since 2006 (approximately) originally I just was at the driving range hammering away at a driver for hours! lol I got into the game for the first couple actual rounds of golf during that year and fell in love. I play as much as possible now! What’s your handicap or normal score? My handicap is a 6.0 right now. Ended last season @ 5.7 but played a couple bad rounds in Phoenix, went on a buddies trip to the waste management, what a week! What do you love about golf? I love everything about it, I love the competitiveness the most, not necessarily with the playing competitors but with myself, when i'm out there playing i'm just trying to be better than i was the last round. It is a sport you can get very good at, but somedays you will get beaten by the course like its your first round out there. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? MGS was a site that popped up when I was looking for a new driver, I'm erratic AF off the tee with a driver in my hands, so I was looking for most forgiving, most likely for you to hit it straighter, anything to help me get off the tee! lol I love the unbiased reviews, and the honesty. I like to tinker with clubs and recently just got back into it, so I love the breakdowns of all the "New" tech that gets reused a lot, and i love the new product updates. Do you already know any other Spies? I know a lot of my friends read MGS, but I don't think i've met anyone strictly through this website. Where are you from? I'm originally from Bridgewater, Massachusetts... I live in Dighton, Ma now. What is your home course? My home course, new member this year (COVID-19 shut us down) is Norton Country Club What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Golf courses are GORGEOUS, all different designs & locations to choose from. The WORST thing about my region is WINTER. What do you do for a living? I work for a General Contractor doing trade shows, we're always busy, but at the moment COVID-19 has shut us completely down until further notice (august) How’d you pick your user name? I run a traveling golf league in Massachusetts, it was actually started in New Hampshire by one of my buddies, the name of the league is Live Free Golf (NH State Motto). Easy username choice!
