  1. Hey guys! Thanks for all the sweet words and suggestions. I am soooo excited to get started and have been looking to buy some of these for my birthday coming up. So the fact I was chosen is the best early birthday present! I am currently working my way up through the mini tours trying to make it to the LPGA. Right now my swing speed is at about 103mph. I am a very consistent driver player and am really excited to see if I could gain even more distance off the tee, allowing me to really hit some short clubs into the pins. Feel free to keep up with my journey on here and instagram! @alisarodriguezgolf Thanks again to MGS and SuperSpeed for selecting me! Please let me know if any of you have any questions.
  2. I’m not sure about you guys but I am really missing being able to travel to some beautiful places to play golf. I’ve been seeing a lot of posts on Facebook(where I have a small amount of golfers) post pictures of their favorite something. How about we post our favorite courses we have been to over the years! Let’s see those pictures! Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course - Kailua, Hawaii
  3. Clicgear for sure! So much more sturdy. Compact 3 seemed too cheap. Have had my clicgear for over 3 years and still works like it is brand new. I play about 3-4 rounds a week as well.
  4. How you liking the pxg? Are they worth the money? What were you playing before
  5. Love the putter! Huge Scotty fan but this O-works putter does some magic!
  6. How you liking the sub zero 3 word? Just switched my driver to the sub zero, thinking about doing the same with the 3 wood
  7. 100% agree with this! If I don’t feel comfortable looking at it I do not want it in my bag. I could hit it further and straighter but not like the look.
  8. Driver: 10.5 playing at 9.5 Callaway Epic Sub Zero - OBAN Kiyoshi Black Shaft 3 Wood: 15 Degree Standard - Evenflow Green Stiff Shaft Hybrid: 20 Degree Callaway Apex 19 - True Temper Project X Catalyst Graphite Shaft Irons: 4-PW Apex Pro - Aerotech Steelfiber Shaft Wedges: 50, 54, 58 Vokey SM8 Putter: Scotty Cameron Special Select Fastback 1.5
  9. Have you looked at the flight scope mevo? I have heard great reviews and they have the option to pay monthly. I believe $500 total?
  10. Anyone in Austin looking to play a round? Besides Avery Ranch what other golf courses are still currently open?
  11. I love the Callaway apex pros. Really nice club. Could even look into getting the regular apex.
  12. I love being able to use a push cart. I feel like you stay more focused during your round walking vs riding in a cart. There are a lot of distractions in a cart and I feel like you’re quicker to play and make decisions without really taking everything of the shot into consideration.
  13. Hey guys I’m a new instructor just starting out. I want to get your everyone’s input on the best training aids to have and which ones you like and which ones you hate!
  14. We are currently golfing in Austin Texas! Some courses are only offering a small amount of people on the range. Some other courses no range at all. Most courses are doing raise cups and no flag sticks. I’m happy that they are still open. Nice to get out and walk for once!
  15. I would try both honesty and see what you’re more comfortable with. Worst thing is to have a club you aren’t fully comfortable with and try hitting under pressure. I’m a huge fan of the hybrid. Love using it around the green as well!
  16. Hey guys! My name is Alisa and I’m from Austin Texas! How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? I “played” golf here in there through my childhood. My dad and uncle would take me to the range from time to time I didn’t get seriously into golf until my freshman year of high school and I haven’t been able to put the clubs down since! I’m currently a scratch golfer trying to make it on the LPGA! What do you love about golf? I love everything about the game! The challenge of every shot. You don’t always have the same shot each time. It’s always different, always a surprise. The ability to be able to test my game each time I go out is so much fun. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? I have heard about it through friends who play and told me to follow on Instagram. Since then I love reading up on the posts and getting other Spies input on things. Where are you from? What is your home course? Born and raised in Austin Texas! My home course is Balcones Country Club where I teach as well. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? I love all the different courses in my region. Each course you play is different and allows you to work on different parts of your game. I just wish it didn’t get so hot in the summer! What do you do for a living? I’m lucky enough to be around golf 24/7. I teach and play for a living! How’d you pick your user name? I chose something super generic. I went with my first and last name with my favorite number 15! I grew up playing softball and it was my first love. I picked the number when I was 5 and wore it all the way though high school!
