  1. This is a press release from adidas golf regarding it's 2019 adicross line. CARLSBAD, Calif. (November 28, 2018) – For golfers, the game never stops. adidas is continuing to push the boundaries with adicross, the urban-inspired, non-traditional line that’s meant for golfers both on and off the course. Today, adidas unveiled the 2019 adicross line, highlighted by Primeknit material and new footwear specifically designed for wear-anywhere versatility. The new apparel will be available December 1, 2018 and footwear beginning February 1, 2019. The spring/summer 2019 adicross apparel line differentiates itself by featuring select articles with adidas’ Primeknit material, a first in the game. Because of its seamless construction, the material wears flatter to the skin, features a lot of stretch, and has a look of a woven garment without losing its shape. These pieces are cool to the body, feature moisture-wicking fabric and will form for individual fit. Key articles include the adicross Primeknit Polo ($110), adicross Primeknit Sweatshirt ($200) and adicross Primeknit Anorak Hoodie ($180). Other new additions to the adicross spring/summer 2019 line include: adicross Piqué Polo ($80) Wider at the body with a straight silhouette Shaped hem, soft feel Unique golf print No-show Transition Henley Shirt ($70) Three-button Henley collar Short sleeves No-show technology stops appearance of sweat before it gets to the surface adicross Hybrid Shorts ($85) Stretchy fabric Front pockets, one back pocket Drawcord-adjustable elastic waist with zip fly adicross favorites like the No-Show Transition Polo ($75), Henley Long sleeve ($80), Anorak Jacket ($120), Graphic and Big Logo Tees ($40), Five-Pocket Pants ($90) and shorts ($75), Flat bill hat ($30), and Oxford Shirt ($90), which now features mesh ribbed cuffs, will round out the apparel line. Continuing to shake up the traditions of the game, the adicross line will also introduce new footwear: the adicross PPF and the Crossknit 3.0. The latter is the latest rendition of the popular Crossknit franchise that was first introduced in 2016. Built on the same last as adidas’ Ultraboost running shoe, this version will feature a lace closure with reflective laces and internal lace loops, a lightweight water-repellant heathered textile upper and the spikeless Puremotion outsole. The Crossknit 3.0 ($150) available in three colorways (grey, blue, and black with green outsole) is designed for comfort utilizing BOOST™ cushioning without sacrificing traction, favored by players who are looking for something both comfortable and untraditional. The adicross PPF ($90) is new to the adicross line, giving golfers another non-traditional spikeless footwear option for the course. The sneaker-like upper features leather, microfiber and textile materials to provide a breathable feel that’s also water-repellant. The Puremotion outsole features 169 strategically placed lugs for optimal traction and flexible Bounce midsole cushioning giving wearers a springy feel for wear-anywhere comfort. Both the Crossknit 3.0 and adicross PPF will be available online at adidas.com and at select retailers worldwide beginning Feb. 1, 2019. The entire adicross apparel line will be available online at adidas.com and at select retailers worldwide beginning Dec. 1. Here are just a few images. 2. It appears dumping Taylormade was just what the doctor ordered for adidas. They're growing and taking a BIG chunk out of key competitors Nike and Under Armour in North America...
  3. I have been on this forum for quite some time and posted on the introduction forum a while back but took a long break. I am now looking to get more involved and learn more about the game of golf. I just pasted my bio from my page as an intro below. I take some decent golf and sports photos on my Instagram if you would like to follow (posted a link to one below) username: cragghianti "I am a new member of the game of golf, just started playing a little over a year ago but have progressed really nicely. When I started, I couldn't hit a ball to save my life but I am proud to say I am an 18 handicap today and working hard to improve each week. I am currently using the Nike Vapor Fly Pro irons, the Nike Vapor Flex 440 Driver (getting used to this one) and the Nike Origin Putter. I work for adidas in Oregon so I have been on the lookout for a different set but its hard to beat these for the tech and price! I am fortunate enough to be able to play the beautiful Oregon Golf Club and the prestigious Waverley Country Club here in Oregon pretty often and let me tell you, those two courses really challenge you. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or are in this area!" Thanks for taking a look! http://imgur.com/a/oF54L

  6. Got to attend the launch event last night --- here's the press release. I'll have more details later today. Not sure about a $200 golf shoe - but adidas has been successful in that price range... adidas Golf Celebrates 10 Years of TOUR360 Franchise with New TOUR360 BOOST Footwear Re-Engineered 360WRAP, Full-Length BOOST™ Cushioning Technology Headlines adidas Golf's TOUR360 BOOST Footwear Carlsbad, Calif. (December 11, 2015) – adidas Golf, an industry leader in innovation, technology and performance footwear, announced today the release of the new TOUR360 BOOST, the next generation in the popular TOUR360 franchise. Building on 10 years of innovation, TOUR360 BOOST incorporates the latest footwear technologies, including full-length BOOST™ cushioning, an improved 360WRAP, and a dual-density 10-cleat puremotion® TPU outsole to deliver the next advancement in this iconic, game-changing franchise. First introduced in 2005, the original TOUR360 revolutionized golf footwear with never before seen performance and style. Named after its iconic 360WRAP, a midfoot support system that entirely surrounds the foot for exceptional stability, TOUR360 footwear has recorded 38 PGA TOUR victories and since its inception has sold millions of pairs of various models from the franchise around the world. TOUR360 BOOST is the next iteration in delivering the latest in comfort and performance innovation that golfers have come to expect from the TOUR360 franchise. “TOUR360 broke ground when it hit the market in 2005,” said Masun Denison, Director of Footwear at adidas Golf. “Our