  1. Cut line plus 3 Tiger Woods plus 7 does not make the cut
  2. I have several favorites- Michael Breed/Eric Congorno/Clay Ballard/Paul Wilson is fun, and of course Danny Maude!
  3. Golf Grievance- Golfers men and women that take 3-4 slow practice swings each time with full address and stance positioning only to dub it 10 yards and then repeat the process of 3-4 practice swings dub it,.... I CAN'T WATCH IT AND I CAN'T TAKE IT!!
  4. Along with the above suggested golf balls ,..I have pitched this here before (pun intended) please do some kind of a test of the MG Senior golf ball. Longer off the tee with driver or their phony advertising hype? Thank you
  5. Please test MG Senior Golf balls as they claim they are longer than anything out on the market. I see many posts here about this ball some pro and some conMG Senior golf balls. Let's see the actual data and say True or False!
  6. 1st Tie Breaker What is the Cut Number. -4 2nd Tie Breaker What will Jordan Spieth's score be after the 2nd round. -6 134
  7. Update from my 3-9-23 post in which Caddie Link is missing shots and also adding shots. Example as 3 wood was the most missed club, the 3 wood sensor is connected per the diagnostic test on Arccos caddie. The 3 wood did show the club was visible on the Arccos Link Diagnostics page. Then I hit the club on the ground per Arccos tutorial on diagnostics and the 3 wood did register a hit via caddie Link to my phone app. Played 9 today and 3 wood was missed on several holes. So with cold spring weather in Chicagoland (hoodies and windbreakers) I wore the Caddie Link on my front leg left cargo pants pocket below my waist/front left pants pocket outside on the lower part of the pocket, but that also did not get the Caddie Link to record all of my shots. My cell phone with IOS 16.4 is up to date and it picked up 100% of my drives when my phone was in my back pocket for many years just using the driver sensor that I had,... but the Caddie Link microphone technology is not better than that? Then I switched to placing it as the recommended front left pocket when I installed all of the sensors and still got mixed results like the Caddie Link. I am working with Arccos support team to help get their technology to work for me. So far Im thinking the Caddie Link was a waste of money as the cell phone is needed anyway to see distances. My thought was the Caddie Link $139 would solve 90% of their missed or added shots.
  8. Good points everyone above on ease of use and assisting on correct tee height. When I read the review results on Martini tee loss of distance I am worried about that as I don't hit it long enough to lose any distance off the driver. I wonder why that happens just from a cupped tee like Martini?
  9. Nov 23-2020 MGS review of Martini tee review loss of distance-https://mygolfspy.com/2020-golf-tee-test/MARTINI OBSERVATIONS: In this golf tee test, we found no evidence to support Martini’s distance claims. We found evidence to support a loss of distance. Data suggests a modest reduction in sidespin. However, it didn’t result in shots that were, on average, straighter than wood. OTHER NOTES: The Martini tee is the easiest to tee up, which does provide a benefit for golfers with limited range of motion or shaky hands. The Martini tee is phenomenally durable and its larger design and bright colors make it easy to find on the tee box. There is a legitimate reason why it’s popular with senior golfers.
  10. OK I have the new latest generation Arccos Caddie Link sensors installed and played three 9 hole rounds so far this winter and am using my iPhone 8plus to capture the data. I am missing shots (mostly drivers) and going back having to work through it all is a pain and inaccurate as to about where the ball landed. The phone does work well for distances to the pin. So the big question is IF I go buy the Arccos Caddie Link 2 Clip on unit, will it record my shots much better and more consistently than my iPhone in the front pocket? Reading through the forum posts here on this topic it looks like some said the Arccos Caddie Link Gen 2 records much better than the phone and some said the phone was same or better than the Caddie Clip Link. Thanks for your assistance.
  11. I went with Titleist TSI1 model. I have a slow swing speed and the Titleist fitter put me on a 10' with their ultra lite shaft. I did adjust it up to about 11' and I have gained 5-10 yards of carry with this driver. I did see a testing report from here on the MGS site that scored Titleist Stealth HD best for slow swings.
  12. I was so proud of my Hogan Directors irons with Equalizer wedge with the black Speed Slot woods mid-80’s after playing with knock offs when I first started to love golf. (Still have the set) We all know nothing is forever in the golf business so very sorry if they shut down.
  13. I did my own stretching routine prior to doing this 3x a week. Basic type flexibility stretches for legs/arms/shoulders/back. A long stretching program prior to exercise is another topic that is debated in the work-out circles as not being of value as much as it is assumed as the control groups without stretching and those that did stretching did not show any higher significant value or results but that is another topic. In my view the repetitive stress on muscles swinging at the max swing speed over a period of time leads to break down. Again individual results will vary. Thanks for your note. I went with SuperSpeed program from November until March 2 years ago. Had the radar and the whole program going. Did the program in my garage with all types of nasty cold weather outside. Went to play late winter golf and that swing it as hard as you can mode did not work at all as I was all over the place., almost whiffed a few! Took me about a month to get back to the fairway on a consistent basis. Plus everyone especially beware of a back injury from over-training in following their set protocols. I had a deep low back/pain radiating into my piriformis muscle (truly a pain in the ass) injury that required rx/physical therapy for a month to get relief from shooting pain and plus be able to get back to swing the club. Before everyone replies "moderation" that is not what they are advising in the protocols. So I suggest be careful,...sold my SuperSpeed sticks on eBay and will never go that SuperSpeed route ever again looking for more distance. There are way more swing enhancements/static set-up stance changes you can do ie the very proven hitting with an upward angle of attack to get that 20 yards or more on your drives.
