Jmikecpa 13,444
Nice bag. Where do you play in AC? Spend a lot of time there as my wife was born and raised in South Jersey and I still have a summer place on the Jersey shore that I seem to use less and less these days. DanUsh 20
Jmikecpa, I play all over I actually live in between AC and Philly. Saying AC just makes it easier. I have played pretty much everywhere down here except Pine Valley. I play mostly at Buena Vista Country Club because it is by my house and my dad works there so it can be free. Where do you play mostly when you come down. Jmikecpa 13,444
My wife's family now lives in Egg Harbor, but lived on the 5th hole of Seaview Pines when we started dating a lot of years ago. I was a member at Sand Barrens for a lot of years when I lived in the Philly area and spent my summers at my house on the shore. I usually play Seaview, Twisted Dune or Avalon when I am down there these days. I lived in Philly for 5 years while I was in college and then moved just over the state line to North Wilmington so I have played most places in the Philly, Delaware and South Jersey areas.......just not Pine Valley. DanUsh 20
Yea I use Golf Now a lot to try and play all the courses in the area. NJ courses can get pricey compared to courses in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland even. Gotta love all the choices though Quote Bag: Hoofer Vantage Driver: G25 10.5 Aldila NV 65 S 3 Wood: Fly Z+ 3 Wood 13.5* Rescue: XTD ti 18* set to 17* or Pro 23* Irons: Apex Pro 4-PW, KBS Tour S, Standard Length and Loft, 2* flat, Wedges: Mack Daddy 2 50* bent to 51*, KBS Tour S Spin Milled 56* bent to 55* Mack Daddy 2 60* U grind KBS Tour S Putter: Futura X5 MOTO Grips: PURE DTX Green
whiskey golf 61
Very nice bag, and just out of curiosity, what kind of grips are on the irons?
DanUsh 20
Whiskey golf, I got the Pure DTX on them. When I got fit the fitter put a DTX on one of the shafts i was trying and i like the feel. I played Golf Pride V55 cord for a long time. Hoping these will give me a similar feel but hopefully won't be as harsh on my hands. whiskey golf 61
Le us know how the DTX's perform, I'm curious if they can stack up against rougher grips such as cords or New Decades.
tkgolf 1
Those grips are sweet. Green is my favorite color.
DanUsh 20
I have played a few rounds with the clubs and I am a big fan of the Pure DTX grips. I have no drop off in performance. This is in regular conditions. The feel is a little softer then regular cord grips and I like the little softer feel with all the same traction i am used too. The real test will be in 2 weeks when i go to myrtle beach and play 12 rounds in 6 days. This will test what they do to my hands and different weather and moisture. mega 29
I recently moved to the Pure DTX Midsize and I am loving them. Haven't used them in a humid environment yet but in Cali they are working just fine.
DanUsh 20
A change to the bag. I have taken out he Rocketballz 3 wood and replaced it with a Cobra Fly-z+. A new flat stick was added in the fall and I don't foresee the Futura X5 going anywhere anytime soon.
