Simple, it's because of the honesty of the people/testers.  Golf typically is an industry that likes to make broader claims with their marketing.  MGS cuts right through all of the hype and bs to give us the facts.

Id never heard of MGS, one of your podcasts was reccommended by spotify. I absolutly loved the podcast so I went to the website. Again was super impressed by the quality of articles. Stuck to the webpage for a long time, then figured what the heck I'll check the forum. Lurked for a while and then decided to sign up. I can say enough good things about the group of people that post on this forum. Its amazing how nice, and helpful people here are. I'm on a couple other forums for my other hobbies and everyone is an *******. This forum has restored my faith in people. (a little bit)

Not interested in the contest, just wanted to let you guys at MGS and everyone this forum you rock.

I started playing golf as an escape during grad school (MBA focused on Data Analytics). I was spending lots of money to be schooled in the art of business. As my golf obsession continued to grow, it also became apparent how cut-throat and fake the golf industry can be.  I probably found MGS down some internet golf rabbit hole late one night but I haven't looked back.  The transparency and honesty is was brought me here, the continued quality and community is what keeps me here.

I said I'd egg it on it's not like we haven't done so before I mean weeding out people that can't read is always fun.

I read MyGolfSpy because of the reviews for clubs and balls.  I like to hear about some of the courses that other members have played on.  I also enjoy ready the questions and answers that are submitted.  It keeps me out of trouble.  Contest is over but I wanted to say why I like MGS.

Hey,

I come here mostly to try and get free stuff so that I dont have to buy anything. Sorry but this is the truth. I do like to know how the tests come out but mostly I would consider any of the winners but I would likely have to wait a few years for a used one to be on sale. I love the Truth aspect of the site though and the PODCAST if that makes it more tolerable.

Points for honesty, but the way I see it, we don’t get free stuff here.  We pay for it by writing an honest and thorough review, and by engaging with the community.   Over the years, I’ve received literally thousands of dollars worth of goods.  But I have tried to “earn” it each time.

Fact! I would definitely put in the work and have a thorough review of anything I test or received. I would not be a slacker on that aspect since I understand the importance of the testing and know that someone would take into account a testers feedback. So yes not free after all but voluntary testing w/ some actual intellectual input!

I read once that some guy was complaining about the usage of poker chips. He was saying that his ball hit the poker chip and that it did not go in. This has never happened to me and no one before complained about something like that. I love using my poker chip because it has some sentimental value. I also love plaaying poker and I play with friends a lot. I am much better than them and it is boring to play sometimes. Because of that I go to play online on casino-korea. It is a great place to play for real money and have fun time.
