  1. Testers Wanted! 4 Testers, open to international applicants (RH only). CONGRATS TO THE SELECTED TESTERS! @Shapotomous @twyatt700 @Bohnson @Peaksy68 Sub 70 is the #1 Direct to Consumer golf company according to MyGolfSpy readers. This is due, in part, to the high-quality/low-cost nature of its equipment portfolio. And with the addition of the better-player-focused, 849 Pro driver, the company continues to update its resume with golf gear designed for lower handicap players. The Sub 70 849 Pro driver is 450cc (10 cc less than the legal maximum) and fade-biased. In addition, the849 Pro comes with a weight kit and is adjustable seven ways to Sunday. Each head can be adjusted two degrees up or down in 0.5- to 0.75-degree increments. At its lowest loft setting, the face angle sits 4.5 degrees open and, as you loft up, it reaches 3.5 degrees closed. It has three sole weights: a 12-gram weight in the rear and two three-gram weights in the heel and toe. The weight kit includes a six-, eight- and 10-gram weight, allowing you to adjust further for shot shape and launch. With all of that said, we'd like to get feedback from MyGolfSpy readers.
  2. When the SUB70 939X Hybrid was selected as a Most Wanted winner, we all took notice of this up and coming brand. Now they have updated the original with the 949X Pro and it's time to see if this new version lives up to it's predecessor! The 949X Pro is aimed at the lower handicap golfer with heel and mid weighting to take the left side of the fairway out of play for those with a Draw or Neutral ball flight. With that, we'd like to get some fedback from MyGolfSpy readers. Interesting in testing, reviews and keeping one of these hybrids? Signup at the link on this post. **Note: This test is only open to US Members and RH Only - sorry to our LH and INTL Members, we have more tests coming soon! The test applications are live until 4/23, so get your entry in now! TESTERS ANNOUNCED Congratulations to the following selected testers! @AGutierrez7 @tommc23 @Lakeeriegolfer @rkj427 Continue to use this thread for comments, questions, and your thoughts!
  3. Okay, I’m clearing out my garage and trying to get some good homes for some equipment that’s not getting any use in my bag. Love it. 3Wood- Taylormade M1. Old faithful. I’ve tried newer ones but just love this one. hybrid- Sub 70 949 pro. So pure and easy to hit. Great in the rough too. putter- Sub70 AL6 arm lock. I am always switching putters but I am liking this one so far… ask me next week.
  5. Hey Guys, Does anyone have any hands on experience with the Sub 70 Pro fairway woods? The price is very attractive and I know the last test in 2019 ranked them pretty high, but hoping to find some real world experience. I need something to cover between my 10.5* driver and 21* 4i, so thinking a 15 or 16* wood might get me to those long par 5's in two Appreciate the insights!
  6. I got a some bag upgrades so I figured I would update you guys. I was playing two hybrids (3 and 4) but found that they were going a similar distance (not sure why), so I decided to dump the 3H and stick with the 4H as I am more comfortable with it. I also upgraded my irons and 3 wood, I am currently gaming the M6 Irons (4-PW) and the Ben Hogan GS53 (total technological upgrade, may or may not stick in the bag). I also replaced my GW with a Sub70 48*, will probably replace my 56* with another club from Sub70 once they come out with their new Satin wedges. The last upgrade would be the putter, decided to go with the Wilson Staff Michigan Ave which I am enjoying thus far. Here are some pics:
  7. I'm looking seriously at purchasing new irons and wedges from either Ben Hogan or Sub 70. With that in mind, I was also contemplating shaft and lie-angle options. Maybe getting fitted for a "softer" shaft with a lower kick point in my mid to long irons? Possibly tweeking the lie angles flatter in my short irons & wedges to prevent a left miss? Has anyone else made these type of adjustments? I plan to drop $49.95 @ PGA Tour Superstore for the "Tour Van Experience" and iron fitting. FWIW I'm middle-aged, 6' 3" approx 250 lbs. Driver swing-speed was between 100-105 mph. A good swing produces a nice medium-high draw. Bad swings can result in pull-hooks or blocks. I haven't been fitted for anything since 2007 and that was only with an old school lie board. Any advice or feedback from more knowledgeable golfers will be appreciated.
