  1. The folks at SQAIRZ Golf and Sir Nick Faldo have made some pretty impressive claims about the SQAIRZ shoes. From stablity, to alighment and most of all improved club speed. Are the claims for real? Follow these 5 members as they will be putting the shoes through the paces--literally-to find out if they in fact do pick up 2-3 mph club speed. Whatever the findings are it's sure to be an interesting and unique testing! Testing Members @Urbs_Valhalla Review @GregB135 Review @Larryd3 Review @2puttbogey Review @Golfspy_CG2 Review
  2. Inesis is a brand that has made a bit of a splash in recent Most Wanted testing. This is especially true of their shoes, which earned "Best Value" spikeless shoe in both 2019 and in 2021—and was rated the most comfortable shoe in 2019. We've got four Forum members who'll be testing Inesis's Waterproof Grip golf shoes. @analyticandrew @Curtis Atkinson @EasyPutter @MattF

  4. TESTERS ANNOUNCED! As we tweak swings and equipment to maximize every bit of potential, then, we'll be watching with interest to see if these SQAIRZ shoes can unlock a fraction more ball speed for our testers. And those testers will be: @2puttbogey @Larryd3 @Urbs_Valhalla @GregB135 Congrats, guys! Link to full announcement: https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/41868-testers-wanted-4-sqairz-golf-shoes/?do=findComment&comment=705636 ________________________________ Testers Wanted (4) Everyone wants more distance right! Distance is created by you and the use of the ground; it’s not the club. Consider for a moment, the club is merely an implement or conduit to facilitate energy transfer from the ground into the ball. You, the golfer create a vertical force initiated by a weight shift followed by the downswing which sends energy into the ground (action); the ground acts like a trampoline (reaction) and sends that energy back up through your feet into your body and into the club head. This process is called Ground Force Reaction. SQAIRZ golf shoes with its unique square toe design, is the first golf shoe designed to more effectively and scientifically effectuate energy transfer providing more consistent ball striking and increased distance. Independent testing by Golf Laboratories, Inc. showed an average increase of 2.2 MPH and 8.8 yards increase while wearing SQAIRZ versus the leading brands. For those of you who find this hard to believe, it’s based on proof not promise supported by science and independent testing. Newton’s Third law states “If an object A (you, the golfer) exerts a force on object B (the ground), then object B must exert a force of equal magnitude and opposite direction back on object A. Ever wonder why tour player and long ball hitters like Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas are up on their toes while making contact with the ball? It’s because they are throwing so much energy into the ground that the return energy is literally lifting them up as that energy moves throughout their body and into the club head. It is this Ground Force Reaction and your connection to the ground that produces distance. SQAIRZ with its patented square toe design and wider base under the forefoot allows you to create more efficient energy transfer and increase your distance. How To Apply This testing is open to al US Residents--whose shoe size is from 7 to 13 Both Right and Left foot available Please Provide the following information First Name/City State Shoe Size Current Shoe Worn What's The Most Important Thing in Your Shoe Selection
  5. Has anybody heard of and/or tried out Sqairz shoes? They are marketed as a "better" golf shoe, and on their website, they do seem to have made some innovations. I would love to see them be a part of MGS "Best Spiked Shoe 2020". Duffer E
  6. I just purchased my first ever pair of golf shoes. I went with the Inesis Waterproof Grip Shoes due to a combination of looks and price. It didn't hurt that they were on the most wanted list either... Look: The shoes look great. I went with the snowy white, which on the website look a little more gray. The shoes, however, are very white. Which is fine, but I was hoping for a more muted gray. They look like a combination of a golf shoe and a running shoe. I'm digging them. Fit: Their website said that the shoes generally run small and suggested ordering a size up. I did this, and the size up fit like a size too big. In hindsight I should have measured my foot and used their measurement guidelines which would have told me to order my regular size. That said, returning the shoes was easy. Their customer service responded quickly, sent me a return label, and my new pair was in the mail before I had shipped them the other pair back. Feel: The shoes feel great. They may be too narrow for someone with wider feet, but they fit my foot fine. They are a bit stiff at first, but it wasn't uncomfortable during my practice. They are soft and somewhat springy, a feel that I don't mind. I like that the grips are rubber and not "plasticy" feeling. Performance: I've only used them in the backyard, but they seem to perform like a golf shoe. They grip the ground great and feel stable underfoot. My yard has some muddy spots from where I've been practicing and I definitely get some slipping when I'm wearing non-golf shoes. I didn't experience any slipping in these. I'm curious to see how waterproof they are. I'm used to golfing early morning in dewy grass and finishing the round with soaked feet. Price: Can't imagine there are many shoes that have the looks and feel for less than $80. I'd recommend them for sure.

