  3. Just wondering if anyone has had similar issues with the Mizuno CLK hybrid: Backstory: I've never really had a hybrid that I liked (previously had a Nike Vr Covert, Ping i15), I came across the club at the beginning of the season and loved the shape and it demo'd very nicely on the launch monitor. Picked up with the Speeder evo x flex (same as my driver and 3 wood, so I thought that would be a nice consistency). The club is great off the tee, but here are my issued though through a season of play: (1) I've found the ball flight to be quite low (I'm a high ball hitter), and two of my playing partners (also high ball hitters) have hit this against their hybrids and the trajectory is just much flatter with the Mizuno; (2) I've had mixed results at best when hitting this club from the rough; one of the main reason I bought was because the weight and head design seemed like it would be able to get down and through rough, but I feel like it keeps getting held up, so I've been opting for 5 iron layups from long distance.

    eBay Mizuno MP-54

Stumbled across a set of Mizuno MP54's on eBay. These clubs are in excellent condition. Seller stated he played a round or two with them and shelved them for another set of Mizunos. Got 4-PW at $370. Older set of clubs (2012-2013) maybe, but absolutely in great condition. Shaft is kbs tour 120 stiff. They look legit to me and the price was great. I did come across an article about fraudulent clubs on eBay which is why I'm posing this question. Any experts out there good with spotting knock offs or play the mp54's to make a judgement on these? Thanks

  7. Such an exciting time of year, more than a handful of irons hitting or about to hit the market. Which one(s) have you reaching for your wallet? Me? it's a tough one, but I'd have to say the Srixon 585/785, closely followed by the PING 210. But I certainly wouldn't pass up a chance to try the new JPX Forged or Hot Metals
  8. Anybody have knowledge or experience with buying equipment through DHGate? Found these Honma, and (Mizuno) JPX 900 irons, but am thinking might be forgery. What say you? Legit or Bogus?
  9. Mizuno JPX 900 Driver HEAD ONLY. Could essentially pass as new as there are next to no scratches or marks on the head. Matching headcover included and is also in new condition. This clubhead DOES include the shaft adapter and is ready for immediate shafting. Most listings for head only do not include the adapter so this is an added value. Also included is a Callaway torque wrench which works exactly the same as the stock Mizuno wrench. Mizuno adapter adjusts loft from 7.5* to 11.5* and 3 upright settings. Face angle is adjustable with the silver slider on the sole and the blue weights can be moved from the center track to the toe/heel weight ports with the included wrench. SOLD

