My Hopkins 56 and 60 should be in sometime next week.  Should be able to write something up about them then, if the weather cooperates.

Zinger did a few posts about them and an interview if you want some more info.

 

Hopkins was the CEO of Cleveland when VJ was on staff there so they have a past relationship.  Seems like VJ is following the man and trusting his abilities instead of chasing a paycheck.

I said this on another site amongst the criticisms about VJ. I feel he will be an asset for Hopkins on further development of their wedges and maybe if rumors are true Irons in the future. VJ is a known club tinkerer and I am sure he will be adding his experience

I think I have also said this before. I don't know the feasibility as far as overall business plan but I would like to see Hopkins expand to independent club and fitting shops (not big box stores) to have one on one fitting so to speak. I am one that has to physically put my hands on the club and feel it to make a determination of playability for me

I'm with you Big Stu. Makes a lot of sense.

Thanks Mav. A friend and I were discussing this very subject yesterday. He made this remark to me "Stu those fancy paint filled wedges would not be given justice with you because somehow you would find something wrong with the weight and have all the fancy covered up with lead tape" Yep he is right I did not get the nickname of Dr Lead Tape for nothing