  9. There are some good articles and forums showing off Puma's new Ignite NXT line, like this one: But not much in the way of reviews yet. Has anyone tried the Solelace on course or at the driving range? How would you rate it (bonus points if you have used a disc model before and can compare)? I have a new pair of the Disc sitting in my office right now because that's (somewhat) proven technology, but I like the look of the Solelace better, so I keep looking down at them debating an exchange (but I'm skeptical... seems like it could be gimmicky). We have about 3 months until golf season starts in Wisconsin, so I'm hoping someone in a warmer climate has actually tried them out and can give some insight to help me with the decision. Thanks!

The Crossknit 3.0 ($150) available in three colorways (grey, blue, and black with green outsole) is designed for comfort utilizing BOOST™ cushioning without sacrificing traction, favored by players who are looking for something both comfortable and untraditional. 13. Hey everyone I am looking to get a new pair of golf shoes and I see that more and more brands are offering boa systems with their seemed like previously it was just footjoy employing the system, but now adidas, Nike and even Puma are all on board with some sort of boa-type system. I know they are supposed to supply a more secure hold throughout the round, but what other benefits are there? For people that made the switch, what made you try them out and stick with the system? And does anyone know what the acceptance is on tour? Any input is appreciated. And if there is another forum that already talks about it, drop me the link and I will check it out. Thanks!
  14. MGS STAFF REVIEW BIION FOOTWEAR Written by: Dan Mann My Dearest BIION, I'm writing you this letter so you'll always know the impact you've had on my life. I'll never forget that night I came across your profile online as it's burned into my memory for all eternity. A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I'm a touch old-fashioned with traditional roots and an Oxford Brogue style. I like to think I'm re-defining the classic Oxford theme, but with a spikeless twist. I'm super comfortable, waterproof, washable, anti-microbial, and odor-resistant. My EVA material makes me the lightest catch in town. I have a Dual-Density Midsole, meaning I'm shock-absorbent and really stable. People constantly compliment me on my spikeless ‘honeycomb' pattern cleats, saying how I'm always increasing their grip. Most of all I like to think I'm an original design that pays homage to timeless Oxford silhouettes. I'll dazzle you with my five collections and over 30 styles. I messaged you that night; I could barely sleep with anticipation of your reply. Morning came and I unlocked my phone, there was a notification, it was you. My palms got sweaty and I giggled like girls passing notes in class . Then you made me the happiest man in the world. “Meet me Saturday morning at eight?” IT'S A DATE When I first gazed upon you BIION I was shocked. “How could this be the same loafer?” I asked myself. Is this really what EVA is? You don't exactly look like you do in your in your profile photos. I mean, I knew you were EVA but I thought you'd feel a little more luxurious for your prices. Anyways it's a date so I sucked it up. You did look pretty all done up in your fancy packaging, bold colours and stylish trimmings. And then, I tried you on. Biion, you were so comfy and airy on my toes, my heart raced like a schoolboy during his first kiss. Your inner sole felt a little slick against my socks; I stopped and took them off. Wow, you really knew how to get a guy's attention by letting him bare it all. We made some unforgettable shots on the course that day thanks to your increased stability and your vivid colour pallet certainly turned a lot of heads. It was all going so well and then I waded into that damp rough… Wait a minute, you didn't warn me those air holes on top would let water in! You lied to me saying your material is waterproof. Now my feet were are all wet, how did you expect me to go into that bunker? We ended our date fast and quickly went our separate ways. IT MUST HAVE BEEN LOVE As the week went by all I could think about was the weekend and the chance of seeing you again. I'd spent many a late nights matching all your styles with every piece of my wardrobe; “I'm going to need more belts!” I exclaimed. Then you texted; “Saturday at 9?” Here in pleasantly mild Vancouver, I live in flip flops from May until October and you, BIION, are the first shoe that comes even close to that love on the golf course. You feel so open and free, yet somehow you mold gently to my feet. Your comfort can only be described of that like a warm cup of cocoa on a cold winter's morn. Your Dual-Density Midsole has a massage like effect while giving me more than ample stability. I'm really shocked how solid your honeycomb cleat pattern feels over every shot. Let's not forget how light you are either, I hear the angels' harps as we float through the