  1. This may very well be the weakest field I've seen on the main tour in quite some time. The top players clearly pacing themselves going into the Texas Valero Open and then The Masters. With the reschedule of this event to this past fall, as part of the C19 shuffle, could be a few feel like they were just there. Still, it's tour golf and for us avid followers, a chance to see a few names we don't often see playing the weekend. I'm going with Charley Hoffman though Sam Ryder or Cabrera Bello would seem good bets. My FTx team will have exactly zero, none, nada participants . Oh yea, totally forgot about the Dell Technologies (thanks @blackngold_blood). So we'll just combine both events for this weeks PGA TOUR-O-RAMA. I'm picking JT for this one... hard to bet against him.
  2. Match play event, Member Guest, handicaps in effect. Team 1, player A and B. Team 2, player A and B. Player 1B is putting for bogey, 4 feet from the hole. Player 2A asks Player 1A: "Are there any strokes on this hole?" Player 1A responds: "I don't think so, BUT I don't know for sure." Player 2B concedes Player 1B's putt. Team 2 makes a par, Team 1 believes they have made a bogey walking off the green. When teams reach their carts, they realize that Player 1B did in fact have a stroke on the hole, and made a net par with the conceded putt, tying the hole. Player 2A sternly protests that they would not have conceded the putt had they known Player 1B was receiving a stroke and contends they still win the hole. What is the ruling in this situation? Player 1A did state that he was not sure if there were any strokes on the hole, when he was asked.
  3. So due to popular request, OK one person requested it, so I consider that a popular request..ha I'm going to provide a hole by hole update of Round 1 of my Mens League Playoff's tonight. I'll try to add some course info later if I get time, to give you a feel. But for the players. I'm playing Doug, he's seeded 4th in our bracket. He's getting 4 pops in this 9 hole stroke play format, not true match play. So he plays to about a 10 handicap and plays our course regularly. Not a long hitter (like myself) so he must keep it in play and have a good short game. CG2, I'm seeded 13th and am getting 9 strokes on the card. So that nets out to 5 shots I'll be getting at the very end. See I did pay attention in math class I'm coming into the playoffs on a decent streak of playing reasonably well, i hope to continue that by keeping the ball in play and avoiding the big numbers and taking advantage of my strokes. My putting was exceptional last week 13 putts for 9 holes. Play begins at 5:00 PM EST time, so look for some updates after that and some pics if I can.

  6. New to blog forums, so I look forward to any tips/coaching. Lookng for ways to introduce our Pro-Am tournaments, which bring the Next Generation of Fantasy Golf to golfers at 11,800 courses across the country.
  7. Would you like to pick 2 PGA Tour players as partners in a Pro-Am? Format is 3 man Best Ball. We have developed an app that let's you do that at 11,800 courses across America. There are divisions for handicap players and non-handicap players. Very cool scorecard app that also tracks your groups sidegames and wagers. We are using Kickstarter as way for people to get early entry tokens at a discount. We would love to get your help. Just click the link https://goo.gl/13Yd81 Before you ask, there are plenty of ways we safeguard the integrity of the competition, including verifying all tournament scores have been posted with USGA approved handicap provider i.e. GHIN or equivalent. Thoughts???
