These came in the shop today. Quick thoughts.

They are quite long heel to toe. I quickly compared them to R9 JDMs, which are the R9 TPs in the US and MP57s and they were noticeably longer. I didn't have my MX300 with me but I would say they would be as well.

They have a sharp/high toe versus a more rounded look as the face pic shows.

The sole is about as wide as the R9 (JDM/US-TP) but it does not have the same trailing edge anti-bounce relief. It has relief on on the hole toe as the pics show as well.

The grooves for some reason don't feel deep. Conforming I guess?

The undercut can be seen in most of the irons, especially the heel side. The undercut is in all of the irons unlike the MX300 where it is filled in in the short irons. Undercut just seems to be not as wide in the short irons.

NS Pro 950s in stiff flex D3 swingweight (looks to be really light and thin grips like most JDM offerings)

If I hadn't bought my MX300s maybe I would've considered these for the longer blade length on the not so forgiving days.

Welcome to the forums, and that would be a great idea. Have him buy them, tell him "their both ours, I will just keep them at my house" then post a review for us!

Well somebody has bought them from the shop. He is a good player and he says the thin face design makes these irons feel and play hot off the face. Off the deck he has gained half a club from his previous same lofted set, and a club and a half off the tee.