clouds. But what about that dew you ask? OK I get it now; your materials are waterproof, but not the overall shoe. However, this is what makes you special. A little water on the toes is not a big deal; it quickly evaporates and dries because you're so airy. My playing partner just complained her socks are all wet from trudging through the damp rough in her street style shoes. And when the round's all over, I simply take you off and run you under a tap. There, all clean. Then a quick towel down and back onto my feet for perhaps a stylish clubhouse lunch or drinks on the patio. THE WRAP We took another long, beautiful fall walk today amongst the dew soaked leaves. My feet are soaked, but I see your inner beauty now. It's no secret I want you for less, but perhaps that's a "me not you thing", as it seems everyone we talk to expects you to cost at least a hundred dollars or more. In all honesty my feet have never felt as good as when I'm with you BIION and I'm sure glad I went down a size as recommended. I wish we had spent our entire lives together, but no sense living in the past. We've got a long and bright future ahead of us. http://www.biionfootwear.com/

  16. NIKE FLYKNIT TAKES TO THE COURSE A street-style staple, the Nike Flyknit Chukka was originally created in 2013, as part of the HTM line — an ongoing collaboration between NIKE, Inc. CEO and designer Mark Parker, Nike design legend Tinker Hatfield and style ambassador Hiroshi Fujiwara. A year later, the shoe cemented its sporting legacy on the medal stands of Sochi. Its appearance in golf, a first for Flyknit, brings a fresh aesthetic to the fairway and a sustainable twist to the sport. A revolutionary manufacturing method, Flyknit enables designers to micro-engineer every stitch of the Chukka to create a featherweight, formfitting one-piece upper while simultaneously reducing manufacturing waste and materials. The upper is further enhanced by Nike Flywire technology for support and lockdown. Nike Flyknit upper technology for a supportive, lightweight fit Nike Free-inspired outsole for natural flexibility Integrated Flywire cables for lockdown and support Next, to bring the silhouette inline with golf needs, a golf-specific Nike Free-inspired sole unit, with superior traction elements in the toe and heel, is added. And the upper is also skinned with a thin TPU layer for water resistance against light rain and morning dew. The Flyknit Chukka has been worn on the course by Patrick Rodgers, Jamie Lovemark and Kevin Tway. It is available to the public in two colorways for men (black/white and racer blue/white) and women (black/white and pink pow/white) at nike.com and select retailers. The Nike Golf Spring/Summer 16 line disrupts the status quo with bold new polo designs, advanced legwear and radical footwear that takes tailored performance to a new place, for the modern golf athlete. ----------------------- Looks like companies are try to make high-tops all the rage this season. First it was Puma and now Nike with the FlyKnit Chukka. Personally, I'm not sure if I'd wear em or not. Have see them on I guess. What do you think of the Nike Golf FlyKnit Chukka and would could yourself wearing them? At least giving them a try?
  17. http://www.truelinkswear.com/ Looks like they have gone on sale, Both @$99.00 (They kind of get you on shipping though... 12.00 for Fedex Home)
  18. I was reading an ad last night for the new Callaway Xfer Pro golf shoe. I haven't really paid too much attention lately to golf shoes. I own a few pair of golf shoes that I switch around on occasion. Man, you wouldn't believe all the technology that goes into making a pair of top of the line golf shoes. Let me (and Callaway, Adidas, and FJ) show you what I mean. Callaway says - Designed to provide the ultimate in power Xfer, it is loaded with Xfer technologies. Xfer means transfer in cool speak. See? Callaway claims their new Xfer shoe is "loaded" with technology and possess Power! Did you know for example that the Xfer has… A minimized toe to heel height lowers the foot's center of gravity. Ahh yes. I like being closer to the ground. Even by a 1/16". An adjustable X Cage structure is built into the upper and hugs the foot to enable synchronized power movement in tandem with the outsole. There's that word again. Power. Wear these shoes and you'll have more Power. I'd assume they mean I'll hit the ball further too. And all in perfect rhythm. My feet need to be X caged. The integrated Superfeet™ Pro insole improves alignment, balance and body position for a more fluid power Xfer. Awesome. Now instead of hoofing around like some amateur slug it I'll be carried around the course on Superfeet. And not just any old Superfeet but Pro Superfeet. And all my lousy swing moves will vanish and I'll start swinging like Erine Ells. … with Power. Fluid Power. As an added bonus for any of you granola heads Superfeet are vegan and free of latex, nickel sulfate, formaldehyde and preservatives. It's good to know my feet won't rot off during my next round. I suppose if I