  1. In the words of Jackie Gleason... "and away we go". Our first event for the 2022 season begins at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, CA. Originally called the San Diego Open in 1952, it has a great legacy of champions - to include a guy name Tiger who gathered up 7 of those Pine Tree Trophies. The inaugural event winner was Ted Kroll (yah, me neither ) and, amazingly, Arnold only won it one time in 1957. Patrick Reed returns with a VERY DEEP field to defend his title. Keep in mind that we will have an on-line event contest each week and the more weeks you play the more chance you have of winning the bacon. Also that this weeks event starts Wednesday and concludes Saturday; so get your picks for this and Fantasy League in early. https://runmypools.com/JRMPNWWF
  2. Really interesting read. I knew most of this stuff but it was good to relearn some of it. Hopefully he and his family will work things out one day. http://www.golf.com/knockdown/2018/04/08/masters-patrick-reed-estranged-family-complex-mix-emotions
  3. Accused of cheating and stealing, Patrick Reed is coming back swinging...
  4. [from GolfWeek.com] Patrick Reed has addressed accusations released last week that portray him in a harsh and dishonest light. Reed's management team, IMG, issued a statement Monday acknowledging the defamatory statements that appeared in an excerpt from a book, "Slaying the Tiger: A Year Inside the Ropes on the New PGA Tour," authored by Shane Ryan. Included in Ryan's excerpt are accusations that Reed, 24, cheated during college qualifying rounds, stole from teammates and was roundly disliked. Ryan even refers to Reed as “golf's remorseless villain.” “The accusations that were made against me are serious and were intended to damage my reputation and character,” Reed said in the IMG statement. “They will not be taken lightly. My team and my representatives are looking into all aspects of this matter, and we look forward to setting the record straight. “For now, I'm staying focused on my life in the present and being the best husband, father and golfer I can be.” Reed, a four-time PGA Tour winner, tied for 40th at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, and is not entered in this week's Farmers Insurance Open. Ryan's book chronicles the lives of up-and-comers on the PGA Tour, and will be published in May. --- While I generally don't have anything against the guy, I do have to say that he does come across as the overweight loner that sought attention by stabbing people with pencils and stealing lunches at school... It sounds like there may be some legal dances in the near future for Mr Reed. One thing is for sure, IMG should have a litigation handicap of +1 with the amount of practice they're getting.
  5. There are no words to describe this....or maybe there are: But is this the worst of all-time? Pick your worst.
