Tip to keep Tamiya Acrylic paintfill in club sole markings?

Recommended Posts

Part way through a paintfill job but have played them too and noticed sole number paintfill being removed, how do you guys keep it filled, if you can at all?

Thanks for any replies in advance.

I always put it on as thin as possible and let it dry fully then put a clear coat on. I prefer nail polish as the clear as opposed to Tamiya as it's tougher

Have a ton of back-ups in all categories, but there are always 14 clubs in the bag that differ depending on the course and set-up. Bomb and gouge. Yes, I'm a club gigolo.

I recently paint filled my 4i through pw with Testors model paint. Red. Except the 7i which I used a lime green. No reason. Just did is all. Anyway my paint is holding up well without a clear coat. Granted I've only played about 5 rounds but it still looks new.

Make sure you've removed any previous paint first.  Then, wipe the areas you'll be painting with some regular everyday rubbing alcohol to clean the surfaces.  Apply paint sparingly and remove any excess after drying with some non-acetone nail polish remover.
