  1. After nearly 2 months (1/5/24), I was able to play a round of golf on Thursday (2/29/24). My schedule and the weather have not been kind to my golf game. Anyway, I knew it would be ugly, and tried to keep that in mind. So, yes, my game was not optimal. However it was not as bad as I feared it would be. My driving was the worst part on that day, but my short game saved the day from a complete disaster. Honestly I was just so happy to be on the course, I hardly cussed at all..... LOL
  2. Typically I will have water and Gatorade Zero
  3. I play badly enough when I don't drink, so for me, no booze on the course
  4. Congratulations Testers! Looking forward to reading your reviews.
  5. Congratulations testers! I am looking forward to reading your reviews.
  6. It will have to be really great to out perform the Apple watch
  7. Has anyone purchased the Link Pro yet?
  8. The new badges look great! Thank you.
  9. Today I received 3 identical emails from Arccos about their 'new' Arccos Link Pro. I am supposing they were thinking I might just ignore emails 1 and 2..... Anyway, I do not think I will be in too much a hurry to shell out $225 for the new link considering how how dismal version one was, personal experience, and the feedback I have heard about version 2. I am sure there will be those the order it right away, so I will wait to hear their feedback before I make any decision.
  10. My most recent round of golf was last Friday, and it was horrendous! I simply could not hit a ball on that day. From Driver to Wedges, I totally sucked. When I woke the next morning, my right shoulder and left wrist, were is terrible pain. I am not sure if my crappy play caused this pain, or if there was an underlying issue in my write and shoulder that caused the crappy play, and became worse after the round. OR, it could be I just suck! LOL. Anyway on the 18th green, I was completely demoralized and wondered why I waste so much time, effort and money on this stupid game.... I sink a 30 foot putt. WFT???? LOL Even a broken clock is right twice a day..........
  11. Good morning from the frozen South, also known as Virginia. It is currently 10 degrees fahrenheit, with an anticipated high of 40 degrees later this afternoon. I am going to play what will likely be my last round for a week or so as we are expecting a lot of snow tomorrow, and I am not one that enjoys playing in the snow! I do really dislike snow LOL
  12. For myself, I would like what I have wanted every year: to play better then the previous year. To achieve that I believe I need: Longer drives. I did increase my drives with a change in ball, and my new driver seems to have helped, but I have only played on round with it s far. Significantly better wedge play. Wedges have always been my weak area. Find a club that hits between my driver and 5 wood. I just could not hit my 3 wood, so I sold it. Oh, if I could achieve a handicap under 10, I wouldn't complain. In the past I have come close, but it has so far eluded me.
  13. I ended up with a Titleist TSr1 with a Mitsubishi Speedmesh 40/r shaft. I have to admit this is not what I would have chosen if I did not have a fitting. It feels nearly effortless to me on the swing, and since the back nine of my game a couple of days ago, my average distance has increased. Since then I have replaced the grip to what I normally use, so am looking forward to see how next time will go.
  14. Yesterday I played a round of golf with the new Driver my wife gave me. For Christmas she gave me a new driver with fitting. Anyway it was a pretty good round of golf. On the front nine I did struggle with my new driver. However on the back nine, I started hitting it very well; right where I was aiming and with greater distance. I feel confident that I will continue to improve as I get to 'know' this driver more. In the past I was fitted for my irons, and noticed an improvement from them. Now with the early results with my driver, I am fully committed to getting fit for my clubs. In future I will get fit for my putter, my wedges, and my fairway woods/hybrids.
  15. I have. Recently I received a gift of a pair of these shoes. For me, they fit well, and are comfortable.
  16. I am not sure if this is the place to post this, but here goes..... For Christmas my wife gave me a new wallet; I really like it. While exploring it, looking at all the places to put things, I find a small, hand written note from her: "One new Driver with Fitting"! Wooohoooooo
  17. From experience I would suggest a net that is fast and easy to setup. Several years ago I bought a net, but after a while stopped using it because the setup and take down just took too long.
  18. On the chopping block.....Driver, definitely Driver; it hates me. Safe....my 5 wood.
  19. I agree with Unvcross. All the reviews seem positive, but I will no longer purchase clubs without testing them first
  20. Congratulations Testers! I am looking forward with much anticipation to reading your reviews.