challenge in creating the next generation was living up to the TOUR360 name. We took everything we've learned in the last 10 years including visual cues from prior models while utilizing materials and construction innovation to take the TOUR360 BOOST to the next level. It's a culmination of years of technology, testing, insights and athlete feedback.” TOUR360 BOOST features full-length BOOST™ cushioning in the forefoot and heel for maximum comfort and a re-engineered, lighter and more flexible 360WRAP saddle to allow for greater adjustability and adaptability. For the first time, the 360WRAP combines with a full-length outsole, made possible by a new TORSION TUNNEL technology that provides independent flexibility and control between the heel and the forefoot with the added benefit of enhanced arch support and traction. An advanced dual-density 10-cleat outsole features a harder perimeter TPU to house strategically-placed CenTraXion and thintech® cleats and enhance lateral stability; while a softer thinner interior TPU allows for BOOST™ expansion and unparalleled comfort. The new heel shape, inspired by adidas training and running categories, features an s-curve which follows and adapts to the natural contour of the foot for improved fit, while etc lining material reduces friction, moisture and heat – delivering the optimal shoe climate for maximum comfort. Built on a Tour Performance Last for improved fit and comfort in the forefoot, the upper is made of premium leather and features climaproof® technology for a rich look, a soft and comfortable feel, and lasting protection and durability. “I've always been a fan of the TOUR360 footwear,” said Dustin Johnson, PGA TOUR professional, adidas Golf brand ambassador and #8 in the current Official World Golf Ranking. “I have great memories wearing them during key wins throughout my career, and I can't wait to get them back on my feet and wear the TOUR360 BOOST next season.” In February, the TOUR360 BOA BOOST will become available and will feature our most advanced use of a BOA® Closure System, an incremental pull and push structure located on the top center tongue. The BOA®–integrated 360LOOP connected to the 360WRAP enables fast and easy micro-adjustability for a customizable and comfortable fit. Available January 8, 2016, the TOUR360 BOOST will be offered in six colorways and in medium or wide widths in the US at an MSRP of $200USD. TOUR360 BOA BOOST, will be available February 1, 2016 in two coloways at an MSRP of $230USD. 11. I was reading an ad last night for the new Callaway Xfer Pro golf shoe. I haven't really paid too much attention lately to golf shoes. I own a few pair of golf shoes that I switch around on occasion. Man, you wouldn't believe all the technology that goes into making a pair of top of the line golf shoes. Let me (and Callaway, Adidas, and FJ) show you what I mean. Callaway says - Designed to provide the ultimate in power Xfer, it is loaded with Xfer technologies. Xfer means transfer in cool speak. See? Callaway claims their new Xfer shoe is "loaded" with technology and possess Power! Did you know for example that the Xfer has… A minimized toe to heel height lowers the foot's center of gravity. Ahh yes. I like being closer to the ground. Even by a 1/16". An adjustable X Cage structure is built into the upper and hugs the foot to enable synchronized power movement in tandem with the outsole. There's that word again. Power. Wear these shoes and you'll have more Power. I'd assume they mean I'll hit the ball further too. And all in perfect rhythm. My feet need to be X caged. The integrated Superfeet™ Pro insole improves alignment, balance and body position for a more fluid power Xfer. Awesome. Now instead of hoofing around like some amateur slug it I'll be carried around the course on Superfeet. And not just any old Superfeet but Pro Superfeet. And all my lousy swing moves will vanish and I'll start swinging like Erine Ells. … with Power. Fluid Power. As an added bonus for any of you granola heads Superfeet are vegan and free of latex, nickel sulfate, formaldehyde and preservatives. It's good to know my feet won't rot off during my next round. I suppose if I should get hungry and eat a Superfeet insole at the turn I'm least eating healthy. Xfer Dynamic Traction Technology combining built-in tractional elements with strategically placed Pro Flex PINS performance spikes to deliver optimum traction in any condition. Dynamic Traction Technology? Huh? Dynamic implies movement. When I swing I want grip… more static. I guess it's more controlled slippage they're after here. Additionally, these shoes have Pro Flex Pins spikes. I mean, who doesn't want spikes like the pros use? And these have them. The Xfer Power Wall prevents lateral side foot slippage during your swing, while absorbing and releasing energy through the load and unload of your swing. Here it is again. Power. But this time it's in the Power Wall. None of my shoes have a Power Wall. I must be a chump and losing distance. Secondary set of fashion laces in complementing color included. Lastly, if all this new found Power doesn't do it for you Callaway is throwing in a second set of "Fashion" shoe laces. Somehow I feel these laces contain most of the power. Don't you? Callaway isn't alone in awesome shoe technology. Not by a long shot. Adidas has "revolutionary" Boost cushioning technology. The shoe also has "AdiPower Boost". More shoe – more Power! The Adidas AdiPower Boost shoe will also keep you on swing plane due to additional Gripmore Technology. It's easy. Get new shoes and fix your swing. Lastly we have Footjoy with the D.N.A shoes. These shoes have more advancement packed into them than ever before. FootJoy couldn't do it last year. But, this year is different. These shoes have Micro-vents, 3-D foam collar, fine-tuned foam, Nitro-thin outsoles, Stealth cleats, snug-fit tongue, and ChromoSkin. Whew. I don't know if I'm ready for all that at once. Sadly, no Power from FJ. In summary it seems that if you don't start wearing one of these new shoes you're losing distance and your swing will remain sucky like a broken tree limb. According to these companies these are the best shoes ever. Ever! They will not be able to beat them. Everything these companies know is packed into these shoes. It can't get any better. Until next year.
