I didn’t try the lobster roll, but I had the steak sandwich from the Ruth Chris tent, that was pretty decent. Unfortunately not much of a drinker so I honestly didn’t even notice the beer prices. Could only spend a few hours there this morning so I camped out on the 5th hole, honestly it’s amazing the accuracy these guys have off the tee. That opening in front of the green is shockingly tight in person. Some of those “wild” misses described on the telecast are like 10-15 yards off the fairway. If that’s wild those announcers shouldn’t see the guys I play with..

I was out there today for most of the day, the conditions were brutal after 12/1:00. Wind was really swirling in different directions and the temperature dropped. Something interesting I saw was first thing in the morning the staff were rolling parts of the fairways around the greens and using huge rakes to fluff up the rough

Oh I definitely will be taking tons of them. Being from this area TCC is my personal ultimate bucket course, the U.S. Amateur there in 2013 was a lot of fun. Side note if you get a chance to go to a U.S. Amateur please do it, generally there are no ropes, a lot of access on some pretty exclusive courses.

I’ll be there Saturday and Sunday, curious to see the course conditions. I hope the rumor on the rough is true, I’d like to see a Merion style open again. We haven’t had a lot of rain the last few weeks in Eastern Mass, and the forecast this weeks looks pretty dry. My home course is usually a swamp this time of the year and its bone dry.

Overall I really enjoy it, been a member there for 7 years. They have a very active member base and I like the layout a lot. I’m a shorter hitter so I find it pretty challenging but for the longer hitters it will probably play on the easier side.
