  1. Good thoughts! New shafts might be a good option. Will probably check-in with a local pro/fitter before making any decisions. Thanks!
  2. Thanks for your thoughts! All good points. Will keep it in mind as I decide next steps. Thanks again!
  3. So, I just turned 50. I've had my Titleist AP2s for 11 yrs. I don't have the chance to play as much these days, but honestly have found more enjoyment in the game over the last couple of yrs. I'm not hitting my irons quite as consistently and quite frankly feel like my swing has slowed a bit. I've been thinking the Dynamic Gold Stiff shafts may be a bit much and have mulled the idea of getting fitted. So my question(s): Is in-person fitting really worth it? Or is online fitting a really viable option for new club investment? Currently I've tried the online fitting tools that Ben Hogan and Ping offer. Would really appreciate feedback and hearing of other's experiences.
  4. Hello Southeast—glad to be here. Robert B. based in WS-NC. How long have you been playing golf? A long damn time. Seriously though, since I was about 8, so 40+ yrs. What’s your handicap or normal score? Up and down over the years, playing a 10-12 right now. What do you love about golf? Being on the course and in nature. Thinking through the shots. Camaraderie—really enjoying being on the course with friends, old and new. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Sharing about golf. Connecting with others that love the game. Do you already know any other Spies? Nope. Where are you from? Winston Salem, NC What is your home course? Don't have a single home course. Play a lot of the public courses in the area. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Best things—a lot of challenging, beautifully designed courses. Just a couple of hours from The Home of American Golf. Hot, humid summer days in July and August. What do you do for a living? Currently work as a designer and marcom strategist—will always be a designer at heart. Also currently completing my Masters Degree in Classical Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture and Chinese Body Work). Hope to be of service to others, helping them live their best, healthy lives. How’d you pick your user name? I really have come to enjoy the walk and being in nature—that has become the most important thing about my golf experiences. And hey, who doesn't want to grab a few birdies here and there.
