JUST ARRIVED - The "Roll Board"

Looking at possibly adding these to putters reviews and possibly some putter labs I have in mind for 2014.  

 

What do you guys think...is "putter roll" something you would like to see added to the putter reviews?

How much are they charging for those? I could make one for less than $20 with 1 trip to Home Depot and an order from a pool store.

Regarding how much you could build it for Rookie...supply cost is one thing...time to build it is another.  TIme is money and these days almost anything like this can be made for $20 worth of supplies.  But if you got the time and money maybe you should start making them.  I am sure lots of people would be interested.

I don't see them helping much, to be honest. The way a putter rolls or skids or anything else doesn't matter In the real world as long as putts are falling. I don't care if a putt hops, skips and jumps, does a back flip and a u-turn as long as it goes in. The point at which it starts rolling doesn't matter.

I would be curious to see how accurate something like this is. But I wouldn't buy one. I can see golf shops having these for customers so people can see what's happening to their ball with different putters.

I think it would be great; I still haven't had the chance to go and pick mine up yet. If you know what to look for (understand their use) they are very good and not what I would consider expensive. My friends that sell these are all x-tour players and are part of their daily arsenal when they were playing. I will believe and trust their opinions, and also they are the Canadian distributors for their putters as well.

I'd be much more interested in a SAM over this. I'm highly skeptical of putting aids in general though.

I can see it useful for a putter fitting shop.....beyond that I wouldn't be interested though.

+1 to that, particularly if one is already is setup to practice putting on a regular basis.  More useful in a shop, when comparing different putters.  I miss more putts from misreading them, than I do from how I make contact with the ball.
