Cobra Connect 5 Challenge partnered with Arccos, all participants receive a 13 club Cobra bag and will take part in various challenges.  To broaden the reach of the line, the competition will consist of four Radspeed sets of clubs as well as  two King Tour MIM sets! The full bag includes a players choice of:

  • Driver
  • Hybrids/FW
  • Irons-either Radspeed or King Tour MIM (must choose one on your entry)
  • Wedges
  • Cobra Ultralite Stand Bag

This years event will be a team format, with 3 players on each team.  There be weekly or bi weekly challenges for teams and/or individual challenges.

Prizes will be awarded for each challenge and for the overall winners.

Team Captains

We also have a fun addition in adding team Captains, but not just any Team Captains.

Team Chad-Chad DeHart - Manager, Product & Innovation @ Cobra Golf

Team Yags-Mike Yagley - VP, Innovation/AI @ Cobra Golf

Both Chad and Yags will be following the competition closely, and may or may not have a side bet or two between them on the results.

And don't be surprised if depending on circumstances and availability, the Captains may jump in with their respective teams one week for the competition.

Ha! you may be right, you may be wrong...

BUT since you brought up the Sox, my boys started baseball last week and got some excellent Jersey numbers.

Grady is wearing #24 just like the great Dwight Evans and of course the slugger Manny Ramirez as well.  And Jackson is wearing #9.  Mr. Ted Williams's number.

Some good ones indeed! I may hate the Red Sox (I can't help it I lived in NH for awhile) but there's some major respect for those numbers! Hope your boys enjoy their season!

That is awesome!

But are you sure it isn't Gary Sanchez and most especially Mr. 61 Roger Maris?

I AM sure! Haha in high school I wore #2. It certainly wasn’t for Jeter! 😂

Also Golden Ticket Apollo?

To answer both- Timing of deadline is

And as for the Golden Ticket

Therefore no, which is a rule I completely agree with. It shouldn't be left to chance so to speak. It is a very important event with a ton of popularity and the Mods should pick the appropriate individuals for it... of course if I had the opportunity to I would have jumped at it.

Makes sense. Obviously this is the premier testing opportunity of the year (in my opinion), but there are a lot of amazing testing opportunities to cash that golden ticket in on.

These would be the Same Red Sox, that just split a series with the Seattle Mariners, the undisputed laughing stock of MLB.. They unfortunately are my team, and yes I know the whole thing about blind squirrels finding nuts.. I have to take my shots, they don't happen very often with the M's... LOL

Saw a stat recently that the M's have not made the playoffs since 2001. That's crazy! They had some pretty good teams in the last 20 years.

Way too early to start drawing conclusions in MLB.  At least I hope so.  My Braves were a popular pick to go to the Series, and they're below 500.  They just played a doubleheader against the DBacks and got 1 hit in 14 innings.

You read that right.

Buddy of mine, also a Yanks fan, was losing it last night after we dropped one to the O's. Started talking about trading Judge!

It is April. Plenty of baseball left!

Awe yes I forgot about that. I could have just looked back at my rules to see 🤦🏻‍♂️
As for when it ends mine just says 4/28 as I’m on mobile and can’t hover over it! Lol

That's the facts.. 20 yrs of this might be the yr.. Longest Playoff drought in MLB, and the ONLY MLB teams to NEVER go to the World Series.. 44 Yrs and counting on that one..

Part of my gripe with MLB:  I have no way to quantify this or back up this assertion, but it just seems to me the Series winner is the hottest team, not the best team.  If it was best, the Braves and Yankees would have won every title in the 90s.

Sure, you can make that argument in other sports but in baseball I think more so.

Not sure what time zone that is for either so I guess it could be the 28th? Sign ups have slowed so maybe the 5k was about right?

Exactly and I am sure when the right opportunity comes to cash it quickly. I am non US and LH so sometimes options are limited however I am a proud lefty and love where I live so can't complain!

Those Yankees and Braves teams were ridiculous.

I definitely think being the "hot" team matters in baseball, though it would be interesting to go back and see how many times the presumptive best team won the series. I don't think we can argue the Dodgers were the best team in baseball last year. And a couple of the years the Astros cheated their way to titles (depriving us of a Yankees/Dodgers series which everyone outside of Boston would have loved to see).

In anticipation of being selected for this (it’s a sure thing I just know it!) I just picked up a 3-pack of Cobra Pur Tour golf gloves!

For sure this is more prevalent in baseball.  I see it all the time in High School ball, heck we won a state championship in 2016 without even winning a regional! lol Team that lost had a few D1 dudes and were stunned. Any day can be your day if you're hot, that's why its fun! I love that this thread turned to some baseball talk for a bit 😉 At least ya'll aren't Rangers fans like myself...so much pain...and a special place of hatred for Nelson Cruz.

Out of the about 5k signups I’m guessing there are maybe 1,000 they will be choosing from so I’m putting my money on sometime this weekend.

Ha!  I was just about to post the same thing.  4.4K sign-ups so far.

As far as when the testers are chosen, I don't even want to hazard a guess.  Must be hell trying to sort through all the applications.

Which got me thinking...I wonder if I could help my chances of being picked by ghost writing some additional usernames and saying "I'd follow that Getoffmylawn guy, he seems great!"  I've got a whole bunch of username ideas rattling around in my head...Getoffmyporch, Getoffmydriveway, Getoffmypatio, maybe even Getoufofmyhouse.  They'd never suspect a thing.  That wouldn't be unethical would it?  🤣

I have said it before and when I start talking baseball my mind (being a pitcher) goes right to pitching. Those A's and braves teams had arguably the most RIDICULOUS pitching ever. Can you imagine prepping for a game and saying "Ok boys we have a 3 games series and we have Marc Mulder, Barry Zito and Tim Hudson this weekend" or for the Braves "We have Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux and John Smoltz this week, Good luck!" I loved watching those teams, that pitching rotation was absolutely something to watch

I know.   How the Braves only won one championship with that rotation is beyond me.
