  6. POWERED BY M5 DRIVER & '19 TP5 GOLF BALL, RORY MCILROY CAPTURES THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE WITH FULL BAG OF TAYLORMADE PRODUCT McIlroy's 15th career PGA TOUR victory is the 3rd win on Tour for TaylorMade’s New M5 & M6 Drivers featuring the company’s ground-breaking Injected Twist Face technology; also second win in three weeks for new Spider X putter WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: As he has since the Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Rory has continued to play a 9° M5 Driver, of which he's found remarkable success this season. At TPC Sawgrass, Rory averaged 305 yards off the tee for the tournament - good for fifth in the field. In addition to the M5 driver, McIlroy also games a 19° M5 titanium fairway, which he put into play the same week he added the M5 driver to the bag - in Kapalua. Rory's first PGA TOUR win of the season is the 4th win for the new 2019 TP5/x golf ball - joining Johnson (x2) and Fowler as staffers who've won playing it. Rory's preferred golf ball is the is the '19 TP5, stamped #22. Working diligently to find his putting stroke heading into the season's first major championship, McIlroy added the new Spider X putter to his equipment arsenal this season and the results have been impressive. This week, he carded 21 birdies or better en route to victory. His win is the second on the PGA TOUR with the company's newest putter; joining the winner of the Honda Classic. Having played the Milled Grind Wedges since first joining Team TaylorMade, Rory's setup has remained fairly consistent throughout the year This week, he opted for the Milled Grind Raw in 48°, complementing it with 54° & 60° Milled Grind Hi-Toe wedges. With the win, McIlroy will elevate to #4 in the OWGR and is set to be a #1 seed at the WGC-Dell Match Play next week. Additional Statistics of Note: Ranked first in strokes gained: total (13.924) Ranked first in strokes gained: tee to green (3.316) Ranked second in strokes gained: off the tee (5.309) Ranked T3 in greens in regulation (58/72 - 80.56%) Ranked fifth in driving distance (305 yards) M5 Driver | 9° M5 Fairway | 19° P790 2-iron P750 irons | (3-4) P730 irons | (5-9) Milled Grind Wedge | 48° MG Hi-Toe Wedges | 54°& 60° Spider X Putter 2019 TP5 Golf Ball | #22

  8. POWERED BY M5 DRIVER & '19 TP5X GOLF BALL, DUSTIN JOHNSON CAPTURES WGC-MEXICO CHAMPIONSHIP Johnson's 21st career victory is the second global win for TaylorMade’s New M5 & M6 Drivers featuring the company’s ground-breaking Injected Twist Face technology; joins stablemate Tiger Woods as only players to win same WGC event three times. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: After gaming the M6 driver en route to victory at the Saudi International last month, Johnson made the switch into a 10.5° M5 driver after seeing more ball speed and less spin in recent testing sessions. Per usual, he has it equipped with his favorite Fujikura Speeder Evolution 661 X Tour Spec 2.0 shaft. In addition to the M5 driver, DJ also recently added a 15° M5 fairway to his bag, armed with Project X's HZRDUS Black X shaft; the same shaft he carried in his fairway(s) last season. Dustin’s second victory of the season is the third win for the new 2019 TP5/x golf ball (Johnson & Fowler); DJ’s preferred golf ball is the '19 TP5x, stamped #1. Like last season, DJ continues to play the P730 DJ Proto irons in 4-PW. As he has for most of his recent career, DJ has them equipped with True Temper's Dynamic Gold X100 shafts. A major proponent of the MG wedges, Dustin opted for 52° & 60° lofts this week in addition to a 64° Hi-Toe. As usual, he has them equipped with his trusted KBS Tour 120S shafts. Johnson has found remarkable success with the Spider Tour over the last few years, using it to escalate him to #1 in the World. With his win in Mexico, he is expected to elevate to #2 in the OWGR and has the potential to once again claim the #1 position the following week. With the victory, Johnson continues his remarkable streak of winning at least one PGA TOUR event to 12 consecutive seasons, the longest active streak on Tour. 11. I have three (3) driver shafts up for grabs. All are standard length (one was lengthened to standard), TaylorMade adapters, and Golf Pride MCC +4 grips in great shape. All prices include shipping to the continental US. Can discuss prices if you are elsewhere. I will entertain all serious offers and I can supply more photos on request. PM me with any questions, concerns, offers! Fujikura Motore Speeder VC 6.3 Tour Spec X-Flex - $110 $90 Used maybe 2 rounds. Got it from a friend, didn't like the feel. Aldila Rogue Silver MSI 110 70-3.1 S-Flex - $100 $75 Used approx. 15 rounds by me. Came with a used driver I bought. This has been lengthened by approx. 3/4" Fujikura Pro 60 S-Flex - $75 SOLD I only used this on the range. Another pick up from a friend, launches a bit too high for my liking.
