  1. Dave in Colorado YES Natalie and Grace Blade Tour or Pro Xdream or Classic Miss short
  2. Al Czervik phoned to say he'll take two of them.
  3. I play to a 18 HCI, and use Enzo Nanopipe (X) shafts in my 304 SS irons. I've played DG (X) in steel in the past and have tried the KBS tour shaft on a high-lofted wedge. I've been wanting to try out some quality steel iron shafts in a weight and flex that is close to my current graphite shafts. These might be just the ticket.
  4. Is guessing a MGS tour staff bag available in the store setting the bar too low?
  5. Hireko needs to jump on this right now. Get some of those Hump X shafts into the public's hands and watch their market share grow.
  6. I received my Scratch 56* 1018 wedge on Saturday (thanks FedEx!) and I gripped it within ten minutes of delivery (I asked Ari to supply the club without a grip so I could put on my favorite). My tour championship was the following day. I took the club with me against the advice of my peers and advisors, all of them suggesting I use the sticks that got me to the finals. I had only intended to try the wedge on the range during warm-up out of curiosity, and then use it for post-season play. On the range, it took me only three swings to get the feel of the club on full shots. I still was not convinced this was a gamer until I went to practice my chipping. This club revealed itself as a dart-thrower. Chips and pitches were checking up in about 3 feet, allowing me to throw the ball at the pin. So... I decided to gamble and put this club into play while parking my 55* X-22 in the car. Long story short, it was well worth the risk. I favored this club on shots I usually use my 60* for, as well using it for sand and chip shots. Anything from 105 yards in was all good. The only club used more that day was my putter. Specs: 56* loft/68* lie, SND grind; Aldila NVS 105 shaft, playing length 40.5", SW F5 Appearance Absolutely beautiful. The best finish I have seen on any iron or wedge. It is the best feeling, best looking, and most confidence-inspiring club in my bag. Feel I evaluated a Callaway X22 55* side by side with this wedge and there is no comparison. Perhaps it is unfair to compare the forged Scratch to the cast Callaway, but there it is. The Scratch felt like butter. Value I would not consider buying anything else. At only $20 more than a cast wedge, e.g.: CG15, it is a steal. Service Outstanding. Ari and his crew went out of their way to supply this player with a wedge that went beyond standard. Thanks to Ari and MGS for giving me this opportunity. Ari, you have gained another customer and future Scratch iron player.
  7. Mystery solved. I recently purchased a Str8-fit adapter to try another shaft in the Dymo2 head. There is no coning where the shaft enters the adapter, it is a 90* angle, thus there will be no epoxy to cushion the shaft. Sure formula for early shaft failure.
  8. Droid X for me and Droid for my wife on the Verizon net. Running Skydroid app which I will be reviewing here after playing one more round and comparing it side-by-side with my dedicated GPS, a Sonocaddie V300.
  9. Anyone know which wedge Scratch is supplying, the 1018 or the 8620? If the latter, it may be September before any are available as the 8620 won Gold on Golf Digest's 2010 Hot List for wedges, beating CG, Vokey and TM in price/performance, and demand is high. Edit: I see from a post above that they are allowing a fully customized 1018! How sweet is that?
  10. Hey lefties: The ad is still up for the left-handed version: http://www.amazon.com/Lh-taylor-made-kbs-stl/dp/B003MST5H6 Edit: never mind, looks like a single club.
  11. Carl's Golfland? Is that really under the same umbrella as TGW?
  12. I've now heard from two Dymo/Dymo2 str8 owners that their shafts sheared off at the top of the str8-fit adapter. One had his driver replaced, one got a refund. Has anyone else has had this experience or heard of other problems with the early str8 drivers?
  13. Bridgestone e6 Gamer V2 Srixon AD333 All great balls in the sub $25 range.
  14. Great news. I too have been wanting to try a Scratch wedge in 56*
  15. Heavy, pricey and fugly. What's not to like?
  16. I have a Str8-fit. Not for the adjust-ability, but for the default 61* lie from the factory. I have used the adjustment only once; then promptly put it back to stock settings. The ability to easily swap shafts I find very useful, however. I keep several adapters on hand, just in case I want to try out something new.
  17. I'm waiting for their venture into bass-fishing lures: Master-Baits.
