hckymeyer
Simple question, are the club heads on ladies clubs the same as men's? Specifically on iron sets, say a set of TM Speedblade irons, are the heads the same or would they be lighter? Mr_Theoo
I'm pretty sure they are the same with the shafts only being lighter. hckymeyer
I wasn't sure if they needed lighter heads to hit a normal swing weight when using the lighter shafts Driver: SLDR w/ Fujikura Ventus Black 3w: '16 M2 hl w/ Diamana D+ 82 5w: Launcher HB w/ HZRDUS Yellow Hybrid: 22 deg. RoverRick
I could have a lot of fun with this...... But I would say that unless it is a different model, such as the Calaway Solaire, it would be the same head. Otherwise, why bother. If you are going to build a woman's specific head, market it as such. Shambles
The ones I've seen simply had higher lofts. Makes sense to me as higher lofts are easier on the player and do not require as much swing speed. There are limits to how much any company can invest to access a speciial market and women are way fewer on the fairways and more often relegated to the husband's cast offs. The market for specially built women's clubs is limited. Shambles
hckymeyer
My point in a all of this was around the Speedblade irons. I swap out pretty much any shaft they would come with so if I found a better deal on a used women's set I could just pull the shafts and the club heads would be the same as the men's sets. My big concern was if the head weights are the same. Driver: SLDR w/ Fujikura Ventus Black 3w: '16 M2 hl w/ Diamana D+ 82 5w: Launcher HB w/ HZRDUS Yellow Hybrid: 22 deg. Mr_Theoo
Have you tried emailing tmag or even a fitting center to see if they know? RookieBlue7
Generally speaking, they're the same heads. Occasionally, with drivers, you'll find they use a lighter head than usual. As far as the faces/heads, they're the same and the same material. I bought a ladies XHot driver last year because the mens weren't available in the higher loft I wanted to try. Only difference was the paintfill.I also bought a ladies XHot fairway last year because the crown graphics were different and there wasn't an alignment aid, so it looked cleaner. You'll then be able to compare head weights to your hearts desire. Shambles

I do have a digital kitchen scale I use for clubs and packages, but to compare I would have had to buy both sets Driver: SLDR w/ Fujikura Ventus Black 3w: '16 M2 hl w/ Diamana D+ 82 5w: Launcher HB w/ HZRDUS Yellow Hybrid: 22 deg.