should get hungry and eat a Superfeet insole at the turn I'm least eating healthy. Xfer Dynamic Traction Technology combining built-in tractional elements with strategically placed Pro Flex PINS performance spikes to deliver optimum traction in any condition. Dynamic Traction Technology? Huh? Dynamic implies movement. When I swing I want grip… more static. I guess it's more controlled slippage they're after here. Additionally, these shoes have Pro Flex Pins spikes. I mean, who doesn't want spikes like the pros use? And these have them. The Xfer Power Wall prevents lateral side foot slippage during your swing, while absorbing and releasing energy through the load and unload of your swing. Here it is again. Power. But this time it's in the Power Wall. None of my shoes have a Power Wall. I must be a chump and losing distance. Secondary set of fashion laces in complementing color included. Lastly, if all this new found Power doesn't do it for you Callaway is throwing in a second set of "Fashion" shoe laces. Somehow I feel these laces contain most of the power. Don't you? Callaway isn't alone in awesome shoe technology. Not by a long shot. Adidas has "revolutionary" Boost cushioning technology. The shoe also has "AdiPower Boost". More shoe – more Power! The Adidas AdiPower Boost shoe will also keep you on swing plane due to additional Gripmore Technology. It's easy. Get new shoes and fix your swing. Lastly we have Footjoy with the D.N.A shoes. These shoes have more advancement packed into them than ever before. FootJoy couldn't do it last year. But, this year is different. These shoes have Micro-vents, 3-D foam collar, fine-tuned foam, Nitro-thin outsoles, Stealth cleats, snug-fit tongue, and ChromoSkin. Whew. I don't know if I'm ready for all that at once. Sadly, no Power from FJ. In summary it seems that if you don't start wearing one of these new shoes you're losing distance and your swing will remain sucky like a broken tree limb. According to these companies these are the best shoes ever. Ever! They will not be able to beat them. Everything these companies know is packed into these shoes. It can't get any better. Until next year.
  19. Pretty sure I'll have to be purchasing a pair of these for someone at home.
  20. #MediaKitMonday comes a day late compliments of Nike Golf. This kit (as you can pretty easily figure out without me telling you) is designed to formally introduce the new 2015 TW Golf Shoe to the media. The included card tells the story (see below), so you don't need me to rehash it for you. There's nothing over the top here. The focus is on the shoes and the Nike Golf mantra #TheresAlwaysBetter. Optimistically, it will be a few weeks (few=6 to 8) before I can step foot onto McGregor Links for my first NY round of 2015, but you can be sure I'll give these a try when (if) the snow melts. Noteworthy about the shoe itself is that it's much more sneaker-style than previous models. While the inspiration for the shoe will always be what it was, Nike is clearly moving away from the idea of a golf boot...save the Lunar Bandon. Nike sent me a wide size (which is what I prefer), so other fat-footers like myself have options.
  21. My first travel solo led me on a fabulous whirlwind trip to New York City last week, for an Adidas special event, the Golf Women's 2015 Launch Event. I'm not sure what maniacal brainchild came up with this event but it IS genius! Don't worry, I'll explain later. Few items that grab my attention when it comes to ladies golf fashion; you get the same old cookie cutter looks or the outrageous looks, nothing in between. If they are in between, they are not what I would be willing to spend, when I could be spending that on a hot outfit I can wear more often anywhere (not just on the course). However, after attending the Adidas Golf Women's 2015 Launch Event last week, we finally have a golf company that gets it. I do love golf but what I really love is, looking hot and feeling confident in every outfit I decide to wear. Although, I have many options off the course, I feel I have to compromise on the course. Until now! The 2015 spring/summer ladies golf apparel motto is "built for an athlete, designed for a woman". Adidas hit the nail on the head with this one! Why should I have to compromise my athleticism on the course by sacrificing fashion. With their new upcoming line, you don't have to! As always, Adidas sacrifices nothing for quality. So it's no doubt their new collections will allow women to move freely, without restrictions, on or off the course. To prove this, Adidas invited several ladies to Golf & Body NYC to test it out for themselves. The event allowed guests to meet and greet LPGA celebrities, learn new fitness techniques, a fashion show of their 2015 spring/summer collections, access to simulation booths, and of course be among the first to experience the feel and look of the new collection with some great pieces to take home. Built for an Athlete Putting us and the new product line to the test was Kim-Lien Kendall, yoga and movement educator