Hello MGS Community, I'm a long time consumer of MyGolfSpy, but this is my first Topic I've created. The gist of this thread is how to build the best Home Simulator for $4,000. That seems like a lot, but in my honest opinion, this is the lowest cost you can get while getting a full sim experience with true ball data instead of random ball data assumed from club data systems like the Optishot's infrared system. I'm not here to brag about anything as you can see from pictures below that I built this system over a number of years and countless hours of research. In the below spreadsheet
The grounds are not photogenic, but this serves its purpose. It's fall here in Connecticut, so not a lot of grass. Still gotta practice! TrueStrike golf mat, a good net mounted on a tree and 10' 4"x4" post, a home made driving range club stand, and a custom made cedar golf shed for my chipping mat, chipping target net, etc. I have a heavy duty tarp to keep the mat in good condition (10yrs old!). Whadda ya think?
So MGS members, who among you has tried all three? Thoughts, experiences and recommendations would be appreciated. I can’t believe there isn’t an official MGS review out there, and if I’ve missed it please point me in the right direction. Been on a hunt for the best mat. Want to avoid the bouncing fat shot that comes off fine... Also want to protect the old wrists and elbows. Want to hit irons and also use my own tee (or a real tee like solution) for my driver. These three seem like the top of the line. Different solutions to hit down on the ball and avoid bouncing into it. But o
