  1. The putter and the weight set came in today! The putter is a little long, but feel stable and poppy. I wouldn’t call it soft, but I would call it crisp. It has the look of a squareback with a matte finish. I will hopefully roll some outside today, but I have already rolled a bunch on the putting mat. I am a mallet spider guy for 5 seasons, but I played a Newport midslant while college golfing so I am excited to get back to it. I do love the spider X though. What would you guys like to know or have me communicate to you. At first look and whack... 180 for milled putter with weights, rifled shaft (don’t know the brand) and a super stroke seems legit so far.
  2. You guys have to rock some yoga and mobility work. Ibuprofen will rot your stomach lining.
  3. I got rid of it this year, but I played my Olimar TriMetal 5 Wood since 2000 and an old cleveland DIADIC 53 wedge. The Olimar was my favorite in terms of consistency, but the numbers don't match up anymore.
  4. I really love Taylormade putters, but I could not handle the look of these.
  5. I really a want to try these! They look awesome and I keep hearing how good the feel is. I bought on of the KS1 Putters from Kirkland ... So I will see how that one rolls. But I also really love the Spyder X’s.
  6. Massive improvements can come from finding a mobility and stability training routine. TPI is great, but doing yoga is also wonderful. So many people can’t get their body into swing places because of mobility issues and also they get fatigued as the round progresses.
  7. I see everyone has this cool What’s in the Bag signature on their profile. How is this done?
  8. Yes I think it is even more important for the break 80 milestone. I usually shot 76-82 because of my inconsistency and still having some double/triple holes because of the driver. I have not broken par in years, but I feel like I am getting close. Do you have a low handicap buddy that could work with you on the course to get you below 80?
  9. I have been a competitive golfer for a long time. I have played Project X shafts for 5 years, but this year switched to the KBS shafts with Taylormade 750s. THE BEST IRON SHAFTS that I have ever hit. The new heads are amazing, but I have never felt an iron shaft kick and load like a wood. I love them. I was fitted for them though at Club Champions.
  10. Breaking 90 is awesome. Easy course or not you still have to strike the ball and make putts. For most golfers breaking 90 comes down to course management and playing to your misses. Most people always overlook things like short sided, hit to the middle not the pin, and where not to miss. A great way to get better at this is play with a bud that is a low handicapper and have him ask you what you are thinking on every shot. My best friend is a professional and I am about a 3. Many rounds he “bugs me” and says what are you thinking on this shot and it really goes a long way.
  11. Hello team. I have a early 90’s gunmetal blue Newport “art of putting” and a First Run Pro Platinum Midslant Newport. Does anyone know how to figure out what they are worth?
  12. My good friend is a Webb Tour player and he received the balls while they were in the prototype phase. He has been playing them a lot and really like them. He gave me a sleeve but I have not put them in play yet. I’ll let you know how they perform.
  13. For a lot of golfers a middle of the road ball is best like an NXT. If you are a hard swinging golfer with in consistent hits a ProV1 premium golf can actually spin more off of the club face and create a bigger slice/hook.
  14. I jumped on the Snells this year after playing the ProV1 since it first came out during my high school and college competitive days. The Snells are nice, but I don’t know if the the Black or X is the one for me yet. Still tweaking early season swings and don’t want to throw all of my new Snells into the woods.
  15. I have mine coming tomorrow! I randomly woke up and checked Costco.com and there it was. I bought the putter and the weight set. I hope it is awesome! I will let everyone know.
  16. 1. I have been playing golf since I was very young. I played junior gold, varsity, college. I haven’t had a handicap in a while. I am consistently a sub 80, but range from 76-82. 2. I love the chase, the outdoors, and the feeling a perfectly struck shot/perfect flight. 3. I followed spy on insta and have enjoyed all thing my golf spy. 4. Northern IL.. Stonewall Orchard in Grayslake, IL. 5. Winter sucks hard, but summer is wonderful. 6. I am a science teacher/administrator. 7. It’s just my name ha ha.
