Looking forward to their reviews and work with these as we get to follow their games via arccos and see if it helps them improve their games like it has for many of us!

Congratulations testers! It looks like we've got a great group and I can't wait to see how you all enjoy and improve with Arccos.

Congrats guys!  Looking forward to your thoughts.  I have to say I've enjoyed Arccos even more this year while using my Apple Watch.  I still use my phone for GPS since that's the pocket I keep it in anyway and to save battery life, but getting quick distance reads, marking the flag, etc is all so simple with the watch.

Then a quick review walking to the next tee shows me if I need to edit anything, which for me is rarely.

Yeah he had a issue with the signup button and yada yada. We will find a solution. We may even move this test to the old way if we can't and there is still this bug that shows up.

I used Arccos for 2 years with my Cobra King F8 clubs. Ran into issues with the watch app and switched to Shotscope. Would be very interesting to try it again to check the improvements.

I still had 20% left on iwatch after 18 holes typically, but you ‘must’ go through settings and minimise what’s running etc in the background, plenty of YouTube tips on stopping unnecessary apps and features, just need to do it.

having said that, I’ve moved onto using link because of too many missed shots on the iwatch, it’s all very good, just needs to be better 👍

I've always been interested in the Arccos equipment but the monthly fee has always been difficult to stomach. If you play extremely often then I guess the monthly fee is relatively cheap, but if you play twice a month then its not worth it. Any one have thoughts on the value?

I’ve recently started playing much more often. I’m am currently in the market for a shot tracking system like this to be able to become a more consistent golfer. MGS is my go to for all things golf!

I have been considering purchasing Arccos for my own game. I track some of my own stats but I think Arccos would be an upgrade. I have hesitated due to performance issues with most golf apps. They sell the apps very well but it never seems they perform as well as promised.  I have been leery of getting into Arccos as it must take a serious commitment to use it and analyze it.  A trial would be the way to go for me.

Well of course the ‘value’ of anything is down to the beholder and in this case whether you value the information you get from Arccos, if you don’t use the info you get from recording your shots then it might be of interest but valueless!

I believe one of the most important stats is the ‘smart distance’ results, see my own pic. This has stopped me from e.g. considering whether or not to use a 7i versus an 8i. We all know that 99% of golfers over estimate how far they hit their clubs, it’s a macho thing 🥴, so trusting the true carry is a major step.

Instead I think ‘distance, distance, distance’ and pick the stick I need to play the distance.

In addition, I don’t care what distance my playing partners hit with any of their ‘named’ clubs, ie how far I hit my 7i v how far they hit their 7i, the only thing that matters is the distance either of us want to achieve at that moment, you just pick the stick that will carry that distance.

My confidence in this last year has been transformed and the satisfaction from hitting ‘the distance’ is brilliant. Thus I value what Arcoss gives me 👍

Hey Folks, if you wanted to apply and couldn't for the last 2 hours or so that issue is fixed!

Unless I am a blind fool, I can't find where you could apply.  I am interested but didn't find any links.  Would really like to see how the software works since a data nerd and combining my passion of nerdyness with my pain of golf is the ultimate combination in my book!

EDIT: Well apparently I found it when I came back to the thread.

It's an awesome opportunity, as usual, for MGS members! Our season in Michigan is winding down, so I don't know if I would be the best candidate for it, but would love the opportunity heading into 2023! For those of you that have it, does the yearly fee become bothersome? I never looked at Skycaddie GPS units because I couldn't stomach the thought of having a yearly fee attached to my golf GPS. Thanks and good luck to all the entries!

I said the same thing! I'm not in a place where I can use it year round, so I'm paying monthly fees when I'm not using it. I would love for Arccos to be able to track shots on a range!

I just picked up the set of Arccos sensors and the link in July of this year.    The shot detection with the link is spot on.   I like the smart distance feedback as well.  I use the caddie app to  simulate playing courses ahead of rounds, and then use the caddie selection for the clubs to hit.    So far listening to the caddie allowed me to focus on hitting a specific distance rather than just hitting any distance.

Good luck to the testers

Track my shots manually and use a range finder. Fascinated to see what Arrcos could teach me. My mind says not enough to justify the cost but my mind also calls me a cheapskate. Would love the opportunity to test...on someone else's dime. Best of both worlds!

I guess if you “track your shots, know your carry distances and use a rangefinder” then you probably do not need anything Arccos can give you, unless perhaps it is to home in on your weaknesses using the “strokes gained” analysis !

Been using the ARCCOS’s sensor & caddie for past 4 years, absolutely amazing, never use range finder.

Once you get distance dialed in on each Club the caddie app makes you look like a pro 🎉🎉

I’m surprised that you don’t use the precision benefits of a rangefinder from say 150yds out (unless you play only the same course with the pins in the same positions 😉) because Arccos Caddie does not know where the pin is each day so you could be 20/30 yds out !
Even when the pin position is identified using the Link it just is not that precise, in fact quite imprecise!

but if you have a tip to use Arccos caddie better I’m all ears 😉

I Use the garming G62 watch and always wondered how that would compare to the arccos ecosystem. Looking forward to reading the reviews!!!

I have the S40 and am very curious as well!  I would like to know how accurate both are to each other?

I also was using range finder and manual tracking, but would find myself not trusting my numbers and then falling into using maximum distance rather than expected range.  So last year before I started my club search I picked up a Swing Caddie SC300i  to get the carry numbers tracked.   I have noticed that the calculated total and the real total as tracked by Arccos are very close
