Golf Simulator and Movie Room

 

Another unique part of the house is a golf simulation room that doubles as a home theater. The same screen and projector combo that serve the simulation system can display movies, and is complemented by a 5.1 surround-sound system for this application.

Love the double duty of the room, but after a while movies aren't going to look so hot.  Have you ever looked closely at a simulator screen after a season or two of hitting balls into it?  It's no longer smooth and a uniform color.

Really not that hard to have a movie screen descend from the ceiling within an inch of the simulator screen so you don't have to use the same screen. Once you've spent the 25k to build that out, another 500 on the electric screen isn't a big deal.

I remember when I was younger seeing something like this at some arcade/game place and the price cost the same as a real 9 hole round.