    Mizuno Fli Hi Irons

I've been looking into some new irons. And would like to try out the mizuno fli hi. Has anyone mixed these into their bag? How do you like them?
  12. Greetings Ya'll, I need assistance getting Dick's to stand behind their error. They ruined my mixed set of Titleist 718 irons and 3 SM6 Vokey wedges. -My Wife and I live in Michigan full time. We are in Clermont Florida temporarily while I attend classes at the Golf Academy of America, Orlando Campus. I am 47, retired as a Major from the Army after 25 years of service. I am going to school to become a Teaching Professional. -A large part of the course work is actually playing the game. I need golf clubs on a daily basis to receive a grade. -I purchased a new set of irons, a Titleist 718 mixed set. 4-7 AP2. 8-P CB. They were professionally fit in Michigan before starting class on October 23rd. In addition to the irons, I purchased 3 Vokey SM6 wedges. 48, 54, 58. All the shafts are upgraded True Temper shafts. Total Cost is approximately $2000 dollars. -I was scheduled to participate in a golf tournament on November 6, 2017. The course, Venetian Bay, is in Port Orange, Florida. On November 5, 2017, my wife and I left Clermont for the tournament. I have been working on gapping my clubs. On our way out of town, we stopped at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Clermont, FL. I stopped to have the licensed club fitter, Jim, adjust the lofts of all 10 clubs. The most any club was to be adjusted was 2 degrees. He adjusted them, we paid for them, and we continued on to the hotel in Port Orange. -After checking in, my wife and I went to a driving range. I always warm up with my wedges. I grabbed my 58 and discovered it looked more like a 4 iron. I don’t know how he did it. But he managed to bend all of clubs in the range of about 10 degrees apiece. I was devastated. We went to Bob Evans for ice cream and to ponder my options. I found a Dick’s in Daytona about 7 miles from us. We made it to the store just before closing. I grabbed the 3 SM6 wedges and showed them to the club fitter Gary. He couldn’t even get them in his loft machine at first. He was able to bend them back close to the point they resembled a wedge. Gary couldn’t figure out how Jim could have done it. I asked him to look at all of them. He couldn’t because the store was closing. The manager of the store apologized profusely. -I played in the tournament and shot a 102 with a bag full of 4 irons. On Tuesday, I showed them to a Pro at school. He told me they were completely ruined. He sent me to the club repair lab to show them to J.D., J.D. is the school’s club fitter. He checked my 6 iron. It was supposed to be 31 degrees. It was 22 degrees. He gathered the class that was about to start to illustrate what happens to a golf club when you bend them wrong. He told me to go back to Dick’s and ask them to replace them. All of the clubs were ruined. - I took the clubs back to Dick’s. I asked for a manager. Zach and Ken were both some sort of intermediary managers. They went to a back room to determine how to proceed. The store manager and golf manager were not in at the time. They couldn’t get ahold of them. They don’t carry Titleist Clubs. I told them I need golf clubs for school. Ken did his best to get them back to stock measurement until a decision was made in the morning when the other 2 were back in the office. Ken told me to snap one of the heads off and then Titleist would replace them. He told me that I would receive a call by 10AM. I called the store at about 4 on Wednesday because I hadn’t heard from them. I eventually talked to Jim the guy that ruined them. He denied it, of course. Zach, the assistant I talked to the day before, eventually called me back. He finally reached the store manager. The store manager is not going to replace them. They said they would send them to Titleist to have them evaluated. This is a problem. I need clubs every day. I had to purchase a set of Mizuno irons and wedges through the school. They offer a school discount. They don’t have an account with Titleist. I can’t afford a set of Titleist irons from a retail store. They should be in this week so I can turn in the Titleist clubs to Dicks. - I expect to receive new Titleist 718 irons from Dicks and to be reimbursed for the irons I had to buy to participate in school. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated. Best, Brian Bonney
  13. Going through my phone to sort out some pics for finishing up my JPX900 HotMetal review, i ran across several variations of my WITB just in the last two years, there were more before that, but fortunately it's before camera phones were really the thing...ha So here's a look back, if you have multiple years worth, lets see them as well. List Your Drivers!

Well for me this will be challenging, as I know the number will be higher than I expected, and my memory isn't what it used to be. But I thought it'd be fun to list all the drivers we've had in the bag at one time or another. I was going to go by year, but I don't have that good of recall anymore, so I'll go by brand. Let the fun begin. Adams Golf: Speedline Bridgestone: J815- Callaway- Original Big Bertha FT5 FT9 Draw FT-IZ X-Hot Optiforce 460 Steelhead + XR XR16 Mini 1.5 Cleveland Launcher 400 Launcher Comp 460 Launcher Ti460 HiBORE Classic 290 Cobra ZL Encore LV5 Mizuno MP-001 Nickent 4DX Nike SQ Dymo Vapor Fly PING G2 G5 G20 Srixon Z565 Taylormade Burner Burner Super Fast JetSpeed R1 R7 Super Quad R9 R9 460 R11 R15 Titleist 905R 975J 983K 909D Comp 910 D2 913 D2 917 D3 Wilson Deep Red 305 D200 That's 45 drivers over essentially 22 years of playing full time. Not counting the year or two I played in the early 80s with equipment handed down from my dad. Even with all these, I'm somehow still feeling like I'm forgetting 1 or 2

    I'll Be Your Guinea Pig!

