  1. I have gotten to try the Bridgestone RXS balls a few times in the past week. I played the ball twice in dry conditions and once when it was wet and drizzly. I like the feel of the ball off the club. The ball goes a comparable distance to the Callaway Chrome Soft. They were within of 10 yard of each other. The RXS was a little softer than the Chrome Soft. The control around the green is good. Most times it was 1 bounce and the ball stopped on the 2nd bounce. The putting of the ball is a little softer than what I’m used to. I had to hit the ball a little harder to get the ball to the hole. I really enjoyed playing the ball. It may be my new ball.
  2. I just got my golf balls yesterday in the mail. Looking forward to trying them out Tuesday when I play next. I got the RXS. I normally play Callaway Chrome Soft or Callaway Chrome Tour. I’m looking forward to seeing how they compare to other balls.
  3. I’ve had mine about 2 weeks. It is small than my bushnell v4. It is really light weight also. It’s just an accurate as my bushnell. I haven’t had any problems with the e slope. Remember it takes environmental factors in to the figuring the distance. So if it’s cold the distance is going to be more. I mainly bought it for the triangulation. I really like that feature. My golf buddies like that they don’t have to take several clubs with them. The side display is pretty much useless in sunlight. I wish there was an adjustment for that. You can tell what mode the rangefinder is in on the side display.

    New Driver

Thank you for the responses. I pretty much hit my driver pretty close to center. I have a little fade, but that has more to do with my swing. I just hate how much drivers cost. Thanks again, Bill

    New Driver

I’m thinking about getting a new driver. I have a Callaway Great Big Bertha Driver. It’s the relaunch of the Big Bertha driver line from 2013 I believe. I’m just wondering if I would get any more distance out of an new driver. I have a swing speed of 85 mph. I’m drives are between 200 and 225 yards. I’m open to any drivers really. I don’t have a club fitter near me. The closest is 45 minutes away.
  6. Thanks for replying. Im glad it isn’t the shaft. They club is about 4 years old. It doesn’t bother me. I just heard it when I pulled the club out of my bag. I will check when I regrip the club.
  7. I was playing golf today, and I pulled out my 5 hybrid for a shot. When I pulled it out of my bag, there was a rattle in the shaft. I have a graphite shaft in the hybrid. I was wondering what the sound could be. Did a weight come loose or is the shaft breaking. I’m pretty gentle with my clubs. I don’t beat them into the ground in anger.
  8. I like using my 52 degree wedge. I can can either hit it low or open it up and hit it high. Most times I have good control with it. My dad always tried to tell me you use a 7 or 8 iron, but I just couldn’t control those as well.
  9. I’ve been watching Peyton’s Places today. Peyton has a dry sense of humor that I like.