  12. For Sale: Taylormade P790s 4-PW, X100s (straight in, not tipped). MSRP: $1214.50 Sale Price: $799.99 (plus shipping cost) Order Details: Lie Angle: 2.5° flat Length: 1/4" short of standard Loft: Ordered these 2 degrees weak in Loft (didn't like the super strong lofts as these irons are already plenty long!) 4 Iron: 23 5 Iron: 25.5 6 Iron: 28.5 7 Iron: 32.5 8 Iron: 37 9 Iron: 42 PW: 47 (adjusted to 46°) I ordered these directly from Taylormade and have a copy of the order receipt. Condition: 9.9 out of 10 I played 3 rounds with these irons and took them to the range once. Irons are in great shape and the only irons I hit at the range were the 6, 7, and PW a few times (see pictures). I currently have AP2s and Callaway Apex Pros, and these were much easier to hit. They are incredibly forgiving for a players iron, and have a great shape. I'm looking to sell these because I don't need the extra distance and I have 3 sets of irons currently . The awesome thing about these irons is not losing hardly any distance with mishits, they are very easy to hit. Contact me via text: 715-225-8048 Payment: PayPal Only
  13. Such an exciting time of year, more than a handful of irons hitting or about to hit the market. Which one(s) have you reaching for your wallet? Me? it's a tough one, but I'd have to say the Srixon 585/785, closely followed by the PING 210. But I certainly wouldn't pass up a chance to try the new JPX Forged or Hot Metals
  14. Excellent condition TaylorMade 2017 M2 Tour 15 Degree 3 Wood head only. I purchased this and played it for a while but later found a 16.5HL that fitted my trajectory better so I'm letting this go. As you can see from the pictures it's in great shape and has no pop up marks or scratches on the crown. Face has normal use and sole is in great shape. Comes with a headcover but it's from the 2017 M1 fairway wood. Headcover is clean but faded from the sun. SOLD

  17. Been gaming the Taylormade TP5X ball for about 2 months now and am really liking it a lot. Long off the tee with a good solid feel. Doesn't feel too hard and performs well. Had been playing the 2016 ProV1x prior. We all know they feel great and green side control is amazing. Better than the Tp5x. I wonder if the TP5 performs better on the greens. Here's a look at the cores and inner layers of the two side by side. Pretty interesting.
  18. It appears dumping Taylormade was just what the doctor ordered for adidas. They're growing and taking a BIG chunk out of key competitors Nike and Under Armour in North America...
  19. I have a Taylormade RSI1 7 iron that I'm trying to remove a steel shaft from the head. I bought this online from Dallas Golf and I'm going to be putting a new Recoil SMACWRAP shaft in it. I've tried every way I can think of to remove this head. Multiple passes with a heat gun and using my shaft extractor with no luck. It will not budge. I did all the rest of my irons with no issue. My question is there certain epoxy that is harder to remove and requires something more than a heat gun? Would a torch work better? I'm really not worried about saving the current shaft, but I do not want to do anything to the club head.
  20. Hi guys, I'm looking for some advise. I currently have a set of TaylorMade Speedblades, stiff shaft and my swing speed is between 85 - 95 MPH. I am looking to move over to the 2016 M2 Irons, should i move over to Regular shafts?
  21. I am looking for a trade. I will give my Taylormade M1 10.5 2017 and I want a callaway Epic SZ. If someone has a Rogue Max 75X would be nice but I could trade just the head too. I have a lot of XStiff shafts just in case someone wants to trade the rogue max for another XStiff shaft.. Just hit me up!! Thank you
  22. Well for me this will be challenging, as I know the number will be higher than I expected, and my memory isn't what it used to be. But I thought it'd be fun to list all the drivers we've had in the bag at one time or another. I was going to go by year, but I don't have that good of recall anymore, so I'll go by brand. Let the fun begin. Adams Golf: Speedline Bridgestone: J815- Callaway- Original Big Bertha FT5 FT9 Draw FT-IZ X-Hot Optiforce 460 Steelhead + XR XR16 Mini 1.5 Cleveland Launcher 400 Launcher Comp 460 Launcher Ti460 HiBORE Classic 290 Cobra ZL Encore LV5 Mizuno MP-001 Nickent 4DX Nike SQ Dymo Vapor Fly PING G2 G5 G20 Srixon Z565 Taylormade Burner Burner Super Fast JetSpeed R1 R7 Super Quad R9 R9 460 R11 R15 Titleist 905R 975J 983K 909D Comp 910 D2 913 D2 917 D3 Wilson Deep Red 305 D200 That's 45 drivers over essentially 22 years of playing full time. Not counting the year or two I played in the early 80s with equipment handed down from my dad. Even with all these, I'm somehow still feeling like I'm forgetting 1 or 2
  23. What's going on MGS members? My name is Kyle and I am from Ohio- I've been using MGS for almost a year now but decided recently to start posting and looking at the forums to help my game out, and see what cool new equipment is out there! I am not one of those golfers that will overstate my skills or how far I hit it because of an ego thing- If i want to be a single digit handicap then I gotta work for it golf is like baseball in that way !
