  1. There are some good articles and forums showing off Puma's new Ignite NXT line, like this one: But not much in the way of reviews yet. Has anyone tried the Solelace on course or at the driving range? How would you rate it (bonus points if you have used a disc model before and can compare)? I have a new pair of the Disc sitting in my office right now because that's (somewhat) proven technology, but I like the look of the Solelace better, so I keep looking down at them debating an exchange (but I'm skeptical... seems like it could be gimmicky). We have about 3 months until golf season starts in Wisconsin, so I'm hoping someone in a warmer climate has actually tried them out and can give some insight to help me with the decision. Thanks!
  2. Press Release from Puma PUMA Golf is excited to announce a multi-year agreement with four-time major winner Ernie Els. As part of the partnership, Els will serve as a global ambassador and wear PUMA Golf footwear during his professional events. Els will wear PUMA’s IGNITE PWRADAPT and NXT family of shoes on Tour. The PWRADAPT family of footwear features a cutting-edge traction system with 3-dimensional traction pods and responsive cushioning with IGNITE Foam, for the ideal blend of industry-leading technology, style, comfort and performance. A Comfort Construction mesh bootie replaces a traditional tongue for improved fit, comfort and support, while the PWRFRAME, an ultra-thin TPU frame, is strategically placed in high stress areas on the shoe’s upper for lightweight support and enhanced stability that golfers need to play well on all surfaces and slopes. “I’m excited about this new relationship with PUMA,” comments Els. “I’ve been wearing their golf shoes since the start of the year and honestly I feel like it’s really been a factor in me catching some form of late. I just feel more grounded with these shoes, like it’s giving me a firmer foundation in my swing. What I also like is the shoe combines stability with lightness and comfort. That’s a tough trick to pull off, but the guys at PUMA have nailed it. I’m very happy to be part of the team.” “We are honored to have Ernie wearing our footwear and representing our brand on Tour. He is an icon in the international golf world, with an exemplary career both on and off the course, and a huge global presence. We’re excited to welcome him to the PUMA family,” said Dan Ladd, Senior VP of Sales & Marketing, COBRA PUMA GOLF. See attached for the full press release with additional details. Reach out with any questions! In honor of the partnership announcement, PUMA made him some custom shoes to wear as he tees-it-up at this week’s RBC Heritage.

  7. PUMA GOLF LAUNCHES TITANTOUR IGNITE FOOTWEAR, THE COMPANY'S MOST COMFORTABLE COLLECTION TO DATE CARLSBAD, Calif. (October 27, 2015) – PUMA Golf, a leader in golf footwear innovation and design, has introduced the new IGNITE collection of golf footwear – the most comfortable collection from the brand to date, including TITANTOUR IGNITE and TITANTOUR IGNITE Premium. The footwear utilizes revolutionary IGNITE foam – an innovative foam that maximizes energy return to give golfers power, comfort and performance through all 18 holes. Engineered with PUMA's proprietary IGNITE foam, the TITANTOUR IGNITE family is designed to deliver responsive cushioning, optimal rebound, and superior step-in comfort through every shot. During a proprietary manufacturing process, a liquid Polyurethane (PU) blend is poured into a mold in the shape of the midsole. IGNITE Foam has a high support factor and high compression set that results in both superior cushioning and minimal deformation over time. This new foam technology is designed to make the shoe more responsive and release energy more efficiently throughout the swing, making IGNITE footwear extra comfortable. “The coolest shoe in golf is now the most comfortable shoe we've ever made. The addition of IGNITE foam to the PWRCOOL Technology brings TITANTOUR footwear to a new level – enhancing its performance on the course and providing unparalleled support and cushioning,” said Grant Knudson, Head of Footwear, PUMA Golf. “At PUMA Golf we challenge ourselves to create footwear that helps golfers focus on their game instead of thinking about their feet. With the TITANTOUR IGNITE