I look at the bags of people I play with and think, wow! I seriously need to sort my kit out! Don't get me wrong, I do like my irons (Mizuno MP30 3-PW), but I am sure that being so old and so well used, they are not helping my game much anymore. My bag is okay, but my trolley - OMG! - It's one of those old Titleist square tube fold-up jobbies haha! I have a mixture of wedges and these too are old (apart from my Callaway 56 degree) and my woods are also quite ancient when it comes to comparing against the adjustable modern drivers of the last few years or so! Driver sounds like a frying pan! I love the look and feel of the new Taylormade P-Series irons and Titleist have always been a firm favourite in terms of both look and feel. I've also hit a few shots on the range with the Mizuno MP4 - wow such a sexy looking set of sticks!! I'd love to just get myself fitted and start a new chapter in my golfing career, but fallen on hard times and although on an upward curve now, this is not likely to happen for some time. Would be nice to be a test subject, I reckon! #Taylormade #Titleist #Mizuno #Callaway #Ping - I'll Be Your Guinea Pig if you need normal people to test your clubs. I would blog and brag all day about your brand - I'm active in many groups and follow so many blogs, I have also just started to get a decent following on my FB Fan Page and building a group - https://www.facebook.com/SunsetSafarisGolf/#- https://www.facebook.com/groups/SunsetAfricanSafariandGolf/ I play off 8, have been as low as 3, so please pick me !
  20. So I've been testing drivers for the past month and was recently fit into the Epic which was producing some amazing numbers for me. I really like the look and feel of the Epic. I was ready to make the purchase when I unexpectedly came into receiving a brand new JPX 900 driver at no cost. The JPX looks stunning. I managed to hit a demo at a local pga superstore but didn't get a chance to really tweak the settings. I will be heading back to compare side by side to make a final decision on whether to sell JPX and buy Epic or keep Mizuno. I'm just wondering if anyone has hit these two drivers side by side BUT with each drivers setting dialed in to their swings. If so which performed better for you and which did you decide on?

    Mizuno JPX 900 Tour Irons

Mizuno continue to impress with a stunning looking new Iron. These Irons really stand out from the crowd and with them being in the hand of the US open winner its definitely the start to the launch they would have wanted. I'm going to be keen to get my hands on a set of these to replace my JPX850 irons. I've applied to test them to see if they can help reduce my handicap from 5. Here's hoping!! failing that I've already started saving up. Straight away the sleek looking Iron grabs your attention and with Mizuno always producing quality in the iron department I'm hoping they play as good good as they look.

  23. Howdy, My name is Cody. I am a technical writer from Utah, and I've been playing golf my whole life, though I've just began to take it seriously within the past two years. I live in Utah, so I get to play a very diverse range of courses. I'm a 14 handicap, just starting to work on game improvement. Here's what's in my bag: Driver: Adams Blue 3-wood: Adams XTD-TI Hybrid 20,23: Adams XTD-TI Irons: Mizuno JPX 900 HotMetal Putter: Superstroke Fatso My favorite club in my bag is my putter. I was able to pick up a Superstroke Fatso from when SuperStroke had a foray into custom putters. It's absolutely beautiful, and I got it by contacting their warehouse and begging them to sell me one.
  24. I've played golf my whole life with hand-me-down sets. Now that I'm getting serious about playing, I bought some nice clubs. Let me know what you think. Driver: Adams Blue 3-wood: Adams XTD-TI Hybrid 20,23: Adams XTD-TI Irons: Mizuno JPX 900 HotMetal Cleveland wedges Putter: Superstroke Fatso I am loving my irons and woods so far. I decided to go with super forgiving clubs, and I'm glad I did. I was custom fitted this time around at my local golf shop. The SuperStroke putter is my favorite club. I've attached a picture. I fell in love with it after reading a MyGolfSpy review from back in 2011, and just had to have one. Problem was: they were selling on Ebay for like 300 bucks! I was able to contact SuperStroke directly and their customer service found a few in the warehouse.
