  1. For sale is a rare iron set from MacGregor - Hand ground Tour Issue 4-9 NVG2 irons by Don White, master clubmaker who made clubs for Nicklaus, Norman and Palmer, as well as many others while at MacGregor. Don has since worked for Scratch Golf, and currently grinds for National Custom Works. These are the only set of game improvement irons I have been able to track down, and the only set of NVG2's with the famous DW stamp on them. NVG2's were played by Greg Norman on tour in 2007. The clubs do show signs of use, but are in fairly good condition; the grooves are still very good and faces in great shape. There are some small chrome cracks where the face meets the hosel, but have had them checked out by my trusted local shop and they are just cosmetic. Shafts are TrueTemper DynaLite Gold s300 in great shape that are 3/4 inch longer than standard, and Golf Pride grips with a little life left in them. Asking $450 OBO Shipped.
  2. Awesome clubs, need re-gripped. True Temper black label stiff shafts. 5 iron shows mild chrome wear, the rest are good and paint fill has been refreshed. Legendary clubs. $70+actual shipping by either FedEx or USPS Priority. PayPal as a gift or add 3% to cover fees. PM me or email dwcopple@yahoo.com
  3. The Kinloch Club posted some new photos of the course this week and it made me want to play there again - looks like I'll be back in New Zealand in November, so I might just do that. Anyway, here are the photos - the only Nicklaus course I've played thus far, but it'd take a lot to beat it. The undulations on both fairways and greens are insane. The last photo is the par-5 18th. I ended up in the bunker on the photographers edge of the green. Needless to say, with the water so close it was a little nervy but managed to get up and down from there for victory #humblebrag lol I posted a review of this course after I played it - linked here if anyone is interested: The Kinloch Club Course Review If you ever get to New Zealand, this should be on your list of courses to play. They're actually opening up a lodge and villas on the course in the middle of this year - FYI, the lake beyond is teeming with trout as well! Beautiful part of the world. The Kinloch Club
  4. Just another reason I love this tournament! The man still has it!!!
  5. Nicklaus is having a special on his golf balls with proceeds going to childrens health charities. Has anyone played his ball? Any feedback? ----------- Nicklaus Golf Ball Line Celebrates Jack's 75th Birthday with Special Offer Three Dozen Premium Golf Balls Available for $75, January 21 through end of Month, With Part of the Proceeds Going to Children's Charities (NORTH PALM BEACH, FL) – Nicklaus Golf Balls – the line of premium golf balls designed, tested and perfected under the direct supervision of legend Jack Nicklaus – announces a special offer in honor of the Golden Bear's 75th birthday, wherein customers can purchase three dozen Nicklaus Golf Balls for the bundle price of $75, beginning on Nicklaus' birthday, January 21st, and valid through the end of the month. This limited-time offer provides significant value – including savings up to $21 a purchase – on the company's critically acclaimed models, which are available in three unique options to benefit players of all skill levels. Available at www.nicklaus.com, the special includes free shipping and handling. This promotion continues the commitment of the Nicklaus Companies to support children's charities nationwide. For every dozen sold through nicklaus.com, the company makes a minimum donation of $1 each to the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation (NCHCF) and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®. When FedEx delivery services are used, another $1 is donated to St. Jude. “In honor of Jack's 75th, we wanted to share his legendary success with all golfers seeking a premium ball perfectly suited for their game,” said Howard Milstein, Co-Chairman of the Nicklaus Companies. “We also wanted to recognize Jack's commitment to children and his community, positively impacting the game of golf while delivering a best-in-class product at an affordable price.” Nicklaus Golf Balls are engineered for players with a variety of swing speeds. Offered in three models—Black, Blue and White—golfers choose their ball according to the color of the tee markers from which they typically play. The color-coding makes choosing the correct ball easy, benefitting scores and pace of play. Nicklaus worked closely with experts in materials, technology, engineering, design and manufacturing to develop these made-in-the-USA products. Nicklaus Golf Balls are exclusively sold at nicklaus.com and pro shops at the more than 200 domestic Nicklaus Design courses. This saves players money by reducing costs built into products sold through traditional retail channels. As a result, the premium line is attractively priced at $28 to $32 per dozen, and generates greater charity donations, as visitors to nicklaus.com have the option to make a voluntary contribution.
