  1. There is a defined gimme zone on every hole. It's 4.25" in diameter and has a flag in it.
  2. I shot 113 in 3:14 in July. Not proud of the score, but it can be done if you're not completely inept.
  3. Thanks, everyone. It's heartwarming to see Birthday wishes from my "imaginary friends" (as mrsputtnfool likes to call you).
  4. Anyone wanna get together for a round in the Atlanta area this Saturday? I'll be staying in Winder, but I'm willing to travel. Have a friend in Buford that might be up for a round, too. If not, at least give me an idea of some place to play. I don't mind spending for the right course. Somewhere on the eastern side of the city would be best, I guess.
  5. I went to 54/58 a few years ago and I like it. The 58 is a bit "easier" than the 60 and the 54 doesn't tend to spin as much as the 56 so it doesn't shed distance when I hit it a little bit "spinny." For reference, I have ZX7 PW and GW. I'm not 100% sure, off the top of my head, what their lofts are. Could be 46/50. Could be 45/50. Could be 46/51. I dunno. Somewhere around there.
  6. I have a BagBoy Revolver that I bought and don't like. If you can figure out how to get it to Mexico, I'll sell it to you for $150.
  7. I have 10+ bags in my arsenal. Currently, using a 2022 (?) Sun Mountain C130 for most of my rounds. For range work and the occasional round where I carry (very seldom now) I have a 2017 (?) SM 4.5LS stand bag. Both have 14 way tops that I will never ever buy a bag without ever again (unless I get a 15 way top).
  8. I'm not sure I'd say "money is no worry," but I'm not too afraid to spend $120 for a good course. Any chance you're up to join me. Anywhere, not necessarily there.
  9. Spies, I will be in the Denver area (staying at a hotel near the airport) from June 12th to 16th. Hoping that someone wants to get together to play a round sometime, but the weekdays will probably be harder to work out. If not, please at least throw out some recommendations for where I should play. I don't mind traveling a little to get to a good course and I don't mind paying a little, but my game is in shambles now so I'd like to keep the cost relatively affordable. ... and go!
  10. I think the biggest rule of etiquette that's missed by all players is to allow faster players to play through. Doesn't matter how fast you're playing, if there's a group behind you that's capable of playing faster, they're waiting on you each hole, and there's room in front of you, then you should let them through.
  11. Cut will be +1. Tiger will be -4 after 2 rounds.
  12. You're right. I was on the 2022 tab. Guess I should pay attention better next time.
  13. Anyone got room for a single this Saturday? I'll be staying in the Plano area, but with enough heads up, I could be anywhere in the metro area at a reasonable time on Saturday. Let me know. If not, I'll probably start looking for a place to play.
  14. Damn! Some of you are already 100% on this and we're not even through March yet! I was gonna join, but not sure I belong in this group any more. Haha...
  15. Break 80. No doubles or worse. No 3+ putts. Seems easy on "paper".
  16. So, I just recently switched to the Q Star Tour from the Z Star XV. Figured it'd be a huge change and take a while to adjust, but it really hasn't. I've actually played some of my best golf with this ball. Wondering if anyone can point me to a breakdown of the four (?) generations and how to ID them. I normally buy balls from lostgolfballs.com and I'm curious as to which is the newest/oldest.
  17. I'm currently gaming the UST Recoil 95 F4 (soft stepped once) in my irons (4-GW). I recently made the move to graphite due to nerve issues and old age, in general. My wedges still have steel shafts in them. They're both Dynamic Gold Tour Issue. One is S400 and the other is wedge flex. I'm not 100% sure on that wedge flex shaft, but I'm certain the S400 is near 130g. I'm contemplating changing to graphite in the wedges, too, but not sure I want to go all the way down to 95g. Thinking of going to the Recoil 110g F4 and putting a 9i shaft in them to match my other wedges. Wondering what others have done.
  18. Six total Driver - UST V2 4wd - I dunno, whatever was in there when I bought it. I need to reshaft it. It's too stiff for me right now. It's a 70x of some sort. 3h - Steelfiber 4-GW - UST Recoil SW/LW - True Temper Putter - Stroke Lab
  19. One week down. Just 11 1/2 more months to go! Good luck with that. Eh, I guess you're probably picking a good time to try it. You'll be so busy with the retirement process that you shouldn't have time to screw around hoing clubs.
  20. I'm sure you've already heard it elsewhere, but... I'll believe it when I see it. Haha... It was great meeting you finally!
  21. Looking for 4-GW, but will consider other setups. F3 or F4 would work. Let me know what you have.
  22. Yeah, I've never been fond of par 3 18th holes. I can agree about the course being fast back out of the way and Navy being easily accessible. I'm hoping to get in 5-6 rounds while I'm there. Just trying to narrow down where.
  23. @yungkory@mr.hicksta why, when talking of military courses on Oahu does Mamala Bay not get any love? I hear the arguments for Klipper, but I also hear many people recommending Navy-Marine, too, before Mamala Bay. Is it just because it's easier to access since it's not on base?
