Another year is about to pass us by and we here at MGS would like to recognize the people who keep our site going; the members.  So, the title pretty much says it all. We are looking for your input and suggestions as to what is the “MyGolfSpy Forum Thread of the Year”.

 

What is the one thread that just kept you coming back for more. Well here's your chance to recognize that member and help them win some sweet prizes courtesy of TaylorMade and BestGrips.

 

How this will work:

 

1.  Post in this thread the title and link to your personal favorite thread of the year.

2.  On December 9th we will stop taking submissions and put up a new thread to vote on the top 5 suggested threads.

3.  One entry per user.

Even though this thread wasn't started this year, it's never been off the front page of it's section and is always very active.  So if the rules allow I'd like to nominate Rookie's "How'd you play?" thread because I don't remember there being a thread of the year section last year and it was still such an active thread this year that I think it should get grandfathered in to the contest.

Based on the criteria as I understand it, we are supposed to pick the thread, THE THREAD, that had us coming back time after time to see what was written.  Not something we started but what kept our interest the most.

 

I would have picked something to do with the long putter ban or rules violations or something because those were the TOPICS that kept recurring all year, but none of those had one particular thread that really captured the true essence of this contest.  There was also the Muscleback iron review by JMiller that had 17000+ hits on it but it was started in March of 2012.  Also, the How did you play? thread by Rookie, and the DG thread by MBP are all awesome, but do not fit the criteria.

 

So I perused the forums, all of the forums, and came up with one that had 263 comments and 10726 views,  Not only that I remembered that I visited this thread some 36 weeks this year.  I think this more that meets the criteria.

 

Oh yeah, it was the JBones thread about 2013 Fantasy Golf.

Still no word on what we won if anything.

 

Oh, and while this was started in December of 2012, clearly it was about the 2013 season.  Plus, it was started within a year of when this contest will end.

I think it has to be the "MyGolfSpy Staff - Product Reviews!" - http://forum.mygolfspy.com/forum/58-mygolfspy-staff-product-reviews/. If it wasn't for these reviews, many of us would not be trying out and/or playing the current clubs we own. Also, if it wasn't for those reviews, along with spy pics, this website might not have the popularity that is does today...But that's just my opinion.