collection, golfers can play from dawn ‘til dusk and their feet will be comfortable, protected and performance ready.” In addition to the IGNITE foam, the shoes also features TITANTOUR's signature technology, PWRCOOL powered by Outlast, which regulates foot temperature by utilizing phase change materials that absorb, store and release heat for optimal thermal comfort. The IGNITE collection provides 360o comfort and performance by adding a premium dual density PU sockliner that provides additional comfort and a customized fit, along with a PWRFRAME TPU outsole that encases the midsole for lightweight strength and durability, increased flexibility and superior traction. The outsole also boasts DUOFLEX, anatomically positioned flex grooves that allows the foot to move naturally while still providing support with a low-profile cleat made with K5 for long lasting abrasion resistance. Rickie Fowler debuted the new TITANTOUR IGNITE footwear at this year's Presidents Cup. “My shoes play a big role in my performance,” said Fowler. “I definitely attribute some of my success on the golf course to my PUMA Golf gear. Wearing the new IGNITE footwear over the past few weeks makes me really excited to get out there and play as we move into the new season.” Sporting a new, sleeker shape, and new performance last, the TITANTOUR IGNITE is full-grain leather that provides excellent fit, unrivaled comfort and a stylish toe-down look. The TITANTOUR IGNITE is also available in a Premium model, taking golf footwear to the next level with sophisticated, tonal colorways in full-grain leather and constructed with an ultra-soft pigskin lining. 13. PUMA GOLF'S AUTUMN WINTER 2015 COLLECTION FEATURES ALL NEW PWRWARM TECHNOLOGY Apparel Designed For Temperature Regulation and Helping Golfers Achieve Peak Performance in Any Weather CARLSBAD, Calif. (September 9, 2015) – PUMA Golf, a leader in golf apparel innovation, design and style, introduced the new Autumn Winter '15 Collection featuring PWRWarm, a new technology engineered to help golfers maintain an optimum body temperature though any weather by providing lightweight warmth, breathability and freedom of movement. PWRWarm, an innovative ceramic print that retains an individual's body heat, is designed to create a warmer microclimate without the bulk or weight of traditional cold weather fabrics. The strategically placed adaptive materials are engineered to help golfers maintain an optimum body temperature without losing momentum on the course. “The science behind heating and cooling your body has brought our focus to thermoregulation and optimizing body temperature to give golfers the best performance,” said Kristin Hinze, Head of Apparel at PUMA Golf. “When cold, people develop goose bumps, loss of motor control and sensory perception, which can trigger involuntary shivers to generate heat. People's natural reaction to the cold hinders their performance, but PWRWarm regulates body temperature, helping golfers perform better when the temperature drops.” “I need apparel that will diffuse all external elements and keep me focused on my round,” said Rickie Fowler, PGA TOUR star and PUMA Golf athlete. “I started wearing PWRWarm at the Scottish Open - when the temperature dropped and the weather was cold and windy, PWRWarm kept me warm and confortable, allowing me to concentrate on my game, and ultimately take home the trophy.” The rest of the Autumn Winter '15 collection for men boasts a unique blend of function and style incorporating novelty textures, patterns and is designed for maximum breathability, comfort and optimum performance no matter what the conditions. Other key technologies within the collection include Cleansport NXT finish, a bio-based treatment that uses natural enzymes to reduce odor-causing organic materials, Dri-Release moisture management to keep golfers dry and comfortable, and UPF treatment to provide protection from the sun. This year on TOUR PUMA Golf staffers have been rocking apparel from the Autumn Winter '15 Collection including PWRWARM pieces. The PWRWarm collection features 12 garments including a variety of layering pieces, sweaters and jackets ranging between $70-$120 USD. The Autumn Winter '15 collection is available now at www.cobragolf.com/pumagolf and in select retailers.