at Golf & Body NYC and co-founder of SMARTer Bodies. Because ladies have different physical builds than men, Kim had participants really focus on the needs and demands that golf has on women's bodies. Don't expect to come to this top facility and not have to strive for the best. The ladies this night, including special guests (LPGA 3 time tour winner Jessica Korda, LPGA 4 time tour winner Anna Nordquist, and Golf Channel's very own Lauren Thompson), took part in a 25 minute workout in their new Adidas collection pieces. The workout itself was five different golf focused exercises, followed by a cool down with yoga stretches. Talk about putting these clothes to the test; we were n the ground, in the air with plyometrics (that's training that involves jumping), twisting and stretching. Never once did I feel self conscious about any unwanted creeping up or down of clothing, exposing unwanted skin. The clothes moved as I did, with rotations, twisting, bending and stretching. One word, ClimaCool. No worries about overheating the materials were stretchy, soft, and cooling. I'll have a whole other post about the fitness techniques we were shown to help build your golf game. Be you, Beautifully Strong Earlier I had mentioned the plain Jane looks that most companies have in their ladies clothing lines (I get it, we need basics, but not EVERYTHING!). They're so boring! On the opposite end of the spectrum, I feel they get a little crazy thinking they need to provide something unique. What happens is, these companies, create over the moon clothing with patterns that I wouldn't be caught dead in unless I was an eccentric golfing grandma, or weird impractical designs. Let's get real. If you are like me, most women want to look good and feel confident, and still have that feminine look whether we're on the course or off. Adidas listened to what women really wanted and delivered. Tops: Let's face it rainwear/wind gear is not super attractive in all it's baggy, crinkly glory. I love the the Transparent Wind Full-Zip jacket gives you protection from the wind, but with a fabulous flexible fabric that won't restrict your swing. It a great purple and blue color (Flash Pink and Clear Aqua) with a tasteful monochromatic pattern. The elastic waist helps create that peplum-look celebrating a waist-to-hip curve, making it flattering for women of all sizes. They also have a fantastic selection of peplum and ruffle bottom polos that give that added feminine touch. My favourite addition is the incorporation of the high low shirts. If you are conscious of plumber's crack, when bending to mark your ball, or just like a little more coverage of your beautiful booty, you will love the added length on the back of the shirts. Personally, I have a ton of, off the course, high to low shirts, so excited to see this in womens golf apparel. I have been so jealous of all the choices guys have in classy polo shirts with accent colors and patterns on the plackets (that button up part of the shirt). Now I can get my own without having to pay an arm and a leg! Ladies get excited! They've added different colored collar plackets and accent colors on the polos, to give each shirt a classy pop of style and glam. A great addition is the Slub Polo which provides a less formal, more casual feeling, breathable shirt than cotton or the traditional golf shirt. Same thing goes for their ClimaCool Tour mesh stripes sleeveless shirts with the racerback (minimizing that sleeveless golfer's tan even more!), you can pair with their performance tanks, or a racerback sports bra. Beautiful versatile sweaters in great spring/summer colors, you can wear on and off the course. Not a big sweater fan? How about a lightweight fitted athletic jacket with hidden pockets. Bottoms: There is something for everyone in this category. The essentials ankle pants in Black, if you want you're looking for something more traditional; If you are looking for something a little different but still classy spring for the Clear Aqua color. If you like your shorts, Adidas brings you the option of the Essentials bermuda shorts or jump into a pair of patterned Advance Art Deco shorts. Feeling a little more flirty? I am absolutely loving their Tour Floral Flair Short, with 50UPF and a curved stylish hem. Skorts are definitely my thing. From sporty to traditional, you have great options to choose from: a casual, Range Skort; their color bordered Geo Skort; to my favourite (I was super envious of Heather who was wearing this at the event), the soft ruffled, Tour Mesh Skort in Clear Aqua. Super cute, stylish and fun! Accessories & Footwear: From Ruched Fashion Visors with shorter brims for those smaller faces, to bright colored hairbands for the flyaway bangs, to super cute ballerina-like summer mesh street to course shoes (check out my blog post on street to course shoes). Even if you are a traditionalist, there are lots of accessories that will give you a little bit of summer/spring flair. Blown Away After the golf fitness tips, the guests of the Adidas Golf Women's 