Testers Wanted! TItleist T-Series Irons!

image.png

Yes, you read the title correctly. MyGolfSpy needs four golfers to test, review and keep a full set of the new Titleist T-Series Irons.

While these have been on TItleists Tour Validation period for the last month or so, the official launch to the general public is August 3rd. Now is when we get to find out all the nitty gritty details about what’s under the hood of this series of irons.

This is the third generation of T-Series Irons from Titleist since they moved on from the AP lineup. This generation of T-Seriers introduces two “new” irons to the lineup in the T150 (replacement for the T100S) and the T350.

Here is a breakdown highlight of the series.

Titleist T100 - The most played iron on the PGA Tour there wasn’t much to change from the previous version. However Titleist worked to improve the feel, create tighter dispersion and updated the variable bounce sole.

Titleist T150 - One of the “new” models the T150 retains the looks and progression that the T100 made but with a slightly thicker topline and slightly wider sole to create a more forgiving package while retaining improved ball speeds by an updated Muscle Channel.

Titleist T200 - A non-clicky backplate! However in all seriousness the T200 for 2023 is where some big improvements were made. With some updates to the topline and finish the T200 retains the same size as the previous version with what will likely be a more appealing look. Titleist have moved the speed boosting Max Impact Core closer to the heel and face of the golf club to improve sound and forgiveness.

Titleist T350 - The replacement for the T300, the T350 comes in a package that matches the rest of the T-Series much better. It is a larger, more forgiving iron than the T200 and for Titleist is their Ultimate Game Improvement Iron.

Also included for two of the selected testers will be a Titleist T200 Driving Iron or a Titleist U505 Driving Iron.

Super Excited for this. I got fitted for the previous version of these among a few other choices. Would love to see them in action. Titleist is such a great brand.

I’m in…never played a Titleist club. Currently playing Callaway Apex ‘19 forged irons and I enjoy them but would love better consistency and dispersion in any new irons I’d purchase in the future. Would love to test the T-150s to see if that would accomplish said goal.

I have everything in my bag Titleist, except for my irons (Mizuno fitted).  Would love to try these new T150 irons. I play Men's a couple days a week and could really put these to the test!

I'm currently gaming the previous generation of 2021 T-200's irons, 4-GW. I've played over 20 rounds this season so far in Minnesota and the indoor golf range I go to says I've hit 3,500+ shots since February 2023. There seems to be a good deal of change from the previous generation to what they released today. My insight could be good to note changes from the previous generation. I have access to an indoor Foresight GCQuad launch monitor as well as outdoor range. Would love to give an in depth review of these irons for the MGS community. My specs listed are the same as the current specs I have for the previous generation set. Ideally with a new set of irons I could pass along my old set to father who is a high school golf coach.

Thanks for the consideration, looking forward the golf ball testing results.

As a full blown, full bag, Titleist Ho for almost two decades now, this would be one of the tests I’d truly like to participate in. I’ve owned every model of AP-2 and T-200, so I’d love to test the natural progression to something like the T-350 to see where it falls in the pantheon of Titleist game changers.

The T series looks amazing and the older versions were what I was looking at when I purchased my Mp-20 Irons SEL.

1.  My dream specs as shown below would actually be a mixed set. I would want the T150 irons from wedge to 5 iron-GW. I would want my 4 and 3 iron I would actually like the T200. Finally the  U505 1 iron (and maybe 2 iron). If I was unable to mix the set I would go all T150 in the spec below from 3-GW. The reason I say this is that my current set of MP20 SEL are pure blades from PW to 5 iron. I hit them well but they are for sure not forgiving. Because of this like the idea of the T150 being slightly more forgiving then a true blade not not unworkable like the some of the game improvement irons. I would be scared to do the T200 in scoring irons as I saw a great dispersion in distance with hot clubs like my 2017 Callaway GBB OS irons. The MP20 HMB 4 and 3 irons are easy to hit and more forgiving which is why I like them at the top of the bag and would like the t200 at the top of the bag. Having the game imporement with the longer irons helps ensure that those longer shots are still good when you do not have a pure strike. Same reasoning for the U505 1/2 irons, the more forgiving shot you can have on a longer shot the better. I have a U510 1 iron which is also super forgiving and I would love to see the difference between the U510 and the U505.
