  1. This is going to be a new bi-weekly golf column focusing on all the major news and stories around professional golf, golf equipment, and the general golf world. Please send your submissions to me as you think of them throughout the weeks and maybe your submission will be featured in the next column! Stock Up: Great Names on Tour After sluggish Double Bogey, Bogey start, the dart ripping (pun-intended) Thai fan favorite, Kiradech Aphibarnrat, drained his Ace. Shortly followed by Scott Gutschewski, one hopping in his Ace. In this case, do you split the bar tab or does it mean everyone gets doubles? Stock Down: The Shark swimming in the North Sea this July Despite not competing in the last 13 years, Greg Norman made some bold statements claiming that he deserves a special exemption by saying "I am past Champion. I love St. Andrews." The R&A swiftly dunked on him by saying “The entry terms and conditions for The Open stipulate that a champion must be aged 60 or under or have won the championship in the previous 10 years to be exempt from qualifying,. That remains the case for the 150th Open and we have no plans for any additional exemptions.” Looks like the Shark will have to keep swimming. Stock Up: GET TO THE CHOPPA Tiger stans were notified early Thursday that his private plane had departed Jupiter in route to Tulsa to play a practice round at Southern Hills to test his leg. While media was strictly prohibited on site, an Oklahoma news channel got very creative and flew their traffic helicopter over the practice green to watch Tiger and his beautiful Newport putter. Stock Down: Phil's Coffee for Wellness The golf news was dominated by Tiger, but there was a Phil sighting for the first time in a few months at Rancho Santa Fe, and by the looks of it he's been taking a break from his diet and his coffee for wellness program. Boy, oh boy, Phil is looking THICC nowadays, but he's still ripping HELLACIOUS SEEDS. Stock Up: Counting score like a 30 Handicapper After taking an unplayable and having to punch out, Rickie Fowler flushed a wedge from 134 yards to sink his bogey 5. Wait till the end of the video below for a classic Rickie moment. Stock Down: Reading The PGL (Professional Golf League) sent out a lengthy memo to all PGA Tour Members this week. In case you forgot, the PGL was actually the initial contender to the PGA Tour prior to the Saudi backed LIV Golf backed the Brinks truck up and took all the attention. If you want the TLDR on the memo below, the PGL claims that it can build a league worth $2 Billion and is offering the players a 50% share in the league.

  3. Another chance to watch some live golf this weekend, I'll take whatever I can get at this point. Capital One’s The Match: Champions for Charity takes place on Sunday, May 24 from Medalist Golf Club. It will feature Tiger Woods and former NFL QB Peyton Manning vs. Phil Mickelson and current NFL QB Tom Brady. The event will benefit COVID-19 relief efforts. HOW TO FOLLOW ● Sunday, May 24. Live TV coverage begins at 3 p.m. ET ● Television Broadcast: TNT, TBS, truTV, HLN, HLN in Canada, CNN International ● Format: Four-Ball (Best Ball) format on the front nine and a Modified Alternate Shot format on the back nine, where each participant will tee off and then the team will play alternate shot from the selected drive. 4. We know how much golf and the business of golf thinks they need TW. Those people might step back and realize "they" had him once and cruised to uncharted places. They were the Titanic to his iceberg; and now that ship ain't a floatin' up to the surface and... that iceberg has long since melted. Smaller boats, fewer passengers and iceberg free seas might just be the only course to navigate, as golf goes forward. To that end, a petition*, from those of us who wish him the best, and yet want him to do no further damage to himself or his reputation. Would you sign if there was such a thing? I'm interested in The Spy Community thoughts. PETITION The undersigned hereby absolve Eldrick "Tiger" Woods from any further embarrassment and ridicule, as a result of his continued attempts at returning to former glory as a sports and global public icon. From this point forward we collectively agree to no longer care what tournament, clinic, partner, golf club, golf ball, shirt, shoe, vitamin, domicile, boat, island, swing plane, golf course, facial hair and percentage of body fat Mr. Woods does or does not witness. Without a large constituency calling for your participation in the above activities, you are now free to stop your participation in them. The undersigned recognize Mr. Woods' former achievements AND failings as the past. Our wishes for his future success shall be finite and limited to a recognition of Mr. Woods as a breathing male human who holds the responsibilities as Father and record holding athlete. From this day forward, we the undersigned encourage Mr. Woods to cease all forced efforts to present himself as something he's not. We shall, in kind, no longer pursue the fantasy that Tiger Woods is a persona that requires our commentary and speculation to become something he cannot. Thank you for your existence, and good luck. ________________________________________________ Date _________________________________ ________________________________________________ Date _________________________________ ________________________________________________ Date _________________________________ ________________________________________________ Date _________________________________ ________________________________________________ Date _________________________________ ________________________________________________ Date _________________________________ ________________________________________________ Date _________________________________ * All credit goes to the beloved Armitage Shanks
  5. Hey Everyone, My name is Terry Wittek. I am a local insurance agent in South Florida: business, home, auto and beyond. I play at many different private clubs in Palm Beach County, so if you are interested in getting an invite, let me know.
  6. Could this be a sign that Tiger is officially done? I don't think that will be determined until after The Masters.
  7. Is this for real? This would be MAJOR news if correct.
  8. Yeah, so Tiger shot 70 today and thats all I've heard about for the past few hours. Do we really care what Tiger shot in a Pro-am? I'm excited about his return, but come on. Here is Tiger talking about getting back out there. The best question from the short interview....."whats it like to be out there in pants, walking". LOL
  9. Does this swing have longevity? Definitely a change from his violent tendencies of the past. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
  10. Red, White, & Blue. Choose the color YOU want.
  11. Don't let your glutes get in the way of your golf swing.
  12. Hey guys, How are you all doing? A little bit about myself? mmmmmm I obviously love golf! Probably more than I love myself - he he he he!! Love staying in shape and FOOD! Man I like food. Being a X-Pro I still play pretty well but not as well as i would like of course! Who doesn't ha? I am a Tiger fanatic. Yes Yes now before you think aaaa whatever, even being at his low point of his career he is still the greatest golfer that has graced our presence in recent times! HE WILL BE BACK! Anyway looking forward to connecting with you guys and sure we will have some pretty interesting topics to chat about! CHEERS guys! O and happy golfing! Tom
  13. So Tiger got a whole practice round in at Augusta and fired a 74 (+2). It's good to see that he is there, and fuels the speculation that he may actually play. So what say you, fine golf-loving internet people? Will Tiger play? How do you think he will perform if he is able to strap up the TW15s? (I saw the odds this morning for him winning are at 50-1)
  14. Well, I was the 20th caller to the PGA Tour Radio Channel today and won 4 one day passes to The 2014 TWF Tournament next week in Orlando. Wow! And to think I was not going to call. I am excited to go with my Golf Buds next Sunday. I am stoked!
  15. Sometimes you run across things too good not to share....
  16. Rory Mcilroy vs Tiger Woods infographic created by Aford Awards a UK manufacturer of golf trophies.
  17. ESPN just reported that Tiger Woods announced that he will no longer be working with coach Sean Foley. He also stated their is no timetable for hiring a new coach. After his latest playing attempts, it was obvious that Tiger needs to adjust his swing style......and that would probably require his finding a new coach with a different swing philosophy. I really think that Butch Harmon is the best coach suited to help Tiger change to a smoother swing so that he does not continue to injure hi back. What you y'all think?
