  1. Thanks, and have a Happy New Year...and lower scores, too!
  2. I have the same set up and use it to keep my golf muscles was getting sore between actual visits to the golf course to practice or play. I’m 71 going on 72 and keeping the muscles loose and the swing with some consistence helps. I’m not concern with distance on the mat practice, just ball flight and swing drills to maintain my game! ️
  3. You can even mark your spot with a beer can! Not suggesting it, but still legal!
  4. If they are not pro-LIV fans, but play music on the golf course…they are secretly, pro-LIV fans!
  5. On July 18, 2022, as high-profile golfers like Phil Mickelson were defecting to LIV for paydays worth hundreds of millions, Trump took to his social media platform to warn the players remaining with the PGA Tour. "All of those golfers that remain 'loyal' to the very disloyal PGA, in all of its different forms, will pay a big price when the inevitable MERGER with LIV comes, and you get nothing but a big 'thank you' from PGA officials who are making Millions of Dollars a year," Trump wroteon Truth Social. "If you don't take the money now, you will get nothing after the merger takes place, and only say how smart the original signees were." Nearly 11 months later, the merger was announced, catching many PGA players — who were not consulted ahead of time as a group — off guard. "No f****** way," one PGA player told ESPN when informed of the deal.
  6. It depends on my GIR for a round. My last round I hit 12 green, so I only had 2 opportunities near the green which called for my ChipR. The other 4 misses, I use a combo of GW, SW, & LW shots. If a round of less GIR’s gives me more opportunities with my ball on the fringe or further off the green, I’ll use a combination of ChipR or Texas Wedge (putter) shots. The ChipR is close to my 9i loft, 38 vs. 40, but its swing weight gives me more confidence in a better strike. The ChipR club grooves even puts some bite to the ball on occasion. I use my putter grip with the ChipR, too!
  7. I don't carry a 3-wood, but I do have a 5-wood. I have 14 clubs - Driver (10.5), 5W (18), 3H (20), 5H (24), 6i-9i, PW (45), GW (50), SW (54), LW (58), Putter (34”), ChipR. For me, the 5-wood is more versatile. I hit it off the tee box and I have more confidence hitting it from the fairway than a 3-wood. I’m 71+ and I don’t generate the club speed from my younger years!
  8. Playing my Ping ChipR...less air, more ground time. This past weekend, my second shot was from the right rough with a tree and low hanging branches between me and the green. The green was also protected by a bunker from my approach and I was too close to the tree to go over it, so I decided to just punch it out with a 7-iron to the front of the green. I ended up about 10 yards in front of the green with the pin on a top shelf. I took my Ping ChipR which I swing with my putter grip and ended up less than a foot from the hole...saved par! It was the only shot with my ChipR all day, but it was worth carrying.
  9. “No expectations and have fun” has resulted in my best rounds! ️
  10. I traded my 2021 PXG 0211 Driver & three fairway woods for Callaway clubs, but still play my PXG 0311-Gen3 irons (5i-GW). I got a Callaway Rogue ST Max 10.5 Driver & 5-wood and an 2021 Apex 4-Hybrid. Also, picked up a Titleist U-510 Driving Iron. I always get my newer clubs the following year or later to get them discounted…don’t like paying the full price for new clubs!
  11. The most important habit of losing and maintaining your weight…weighing yourself daily! Always weight yourself at the same time each day! By weighing yourself daily, it will prevent you from gradually gaining the weight back over time! Habits are important!
  12. I saw this training device offered by Eyeline which I currently use one of their putting mirrors. I noticed in the video the user was slowly tracing the laser point on a track on the floor, rather than swinging at a normal pace. What did this movement remind of? The Medicus 5-iron! This two laser pointer device sells for $124.95, but you can get a Medicus 5-iron (if you don’t already have one) from eBay for a fraction of the cost.
  13. I agreed with your statement about practicing with about not hitting the same iron over & over. Normally, I'll change up my clubs from odd to even on the the different days at the range, i.e. Driver, Utility, 5, 7, 9, GW or Driver, Fairway, 6, 8, W, SW. This leaves my LW & putter on the practice greens every day at the range. On the driving range, if I get 30 balls, then I hit 5 with club...60 balls, then I hit 10 with each club.
