Listening to Michael Breed this morning, he brought up a question for his listeners to chime in on and I thought it was an interesting question. So with apologies to Micheal for stealing his idea, let's hear your thoughts. So answer the poll above, and leave your reasons below. The topic was centered around Phil Mickelson, whether he'll play the US Senior Open this year---My Goodness, is he really 50?---or play the Travelers Championship being held the same week. Pros for the US Senior Open-It would be his first major as a Senior, it's at Newport Country Club--and if he won in some small way it would be a consolation prize for not winning a US Open. No, it wouldn't give him the Career Grand Slam. Pros for the Travelers-Annually one of the best tournaments of the year for the players, their families and caddies, in the way they are treated. Usually a strong field, and more importantly a win or good finish would help his point total toward the Ryder Cup.
