(4) Testers Wanted Callaway GBB Epic Driver This may very well be the big one of the year, fellow GolfSpies. You might even say it's.... Epic! Okay, sorry. This week's test and review opportunity is for one of the driver stories of 2017, the Callaway GBB Epic. We're looking for 4 avid golfers to test and review (and keep) the number one selling driver in the US for the last three consecutive months. We saw the Epic finish in second place, just an eyelash behind the Srixon Z 565 in the MGS Most Wanted Driver Testing last week, so we know the thing is pretty

(4) TESTERS WANTED Callaway Steelhead XR/ XR Pro Irons Can a remake ever be as good as the original? Could a remake ever be better than the original? Ever since the rebirth of Big Bertha, Callaway has had no problem bringing back iconic names from the past - Great Big Bertha, Fusion, Apex and now, Steelhead. Callaway has hit the proverbial daily double with the new Steelhead XR and the Steelhead XR Pro irons. At last count, the Steelhead XR's are the number one selling iron in golf and has helped make Callaway the number one OEM in golf. Clearly the Steelheads are more

Four Testers Wanted!! Callaway CR 16/XR 16 Pro Driver/FW Combo We Want YOU!! There's a saying in Minnesota that's popular among golfers: Long and straight off the tee? It's better than sex and almost as good as sweet corn. That's a sentiment Callaway captured perfectly in what has to go down as a classic piece of golf marketing. Testers Wanted: If you want long and straight, Callaway is always at or near the top of the must-demo list. This year, Callaway teamed up with Boeing to create the XR 16 and XR 16 Pro driver and fairway wood. The result? Aerodynamics, Hyper Sp

I finally had the chance to go to the range this weekend and put a little work in. After tinkering a little with my driver configuration this weekend, I started thinking of the poor state of custom fitting today. "Custom fitting" today means going in to the store and hitting a few shafts, picking a couple, tinkering with weights and positions and then finally coming up with a combo you like. The majority of the time is spent on arguable non-sense and the stuff that matters (the specs and info that isn't "pretty" in print ads) like: frequency matching the stiffness of the shaft, spine-ing,

Guys, I know a lot of you get on the Twitters. But, there are many that do not. I would like to introduce, Anthony Taranto. He works in the Callaway Tour Department in Carlsbad. He caught my attention with the photos that he posts of some of his work. Tonight, he seemed to catch the attention of Pat Perez too, who wants a #7 with skulls on it. Anyway, here he is, and as he posts some of his work, I'll try my best to include it here as well so you can see it too. Maybe we can get him on the site to discuss some of the work he does, etc? Yes, I'm a Callaway guy. But this isn't about Cal

Earlier this month, I traveled to Carlsbad, California, with my regular golf partner and fellow golf journalist, Ryan Heiman. We left the cold of Minneapolis behind to visit a friend of our's as well as the golf equipment manufacturers that saturate Southern California. When we reached out to the OEM's, we didn't have an agenda or “story†to tell. It was pretty basic, we wanted to see where they lived, and how they did business. Each of them told their story in a different way. Each of them handled our presence in a unique way, and almost mirrored how you think about each respe
