Yeah I agree, golf is much more specific to each individual then it ever was. I'm fully about whatever works. I've tried my fair share of hybrid of many shapes and kinds. And as much as I feel I couldn't and wouldn't game one, I realize that it's the same for a person who prefers utility clubs over long irons.

well I had a pretty good session today! My very first 34yd chip was a flat out shank. After that all was good. I hit every green but 1 from 243-270 app. 8 shots. Missed most shots just left of the green if I did. Had a consistent draw going. So nothing like it will be on the course lol

You know what's funny about this thread? It used to be, 3 iron or hybrid. Now we're talking about 4 iron or hybrid. Funny how times change

I have never been fit for clubs. I usually buy from second hand stores and ebay online. I have noticed that with my latest set of irons that shafts do make a difference. I bought a set of app irons on ebay and put project x rifle 7.0 in thenm and it completely changed my ball flight. I used to always hit a 5 yard or more fade with stiff shaft kbs tour. Now I consistently hit a straight to slight draw with my irons. That might just be how my swing has changed but it was instantaneous when I hit the new shafts. Plus I went from Adam's cb3 with offset to Titleist ap2 so I'm assuming it's not the heads that's making the difference. I would say that fitting could be very beneficial to figure those things out, but I'm in an area in the world(the U.P.) that it would be 2 1/2 hour drive to get to a fitting place. Plus I would feel bad getting fit and not buying clubs from the place.

before you judge me thinking I paid allot for those irons. I bought them on ebay for$200! And my wife bought me those Seamus covers as a gift lol!

I hit 4 iron, with a lot of spin and pretty high. I hit hybrid really high and hook the poop out of it when I miss. Which is weird cause I'm a fader so I'm team 4 iron all the way

I play better when I walk, however I play more when I ride. I have 2 kids under 3 so I assume if I play much this year it'll be riding
