🚨 Testers Wanted! 🚨

TWSM10-Feature.jpg

The new Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges were released in March of this year and have been a popular addition to many golfers' bags since. We are looking for four golfers to test, review, and keep a set of Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges.

About The Vokey SM10 Wedges

MyGolfSpy Staff member Tony Covey has a complete breakdown of the new SM10 wedges here , which is a must-read, but the shorter version is Vokey SM10 is focused on three key elements: versatility, distance control, and trajectory, and maximizing spin. The Vokey SM10 lineup has six different grind options for a total of 25 different loft, bounce, and grind options.

This includes the M Grind that had previously only been available through WedgeWorks and T Grind that has also made its way to the retail market. The other options that a golfer must choose from are the finish, and the SM10 has three of them: Tour Chrome, Jet Black, and the new addition Nickel.

There’s more though; the Vokey SM10 has refined the shape and CG placement to help optimize distance control and trajectory. This works in tandem with their spin-milled grooves that have groove geometry that varies depending on the loft to maximize spin for each loft.

Titleist Wedge Selector Tool

Of course, all of this can be a lot to take in, so Titleist offers an online Wedge Selector Tool to help simplify things. It is a series of eight questions which gather various information about your current setup and game to help make the best recommendation on what setup would be best for you. To try it yourself, go here!

What Is Being Tested?

As previously mentioned, we are looking for four golfers to test, review, and keep a set of Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges. We want you to tell us how they perform in real-world conditions and play. Importantly, we also want to know how the Wedge Selector Tool works and if the recommendations are what you would normally expect.

The selected testers will go through a Titleist Fitting for their wedge set and see how it compares to the results from the Wedge Selector Tool.

Think you are the right golfer to participate in this test?

I carry Vokey SM7 now - 50, 54, 58. Looks like the tool recommends I carry 48, 54, 60. My wedges are the only thing in my bag thats not fitted - and they are the clubs I use the most. Appreciate the opportunity! image.png.3c4727331c05534141c9f6abbcc23e31.png

Here are the recommended wedges for me if I'm selected.

50° Gap Wedge
F Grind - Bounce 08
The F grind is an all-purpose grind that is particularly suited for full shots and shots hit with a square face. Ideal for players who prefer a traditional wedge sole. The F grind is the most played sand wedge on the PGA Tour.

54° Sand Wedge
S Grind - Bounce 10
The S Grind is a design based on feedback from Titleist brand ambassador Steve Stricker. It is best for square faced shots with a touch more versatility than the F grind. Simple mechanics are best with this wedge.

58° Lob Wedge
M Grind - Bounce 08
The M Grind, Voke?s favorite, is designed for players that like to rotate the club face open and close to manufacture shots around the green. Ideal for players with a shallower, more sweeping swing type who play shots from a variety of clubface positions.

Would be completely STOKED to participate! My birthday is coming up and wedge shopping was in consideration…this would help me ensure an ideal selection to improve scoring while I try to hit more GIR.

Website suggests the following right now:

50.08 F

54.10 S

60.12 D

What a great opportunity! For some reason I just never bring myself to pull the trigger on a Vokey wedge setup. I do like the online fitting suggestions.

Currently gaming Mizuno T22s 50.07 S grind mostly for full shots, 54.08 D grind in the sand and 58.12 D grind around the green. Previous to that I played the same lofts in Callaway MD5 Jaws all with 10 bounce and S grind.

I have a mixed bag of SM7, SM8 and SM9 wedges in various levels of condition. As a 5 handicap, I regularly lean on my wedges for creative shots. It would be great to test a set of custom fit wedges   The screen shot below shows the wedge fitting tool’s selection for my game. If I’m chosen (please) I’ll need the wedges +1” in length as I’m 6’4”.

Thank you:
