  4. This annoys me to have to post this listing but thanks to Golf Galaxy I don't have a choice. I purchased this putter new and played 2 rounds with it but decided it wasn't for me. I tried to return it but GG won't take it back due to a tiny nick that's appeared in the paint on the sole (above the weight). Apparently they have gotten rid of their playability guarantee and won't take it back if it's been used. Nothing in the return policy states this however... Really makes me mad but trying to sell it here is all I can do to try and recoup some of my money. I guess my loss is someone else's gain. Taylormade Spider FCG 35” "L" Neck w/ Headcover and KBS Tour putter shaft. Grip of course is still brand new as is the headcover. Comes with super stroke pp1.0 pistol grip and original headcover. Asking $315 shipped OBO.

  7. TAYLORMADE'S DUSTIN JOHNSON WINS WIRE-TO-WIRE TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP Team TaylorMade's Dustin Johnson won the TOUR Championship for the first time and collects the $15m first prize. Carlsbad, Calif. (September 7, 2020) - TaylorMade's Dustin Johnson seals the FedExCup with a win at the TOUR Championship in Atlanta using a TP5X ball, SIM driver and Spider putter. © Getty Images This is his 23rd win as a professional and it comes along with a $15 million payday and the coveted title of FedExCup Champion. DJ has now won more FedExCup playoff events than anyone else with six. Ahead of today's final round, DJ had this to say: DJ carried the same equipment throughout the Playoffs, including a SIM Max 7-wood with 21° of loft to complement his SIM Max 3-wood (15°). He will alternate between the 7-wood, a SIM Max 5-wood (18°) and his SIM Max 3 Rescue (18°) depending on the course. Staples in his bag include a SIM driver (10.5°), P•730 irons (3-PW), Milled Grind Wedges and TP5X golf ball. Armed with his trusty Spider Tour IB Limited, DJ’s putting was remarkably consistent during the FedEx Cup run. In fact, he only missed one putt inside 5 feet at The Northern Trust and BMW combined (104/105). © Getty Images With world-class driving and ball striking, DJ is tough to beat when he putts well. He relied on the same formula during the TOUR Championship, pushing his lead to 5 strokes as he entered the final round (67-70-64). Continuing his strong play during the Monday finish, he was relatively unchallenged down the stretch opening the day with three birdies in his first six holes. He posted a final-round score of 68 to win by three strokes at 21 under. This was his 23rd career victory, the 3rd of the 2020 season, the 12th with his Spider Tour putter and his first FedExCup Title. © Getty Images NEED TO KNOW 1st FedEx Cup victory 23rd career victory; 3rd victory of 2020 (Travelers, Northern Trust and TOUR Championship) 6th FedExCup event win (most all-time) This is the 12th straight TOUR Championship that DJ has competed in This is the fifth week in a row that the SIM driver has won on the PGA TOUR (PGA Championship, Wyndham, Northern Trust, BMW and TOUR Championship) SIM drivers have now won eight times on the PGA TOUR since the season re-start mid June, that's 57% of the events TaylorMade golf balls have won 50% of the PGA TOUR events since the season re-started mid June © Getty Images DUSTIN JOHNSON WITB SIM 10.5° driver SIM Max 15.0° fairway SIM Max 21.0 fairway P730 3-PW irons MG 52° and 60° wedges Spider Tour IB Limited TP5X ball #1

