  1. Yes, that’s exactly what I was thinking. Plan on gapping all of my clubs and bending or adjusting where necessary and maybe even having a little fun with the sim! Thanks @GolfSpy_APH
  2. Thanks so much for all the replies. Took a little while to get the room finished out, and we just finished building the frame last night. Components and updating to start today!!
  3. Hello Spies! I have recently purchased a GCQuad unit and am fascinated by all of the data (and the ability to play golf at 9pm!). As I dig deeper into these numbers, I was hoping someone could point me towards good resources for understanding each metric/what is optimal and which I should concentrate on and maybe some ways to train to achieve more optimal shots. Thanks so much!
  4. TM SPIES! I need some pics of the different setups yall have gone with when ordering the mystealth plus drivers! I got fit and am going to order one but cant tell that much of a difference between some of the options on their website. Please post some pics of your clubs if yall have gone through this process! Thanks!
  5. Thanks for all the replies. Ended up using the golfshaftreviews which led me to the hzrdus smoke black in a 70/6.5 shaft and havent looked back since. Just got fitted for a new stealth and bringing that baby with me!
  6. Does anyone know of a website or company that objectively ranks the stiffness/torque of shafts independent of the designation from the manufacturer? I was given an Aldila Rouge Silver 110 70X and it does not match up to expectations- I can power through it all day long and would seem to fall somewhere between S and X. I want to go and actually get fit for a shaft but that’s increasingly difficult during the pandemic we have, and anywhere I can go to begin to narrow things down would awesome for me to read. Thanks!
  7. Several replies mentioning Tobacco Road- it’s fantastic. Little further away but on that Stranz line is Tot Hill, one of my favorites. As far as Raleigh area, I really like all of the university courses, though they can get expensive. On the more affordable side and still good side are courses like the Neuse, River Ridge, Lochmere, and Heritage. Shoot me a message if you’re looking for a game, always looking for new people to play with!
  8. Hello MGSpies! Long time reader, first time poster. How long have you been playing golf? I began playing some in high school and played sparsely the next ~15 years. I picked the game back up seriously about 4 years ago and haven’t looked back! They say the first step is admitting you have a problem.. well, I’m an addict. What’s your handicap or normal score? My handicap Index had hovered around 15 for years but has come down to 10 in recent years. What do you love about golf? The constant challenge. You are never in the exact same situation twice, even if you play at the same club for years and it’s always fun to find the solutions to all of the challenges the game will throw at you, or at least to go down in the attempt. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? As I continue to improve, I search for content to help me on that journey. MGS has provided that in myriad forms and I have enjoyed the site and UNBIASED content very much. Do you already know any other Spies? I know several readers, but not sure they have registered on the forums. Where are you from? Raleigh, NC What is your home course? Treyburn CC What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? There’s really not much to complain about golf in our area, we have decent weather and a plethora of courses within an hours drive. What do you do for a living? Territory Manager for a medical device firm. How’d you pick your user name? The username I always use.