2015 Launch Event were treated to a fashion show of the new collection being launch in the spring/summer, followed by a Q&A with LPGA celebrities Jessica Korda and Anna Nordquist, hosted by Golf Channel's Lauren Thompson. After finding out Jessica and Anna's thoughts on the new collection, some things they focus on with their golf game, and funny things they encounter on tours, guests were allowed to take advantage of the simulation bays at Golf & Body NYC while enjoying appetizers and beverages. What a fantastic event and opportunity to mingle with the people who make things happen at Adidas. When asked what she was most proud of, Designer at Adidas, Larissa Grashian says, "In terms of the collections... I am super proud of the ability for us to push silhouettes. In the first collection we played around with collarless tops. The second we had a a peplum top that is longer and leaner than a typical polo. In the third collection we played around with the racerback. I also would say I am proud overall of color. We were able to bring wearable and bright colors to the table. Lastly I am SUPER proud of the fabrics we used. Fabrics that are soft and not the typical polyester hand you find in the golf market. I think they are feminine and that was one of the biggest changes we had in the line." As always, here are Dee's Top 3 things, I love and can't wait to get my hands on: 1. I'm a big fan of visors, and absolutely love the springtime yellow and the feminine cut floral flair shorts. A classy but cute look. 2. You know those days when you don't want to wear the formal golf shirt? I do. That's why I love this outfit, it's comfy and flirty. 3. I absolutely adore these ballerina look mesh summer shoes. I would take one in every color. I mentioned earlier that this event was genius and promised to tell you why, but first... let me take a selfie. Ha! I couldn't resist. Lauren Thompson, she's awesome! Okay, back to why this event was so brilliant. Ask yourself, what are some things women love? We love to shop! Especially for things that make us look amazing. If the golf industry wants to get more women in the game, what better way to do it than to focus on fashion. Not only did Adidas Golf bring a group of strong, smart, beautiful women together but they brought them to a ultra-premium club to give them fitness tips to help them look great, perfect their game, and made them feel like VIPs with a golf inspired fashion show, some great pieces to take home to flaunt to their friends, and eagerly anticipate when they can spend on the new collection for next season (because none of us want to be caught on or off the course in last year's style). BRILLIANT! Hey! We are the population that is stereotyped for spending SO much money. Give us the shapes, fabrics, and style that will make us look better than the average. Keep that glam on the course and off.

  24. ECCO BIOM ZERO GOLF SHOES Initial Impressions FROM ECCO: Improve your game with the BIOM Zero, the lightest most flexible and low-profile golf shoe ECCO has ever produced. This minimalist inspired men's golf shoe is made with a premium Yak leather upper and water-repellent Hydromax™ treatment; the second skin leather lining wicks away moisture while remaining remarkably soft. With BIOM technology this ultra-lightweight, exceptionally low profile golf shoe has dynamic traction and takes comfort to the next level with an experience that's as close as you can get to playing barefoot. UPPERS MADE OF YAK LEATHER The first thing you immediately notice freeing the Biom Zero from their box is the smell of fine leather. There is no doubt in one's mind that ECCO has produced a high end luxury shoe here and really making it apparent is just how soft they are. The outer leather has been treated with ECCO's patented Hydromax treatment and reinforced by a second skin lining to ensure your toes stay dry when it matters. BIOM ANATOMICALLY SHAPED The fit is quite remarkable even for my slightly wider than normal feet. ECCO say it's as close to playing barefoot as one can get I must agree, the shoe almost molds to your foot and being “Ultra-Lightweight” means at no time does it feel out of place. There's really good arch support and noticeable outer stability as well. The inlay is “anatomically shaped” to cradle your and pamper your feet in a very cushioned foam. I just gotta say it; these things are uber comfy. LOWER TO THE GROUND, NATURAL MOTION TECHNOLOGY There really isn't much sole to these at all, but fear not this does not come off as unnatural compared to what you normally might be used to. Those from a traditionally thicker sole should have no trouble transitioning to the BIOMs. Once again, as pointed out before there's a lot of stability to the BIOM ZERO's. ECCO-DYNAMIC TRACTION SYSTEM® (E-DTS®) HYBRID TECHNOLOGY Spike-less? Yes. Traction-less? No. ECCO's “soft Spike” Dynamic Ttraction System® is along to ensure you don't slip when the pressures on. Look for a follow up report after I've had a chance to put some serious playing time on these.
