Bigdog1956's Achievements

  1. Golfer/surgical nurse with recent C5-6 spinal fusion (4 months ago). PATIENCE is the underlying principal. As I rehab, I gradually started with putting and light chipping. Ask you doctor/physical therapist before going off and causing permanent damage. I worked through 4 months and back to driving 250-300 yds but was grateful I had to slow down as it forced me to work my PW-50, 54, 60 degree and putter. This, as recommended by my surgeon ( a golfer) made my game sharper/better. DO NOT get in a rush, you have years of fun ahead if you will be clam, follow MD directions. Ask the MD about consult with Physical Therapist or other expert. Good luck!
  2. I am a novice who purchased “seconds” and found I was adapting to the clubs-they weren’t working for me! I took lessons, spoke with my instructor, then met with an excellent fitter who considered my age and $ limits. I did not want to spend more than $5-700 on a good set of irons. I ended up with a pristine set of “Fourteens, T-33 irons (4-pw) for $400. The clubs are from Japan and were purchased at 2nd Swing, Scottsdale, AZ after fitting. The benfit was immediately evident as my 4-iron misfit ping was 150-170 yds; T-33’s 200-230 yards. I am 64 and loving the game because of having the correct clubs. I think the expense is well worth the time and will give you years of enjoyment having the right clubs A.J.