  10. Carlsbad, Calif. (August 23, 2020) - Dustin Johnson adds another win in 2020 with an eleven shot victory at TPC Boston - the first event in the FedEx Cup playoffs. 13. Center-Truss-Specific Pros: 1. The center-positioned truss frames the ball at address, creating confidence that the ball is well-positioned for a center strike 2. Extremely stable in back-stroke through impact General Pros: 1. Look of a blade at address, weight and feel of a mallet 2. One of the few center-shafted putter options for lefties 3. Pure Roll insert feels like butter Potential Cons: 1. Unconventional looks (not at address, however) 2. Relatively skinny grip 3. Face-balanced, so ideal for straight back and through strokes Having used the Toulon Las Vegas for the past year, I felt it was time for a change. For the last few months, I have been unable to control the face through impact. I began testing putters, and I decided a center-shafted putter felt the best. Unfortunately, as a lefty, CS putters are few and far between, especially ones available to test. Luckily, I happened upon the Taylormade Truss TB2 at 35” with 10g toe and heel weights. I specifically chose the TB2 model because it was a blade and because the truss is located towards the center of the head. Initially, I assumed this would only benefit stability and smoothness of stroke, but the real benefit I have found is the way the truss frames the ball at address. Here is an example: With respect to the MGS Most Wanted Blade 2020 results, I was surprised that the Truss TB2 performed so poorly at 10ft. My personal experience has been improved accuracy from 5, 10 and 20 feet, and I have decreased my three putts from 7.3 to 4.9 per round since switching to the TB2. Before discounting the Truss TB2 based on how it looks on the shelf, I would highly recommend testing it on a proper putting green. For me, it indeed looks like a blade at address, but it has the added benefit of the truss increasing stability and framing the ball.
  14. COLLIN MORIKAWA WINS SECOND PGA TOUR TITLE WITH VICTORY AT WORKDAY CHARITY OPEN Team TaylorMade's Collin Morikawa collects his 2nd PGA TOUR inside 12 months using SIM driver, SIM Max Rescue and TP5 ball, following a playoff. Carlsbad, Calif. (July 12, 2020) - A little over twelve months ago, Collin Morikawa turned professional and joined Team TaylorMade. Now, not even 24 years old, he has two PGA TOUR titles to his name. Morikawa, 23, shot rounds of 65-66-72-66 to win in a playoff after the 3rd extra hole to move to world no.13. © Getty Images Morikawa relied on his stellar iron play as well as his SIM Max Rescue 19° this week to reduce the par 5 5th hole to a eagle-birdie-birdie-eagle across all 4 rounds. Collin has two SIM Max Rescues that he interchanges depending on the course and approach shots he faces. He has a 19° that goes high, landing softly at 245 yards and another 19° that has a flatter trajectory landing at 245 yards with roll. © Getty Images NEED TO KNOW This is Morikawa's second PGA TOUR victory since turning professional in June 2019 Morikawa joins Tiger Woods as the only other player to have won two PGA TOUR titles before missing two cuts Collin added a SIM Max Rescue 19° to the bag which he used to devastating affect on the par 5s this week In the final round, Collin ranked #1 in SG: Approach the Green with +5.873 strokes gained vs. the field For all 4 rounds: SG: Tee to Green +13.530, SG: Approach the Green +9.752 Morikawa jumps to world 13 in the OWGR rankings with his victory today (previously no. 29) © Getty Images COLLIN MORIKAWA WITB SIM 8.0 driver Tensei White 70TX SIM 14.0 fairway Diamana D+ 80TX SIM Max Rescue Tensei White 100TX P750 4-5 DG X100 P730 6-PW DG X100 MG2 52° and 60° TP Juno TP5 #5
  15. Please use this thread for all discussions, impressions and reviews of the new version of the TP5 & TP5x golf balls from TaylorMade The new TP5 and TP5x golf balls will be available at retail on February 15th. NEW SPEED-LAYER SYSTEM The new Speed-Layer System is comprised of four increasingly stiff layers to produce more ball speed. The result is more carry distance off the tee, more control in the wind, and more spin around the greens. NEW HIGH-FLEX MATERIAL (HFM) The 2019 TP5/TP5x feature a new material called HFM—delivering for higher ball speed through a greater rebound effect. HFM acts like a tightly wound spring that builds energy and rebounds quickly, generating more ball speed.
  16. Hello everyone, I have been playing callaway chrome soft for quite some time. I have tried other balls here and there, such as pro v1, bridgestone e6 and tour 330, maxfli tour, and just recently the supersoft from callaway. This is from the time i started playing 5 years ago up until last weekend. I love the way the chrome soft feel on a well hit shot and it was ok on mishits. The supersoft was less erratic and i will find out this weekend more about the distance. Im not even remotely close to a scratch golfer, but i figure straighter is better and should result in lower scoring. Im hoping the supersoft keeps going straight and i dont lose too much distance and control around the greens. Anyone have any thoughts on this, or any experience?

DUSTIN JOHNSON COLLECTS 21ST PGA TOUR VICTORY AND MAIDEN WIN FOR TAYLORMADE SIM DRIVER AND TRUSS PUTTER Team TaylorMade's Dustin Johnson wins the Travelers Championship keeping his streak of winning every season on the PGA TOUR since turning professional in 2008. Carlsbad, Calif. (June 28, 2020) - In just the third event back since the PGA TOUR re-start, TaylorMade's Dustin Johnson added two SIM Max rescues and a Truss TB1 putter to his bag at TPC River Highlands to claim a one-shot victory in the Travelers Championship. His first win in 2020, Dustin Johnson now has 21 wins on the PGA TOUR and ties Tiger Woods with the most number of PGA TOUR wins since 2008 (the year DJ turned pro). Dustin's Truss TB1 putter. © Getty Images Dustin made some key changes to his bag this week adding a brand new putter, Truss TB1 and two SIM Max rescues. My signature has my up to date setup, including bag, preferred balls and current shoes....enjoy Full bag - Mizuno BRD-4 Cart bag in Gray / Red.....just waiting for spring / quarantine to be over to get fit again for new Mizuno irons!! WITB layout of bag contents...loving the ARCCOS caddie paired with my Apple Watch!! Decades old Slazenger Wrath irons 5-PW still in play until I get my hands on some quality Mizuno irons....got fit for JPX 919's last year but seeing the new MP-20 HMB's make me drool!! New Adidas Code Chaos shoes are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.....thinking about grabbing a second pair to switch on-off to keep them fresh!! Upgraded the 3W to a SIM Max 15 deg this year......man this thing is a WEAPON from 200 yards Replaced the Driver early last season with the M5 9 deg tuned down to 7 deg after a great fitting with Club Champion Even though I have always had a good feeling for putting, upgrading to the Odyssey Stroke Lab 7 has given me the extra bit of confidence when on the green!!
