  2. Hi, even though the UK is in lockdown again () so no golf, I’m getting excited because I’m on the hunt for some new clubs in the near future. The full set - except, maybe, the putter. I’ve kept my current clubs for about 10 years and hope to get the same longevity out of the new set. So while it’s not money no object, I am willing to travel and pay (if needs be) for a quality custom fit. If it’s within a few hours travelling of me in North Lincolnshire that would be a bonus. But I may be prepared to go further afield, within England, for the right fitter. Has anyone got any
  3. It feels like forever since the sun was last shining here in northern England and I was able to get out and hit some golfballs in the garden... although it was actually only 8 days ago! We're forecast some nice dry weather this weekend so I hope to get out there once again and teach myself some basics to improve my short game. Last week I tried a cricket-style shot, as suggested by my brother, where I decrease loft by keeping my hands in front of the club head and pushing through, popping the ball up off the ground and landing with little back spin. It is a delicate little shot, wh

LYNX disappeared from the mainstream for quite a while---you can read about LYNX announcing it's return to the US last year in this as usual great piece by John Barba The Cat is Back So what does this mean for the forum.....a great testing o

  6. Hey, I'm from South Cambridgeshire. Play generally at least one round a week, mostly on my own, sometimes with my father and often with my dog in attendance. I'm always open to playing with other people. If anyone is from or in the area, give me a shout and I'm sure we can pick a course to play. Regards, Jon.
  7. You may have read our recent front page article on “How to Organize the Perfect Golf Trip to the UK or Ireland”… If you haven't then you can view it here. Anyway, I'd love to know any additional tips that you might have for organizing golf vacations (either to the US, UK or Internationally), so please post them below. Personally, one of the hardest things that I find when organizing a trip is to get friends (especially guys) to commit to coming, and not having them drop out at the last minute – which can cause a lot of pain. I find that the solution to that is to get the trip