  21. PUMA® GOLF INTRODUCES TITANTOUR: DESIGNED TO BE THE “COOLEST” SHOE IN GOLF Featuring Revolutionary Temperature-Regulation Technology along with Tour Performance and Maximum Comfort CARLSBAD, Calif. (January 13, 2015) – PUMA Golf, a leader in footwear innovation and design, has announced the release of the new TITANTOUR golf footwear. Designed to be the coolest shoe in golf, the TITANTOUR features revolutionary, temperature-regulating Outlast® Technology along with a sleek, eye-catching silhouette for a tour performance golf shoe with industry-leading comfort and style. Outlast Certified Space Technology™ was originally developed for NASA to maintain a comfortable temperature in spacesuits and now, PUMA Golf brings this technology to the golf course with TITANTOUR. The strategic placement of Outlast in the sockliner top cloth is designed to proactively manage heat while controlling the production of moisture before it begins. Foot temperature is regulated through phase-change materials that absorb, store and release heat for optimal thermal comfort. “Once again, we are pushing the limits of footwear innovation and style. The TITANTOUR provides even greater comfort for the golfer by proactively regulating heat and reacting to changes in conditions and foot temperature,” said PUMA Golf Head of Footwear Grant Knudson. “The fit, feel and performance of the new TITANTOUR shoes are specifically designed to meet the needs of all golfers at the highest level.” The TITANTOUR also features PowerFrame Technology – an ultra-thin TPU frame encases the EVA midsole for lightweight strength, extreme durability, increased flexibility and superior traction, combined with external TPU Heel Support, to provide greater stability and ground contact for additional force and power during a swing. Combining performance with style, the upper touts a sleek design that is made of full-grain, ultra-premium leather for a soft feel and sophisticated look while PowerVamp across the forefoot reduces stretch over time and provides increased stability. The upper and insole come equipped with ShapeLock memory foam for a customized fit, long-lasting comfort and cushioning with every step. “The new TITANTOUR shoe provides all the performance, comfort, cooling and support that I need in a golf shoe, but better yet it has a look and feel that really fits my style on course,” said COBRA PUMA GOLF Tour Professional Rickie Fowler. “PUMA Golf continues to make shoes that help me perform on Tour and keep me one-step ahead of my competition.” New, low-profile Stealth cleats utilize K5 for long-lasting abrasion resistance, while strategically placed walls of secondary traction surround and work with the removable cleats for unrivaled traction and stability. The outsole features anatomically positioned flex grooves that allow the foot to move naturally while providing the necessary support. The TITANTOUR ($220) is available in seven color combinations—Black-White; White-Vibrant Orange; White-Strong Blue; White-Gray Violet; Brown-Mustang; White-Black and the new Flash colorway, made of reflective material. All colors hit golf retailers starting February 1, 2015 and offer a two year waterproof guarantee. 22. These will be launched tomorrow by Puma Golf. Their shoes have proven to be some of the most comfortable in golf, time and again. These look to be no different in their progression for one shoe, on or off the golf course. Oh yeah, these are waterproof! http://www.cobragolf.com/pumagolf/biodrive-golf-shoes-in-progress PUMA® GOLF INTRODUCES NEW BIODRIVE FOOTWEAR Three Performance Zones Deliver Unmatched Flexibility, Balance and Stability CARLSBAD, Calif. (Nov. 20, 2014) – Today, PUMA Golf introduces BioDrive – the next generation of golf footwear designed for performance, training and versatility on and off the course, featuring three specialized zones specifically engineered to increase flexibility, balance and stability. BioDrive's three performance zones provide superior grip and control on course, utilizing multiple decoupled octagon shaped pods in the forefoot for flexibility and increased ground contact and traction. Additionally, the mid-foot axis point allows for supportive torsional movement for a balanced feel, and lastly, four connected pods in the heel provide a sturdy platform for unmatched stability. “Training in the gym and on the course is important for golfers of all levels. And when you need to go from the weight room to the range it's vital to have the right footwear. I love the versatility and performance of the BioDrive shoes,” said Joey D Diovisalvi, a golf fitness expert and COBRA PUMA GOLF ambassador. “It's a great performer on the course that allows the golfer to grip the ground through their swing but can also be worn to the gym. From a biomechanics standpoint, it provides the flexibility, stability and balance necessary for optimal performance.” Infused with PUMA Golf's signature colors and progressive golf style, the BioDrive's silhouette is designed to mimic a fast, athletic shoe while the outsole is inspired by features of a traditional golf shoe. The outsole contains 10 strategically positioned octagons providing 130 unique points of traction. The traction on the perimeter of each octagon is designed with a larger surface area to provide better traction on indoor, smoother surfaces, while traction on the center octagons provide stable performance on the golf course. A waterproof performance ripstop mesh upper that is lightweight and breathable and helps golfers stay cool and protected in any weather. The shoe comes with a 2-year waterproof warranty. “The BioDrive was literally designed from the ground up. Starting with the outsole we focused on three zones – the heel, the midfoot and the forefoot – keeping in mind all the elements important to a golfer – comfort, fit, flexibility and balance,” said Grant Knudson, head of footwear, PUMA Golf. “This spikeless, versatile shoe allows golfers to go straight from work to the gym, to the range, or to play 18.” Built on an all-new anatomical, roomy comfort last, the carbon rubber in the shoe's outsole ensures an excellent grip and long-lasting durability, while a TPU perimeter wrap is bonded 360 degrees around the shoe for improved protection and durability. The BioDrive ($140) is available in four color combinations—Strong Blue/Peacoat/Fluro Yellow, Black/Turbulence/Puma Red, Tradewinds/White/Vibrant Orange and Black/White/Turbulence —and hits golf retailers starting December 15.
