How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? Started playing in 1998 and was pretty good out of the gate, shooting in the high 80s. Got to low 80s and a few 70s within a couple of years. At one point I got to 5.9 with a lousy but repeatable heavily lagged swing and a bit of athleticism. Right now I'm a 10.5 and determined to get into single digits. Pretty sure I can this season, but with coronavirus this season has not yet come for New England.
What do you love about golf? It occupies my very busy and over-analytical brain and it's a beautiful game that is played as much between the ears as with the increasingly inflexible body I have.
What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? I follow MyGolfSpy on Instagram and love the attitude and the work being done.
Where are you from? What is your home course? I live in Paxton, MA and play two courses regularly, Kettle Brook in Paxton and Wachusett Country Club in West Boylston. Both are very good courses and challenging as well.
What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Worst is the short season, about six months at best. Best is the beauty of the many fine courses, none of which is easy.
What do you do for a living? I sell construction equipment and manage other who do the same.
How’d you pick your user name? It's a nickname I once had that nobody but me seems to remember:-)
