Pimped up Odyssey #9 courtesy of Spryevo and Best Grips!

Saw the carbon fiber insert on the tweeter and thought it looked really cool.  Got in touch with Charles from Spryevo and he said he could fix me up.  I bought this #9 on ebay new from callawaypreowned then sent it to Charles and he worked his magic.  1st time he had worked with the insert from the white hot pro so we wondered if it would work and I think it looks great.  The feel is very good as well.  Soft off the face and has a nice sound to it.  I'm a sucker for white putter grips and liked the idea Zach just put out with the carbon fiber/leather.  Also had a custom puttershoe made from the Dan the Mann line of Yeti golf.  They lok really good with the black insert.  I have to say both Zach and Charles were both top notch and I will absolutely deal with both of them again in the future!!

Very cool! Glad you liked the grip and puttershoe.  Spryevo is doing some great stuff with the aftermarket odyssey stuff. Really cool!

Not really my cup of tea but with that being said It turned out good I can appreciate the craftsmanship that went into it. I would not want to get it dirty If I had it I would probably display it. Too nice to take on the course

It varies depending on which model and the size of the insert, etc.  You would think that odyssey would have a standard amongst the insert sizes but they differ between models.  I will PM you Charles email and you can get in touch with him.

Stu,  that's the great thing about the new carbon fiber/leather combo BestGrips has introduced.  It's supposed to be more durable and able to be cleaned so it doesn't stay dirty like typical white grips.

Very cool. I'm gonna get the white carbon fiber with red stitch and put it on my ProType #6. I'll probably also end up with a Dan Mann signature series puttershoe.

Never been a real insert fan.  I have had Odysseys (still have one) but the face was too hot for me on our greens.  How does the Carbon Fiber face compare to the regular white hot face?

I can't really say Rick.  I bought this odyssey with the purpose of getting the carbon fiber insert.  I didn't mess with it much between getting it and shipping it to Spryevo.  This is the 1st insert putter I have owned in several years.  The carbon fiber has a fairly soft feel though.  The toe hang on this type putter usually doesn't favor me but I have been pretty consistent with it in the basement.  Looking forward to rolling it on the course.

The grip cleaning would not be a problem for me. It just seems that when I get a real nice club I find a way to mess it up! I have already scratched my new Hathaway driver by carlesness. I put the cover on put it in the bag and one or my alignment sticks scratched it under the cover. Absolutely my fault for using Home Depot driveway sticks with no rubber protector on the tips

I am awaiting the return of my Versa, I am having a copper insert put on to replace the White Hot insert that was in there. I'm not a huge insert fan either, so getting something a little firmer definitely appealed to me. It was a toss up between the carbon fiber one, mostly because of how cool it looks, and the copper that I ended up going with. Hope it rolls it well for you.
